      No exercise, dependent on others for diet, etc.
      I recovered after about 5 years but recovery is slow at 70 years old.
      And I was an athlete - lane swimming, dance, aqua aerobics.
      Very interesting info, but difficult to even walk long distances yet. Timed swim is appalling - all muscle tone gone!

      Cristina- that's great, but A1C was found to be only 27% ACCURATE... since red blood cell lifespan can range anywhere from 81-146 days! Depends how damaged by glycation they are. So please watch his video on insulin resistance by searching Dr Jamnadas Kraft insulin test.

    Just finished 8 day water fast. I have had thyroid issues for years. I have read that people with under active thyroid shouldn’t do fasting, however, Despite the fast being difficult for me, the results are amazing thus far. Prior to fasting I woke up with headaches every morning. Headaches gone! I physically feel younger and so relieved to be free of my sugar addiction. Feel like a new woman. Haven’t had my thyroid levels tested, but the fact that I feel 20 years younger is a good sign. Thank you doctor. 🙏

      how did you do it. just on water. I am thinking but , how to handle hunger.

    • @katiequ2058
      @katiequ2058 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@arvindgarg2961 initially I attempted a gradual transition, however, that wasn’t working. I think it was the headaches every morning and the bursitis down the front of my leg and a couple of my fingers looked arthritic. I was basically scared straight because there was no denying this was inflammation caused by my diet and my body was giving me a serious warning.
      I have been researching fasting and following Dr Mindy and Dr J so I knew fasting would free me of my bad habits. So, basically once I was mentally on board it was easy because each day I woke feeling better. The hunger and cravings would come and go. I drank water and had clean electrolytes when I felt light headed. Drank lots of herbal teas. I could tell my ketones were amping up when I got the bad taste in my mouth. I didn’t weigh myself because I knew the initial fat to go would be around organs. I could feel an overall shrinking in my body rather than a loss of outer fat or face fat that happened when I’ve dieted.
      My advice would be to listen to your body and be careful who you tell you are fasting because some will undermine you with their “good”intentions. I was able to do the 8 days while cooking daily for my elderly mother who has so much junk food in house and while cooking for my grandson on the weekend.
      It was helpful in the morning to listen to a lecture by Dr M or Dr J or another podcast/ TH-cam about benefits of fasting and the science of it. This kept me focused and excited to keep going.
      Another thing I found helpful was grounding and meditation and getting in alignment with who I really am, the spirit soul and although this body is temporary, in letting go of the resistance of addiction to these processed “foods” and treating the body with respect , I feel awake. Can literally feel my front of my brain waking up.
      I did have a pasta dinner yesterday and I suffered. I felt sick and tired.Probably won’t be doing that again. When I eat something off my plan, no big deal because I will get back on track. I feel too good taking care of myself to go back. I started fasting again today and will do as many days as I feel comfortable. I still have aching in my knee at times and have approximately 70 pounds to lose. Then, once I have my weight down I will get my thyroid checked and do one meal per day for the most part. I am 58 and I feel this was a big crossroads for me whether I was going up or going downhill. I am excited about making the right choice and now looking forward to riding bikes with my grandson and being able to hike on a regular basis. I suggest do a fast sooner than later. Sending good vibes your way!!!

    I’ve lost 58 lbs in 63 days. I’ve done every diet in the world. My theory is, when you’re losing weight fasting or not, as the fat is being burned that is stored, your brain recognizes that food and reminds you of when you ate it and how good it is, sugar and bad carbs control your thinking like a virus in a mouse that isn’t scared of cats.

    At 63 y/o now, I feel proud of the practitioners who tell people what they can do to improve many of their physical and mental concerns by simply treating your body as a vessel of gratitude and not a toilet. Don’t get to or near retirement age only to be held back from enjoying that retirement due to poor health, high medical bills, chronic pain, wheel chairs, more doctor visits, more pills to take, dependency on others etc. etc., if you have a choice. Don’t be a coulda, shoulda, woulda person. We need free support groups to be started to help people get better outcomes. Thank you Dr. J.

    Dr. Jamnadas really shows that staying healthy is nothing you can buy. But what you buy determines whether you stay healthy or not. Because you have to buy foods that don't kill the gut bacteria that keep you alive. And you can't buy exercise, you have to do that for yourself. And fasting is truly a miracle from God himself. Thank you Dr. Jamnadas for pushing me forward in all of this. I'm aiming for 125 years of age and being able to walk straight up, think clearly, talk clearly and take care of myself, all the way to the end of this life. You can't buy that. I don't want to sound hyperbolic but honestly Dr. Jamnadas's videos are so life changing for me. I have been suffering from what i think is SIBO and my GI doctor can't figure out what is wrong with my excessive bloating, cramping and muscle pains. I had a colonoscopy done and everything was normal except my terminal Ileum was inflamed. I told my doctor that would explain why i'm having my symptoms because bacteria from my large intestine has entered my small intestine which is where the terminal ileum is located, causing SIBO. And since that area is the main region where these bacteria flourish(according to Dr. Jamnadas), that would explain why my terminal ileum is inflamed. If you've ever suffered from SIBO you will know it's a debilitating disease. Those bad bacteria compete for your digested food which provides vitamins and nutrition that you body WILL NOT RECEIVE because the bad bacteria is eating it all. This video confirmed my diagnosis.

    • @costa2150
      @costa2150 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I was able to tackle a stubborn case of SIBO with fasting and time restricted eating. After a round of herbs with no success, the elemental diet with no success, then finally a round of pharmaceuticals knocked the SIBO out, but most importantly I had established a solid intermittent fasting regime by that point plus a motility support protocol and that was what kept the sibo gone for good.

    I'm 73 and I recently learned that I have osteoporosis, but at the same time I have numerous calcium deposits where they shouldn't be. A lifetime of calcium supplements, and it all went to the wrong places. I did not know about K2, no doctor told me. If there are two things I would tell my 30yo self, it's 1) quit sugar and 2) make sure you get enough K2. (And don't take any unnecessary supplements.)

      Hi It might interest you and perhaps you can enlighten me. I get the most deepest and most restful, most longest, dead to the world, sleep. I love it. Is this akin to hibernating

    • @no_country_for_real_men
      @no_country_for_real_men ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@valk8466 it's not the same as hibernation but it means that your body is producing all the hormones and neurotransmitters and at the precise time and correct amount. It means your body is in synchronicity and maybe it helps if you are not exposed to random loud background noise by inconsiderate neighbors because that is the number one factor for interruption of sleep of younger to middle aged people but for older people their sleep interruptions are predominantly due to having to go to the bathroom followed by sleep apnea.
