As someone who has had Hello Fresh for over a year, I can confidently tell you that almost none of the meals they send you actually take less than 20 mins unless you actually are a professional chef and can do all the prep super fast lol
I’ve been a professional cook for about six years now; my girlfriend and I tried it for the discounted trial period and after the first few nights, I would set a timer for 18min and I would *very* rarely pull it off lol
Finally someone calling these meal kits out. Yeah doing these kits alone takes hours lmao. The prep alone would take me nearly 20 minutes.
And they're a huge rip off, the amount of food you get is a joke for the price, and the ingredients are sub par. I think the lesson is, never trust any big company for any reason, everything they do is to extract as much value for as little product as possible lol.
You don’t get the meal you get the vegetables some subpar seasoning to prep and that’s it. I get free hello fresh bags from a food drive I go to and they are worth less than the vegan products/snacks the church actually gives me
I just go you foodz now, so much easier and the meals are pretty good and cheap. Just don't go beef

I am just a hair under 6’8” and the stuff Lewis talks about is all 100% accurate. Including 4:27, that moment has happened to me a few times.

Speaking of rejection, in high school we had to do some test or something and I needed a pen but only had pencils. So I did what any other person would do and asked the girl next to me “hey can I borrow a pen” but she interrupted me as I said “i” and put her hand up and said “eww....no” but she like eyed me up and down when she paused between the words. All I wanted was a pen and I got my self esteem punished. I didn’t even do the test, I just stared at the paper. That was like 5 years ago and I still don’t talk to new people. Rejection sucks, even worse when you’re not even asking them out...

It's such a cheat code hahaha. I am 5'7 and was talking with a guy at a party. We are both uni students, similar age, similarly matched in terms of facial attractiveness. Similar surfie clothes even. The guy was lovely, but very plain with his words. Not a story teller at all. Just 'hey bro, yeah bro, I'm from xyz bro how about you" ect.
A very pretty girl jumps into our conversation, and at first she pretends to be there to speak to both of us, but she keeps sliding the conversation his way at every possible step, so I take my cue and go grab a beer. When I walk past them 30 seconds later, he is still answering every question with 'yeah' and 'wicked' and self sabotaging, and she is LIETRALLY assigning him virtues "I feel like you're such a kind guy" "I feel like you'd have such cool stories about that" and so on hahahaha. Getting height mogged is hilarious.

I work in a Michelin-starred restaurant and you're right about most of them. They're more interested in trying to copy Noma and Alinea and seem super artsy, than they are in making really great food. Only a few restaurants are really cutting edge.
