Nespresso Creatista Plus Review 2021 | One Year Later | The perfect ALL-IN-ONE Coffee Machine ?!

  • Here is my review after a year of daily use of the Nespresso Creatista Plus coffee machine. Being a doctor my time is really limited so this little beast is a life-saver for me on those very early mornings. The device is intended to be a do-it-all type (espresso, cappuccino, flatwhite) - advertised as a barista level.

    3:42 Brewing an Espresso
    4:28 Milk frothing for Cappuccino
    6:12 Taste & Comparison
    7:45 Conclusion, Final words
    To be honest this coffee machine looks good (and feels good - more or less), call it premium if you want.
    The best thing about it is the convenience and simplicity. You can prepare any beverage of your choice at the push of a button.
    Plus you have a lot of capsules to chose from so you won't get bored (Nespresso updates the collection frequently).
    On the flipside don't expect the coffee to be as good as that from a specialty coffee shop or barista level. Moreover the milk frothing is lacking in cream and texture, and for best results unfortunately it's way hotter than it should be.
    The price tag it's quite high and my suggestion is to pick a cheaper version Nespresso machine if you can do without the milk frothing that Creatista Plus offers.
    In the end it's all down to TIME, this machine is a huge hassle-free time saver with above average taste and quality!
    Enjoy and feel free to leave questions in the comments below!
    Have a nice one!

    We've gone from an auto machine to a manual machine, and now have the creatista plus. Hands down our favourite machine. Super fast and easy, which suits us to the ground. Coffee quality is identical, if not better - as we can just set how we want the coffee.
    Also because there's no ground coffee, maintenance is really easy (essentially nothing) compared to manual machines.

    Has anyone figured out how to achieve a thick/dense foam using the Creastista pro? My Mastrena broke down after 8 years and the frothing device had many options whereby I could achieve the thick or very dense milk. Any advice on settings would be very much appreciated.

    Nice video. But how is the taste (smell, flavour and temperature) of the Nespresso coffee, can it keep up?

    Thanks for the video. Regarding the digital dial knob. Was yours wobbly/shaky straight out of the box? I bought one yesterday brand new and right out of the box the dial knob was wobbly. Didn’t know if that was a manufacturing fault or expected.

      Mine is not wobbly; however, I’ve heard some ppl complain about that.

      Mine also was a little bit wobbly fromnthe start. On the bright side it did not get worse !

    I have a question: When you switch on the machine, does the display start with the last beverage you prepared or does it switch to a default?

    Nice and detailed review! Difficult for me, as I love good coffee bar capuccino quality, but drink radomly at home (too much hassle for preparing/maintenance is not worth). What about a Jura bean-to-cup machine as alternative? Do you thing could be an option for better taste then the Creatista but also more or less "hassle-free"?

    • @bogd31
      @bogd31  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that the espresso quality from Nespresso is really hard to match with a "hassle-free" - automatic espresso machine like Jura. Also i think that the milk froth produced by this kind of machines is more like a hot foam than cream. Honestly if i had to pick again i would get a cheaper Nespresso machine and the separate milk frothing product, the Aeroccino!

      i had a jura bean to cup for 12 years. 11000 cups. had it repaired a couple of times but was a good machine. it finally gave up and I replaced it with a sage oracle which is also excellent. i am now looking for a nespresso formy campervan and this looks like it fits the bill

    Had one of these, but it only gave me four years of service before breaking down. Not the longevity I had expected.
    Switched to a Bean-to-cup, and I'm saving a ton on the cost of coffee!

      Nespresso has a really good (I think) repair program. My 7-year-old Lattisma Pro started leaking and it was $125 to have it repaired and essentially refurbished. Though, after 7 years, I feel like I definitely got my money's worth. I could see how 4 years would be a little disappointing given the cost.

      That is strange, mine produces pretty good coffee. What capsules are you using?

    • @TheUnnamed0815
      @TheUnnamed0815 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cause the Steamwand in the Creatista (also the pro) is not as good as the original Sage Oracle ones. It’s more or less a bigbubble foam and not the wanted microfoam. Every Citiz + external milkfrother will give you better results.
      PS. There wansnt any cappuccino in the vid :-P it was an espresso with milk.

    • @bogd31
      @bogd31  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheUnnamed0815 True, the steamwand is mediocre at best, whether you select cappuccino, flat white or latte, you get the same result - more or less a (too) hot milk.
