This is my favourite movie ever of all time. It's just such a classic, mythical story: meet the mentor, slay the dragon, rescue the princess. It's Tarantino's take on the Hero's Journey and he couldn't have picked a better setting for it. We really haven't seen this kind of story told in the Antebellum South before. It's a total blast.
Django Unchained was (sad to say) : the first Tarantino movie I ever watched: and it blew my mind! It remains my favourite one (for the few Tarantino movies I've seen)
I have seen 4 Tarantinos. Pulp Fiction (the best), Reservoir Dogs (second best), Django Unchained (third best) and Inglorious Basterds (4th best, still amazing though). Too bad I haven't seen Kill Bill yet :/.
Josef Hautala I loved all the characters (Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Bruhl, Diane Kruger, The blonde girl...); the story of revenge and the seeking of justice; the way that the story builds momentum towards the climax and the dialogue is funny, sharp and tense. The only negative I could have is that some scenes drag a bit, but I didn't mind that at all. Now I'm curious too: Why didn't you like the movie?
Quentin Tarantino did such a good job with this movie that I actually want him to do a Red Dead Redemption movie. That game had a really good storyline behind it and I want a movie on it.
It used to be my favourite movie of all time time too. Now it's one of my favourite movies of all time. I saw a shitton of movies since I saw this movie. That's why.
Not all of us have.. I personally, find myself falling asleep before the action gets a chance to start.. Long, drawn out dialogs about what a quarter pounder with cheese is called in france, or long, pointless discussions about soap.. these tend to make me sleepy.
+Lourdes Saenz Same top 3 for me as well. Bastards was good, but kill bill was better. So if it were top 4 then Inglorious Bastards would be on the list.
+Luka lomidze lol same with u i'd rank 1. Inglorious 2. Django and 3. kill bill series.. i would try and watch more of his movies, especially pulp fiction!
This movie was a montage of everything you would ever want in a movie. It has sad parts, dramatic parts, personality changes, and most of all, parts that make the whole room hysterically laugh.
Raymond Johnson I disagree. Kill Bill and Django and Pulp Fiction are probably Tarantino's best, whereas Inglourious Basterds is a very boring and mediocre movie. When I first saw advertisements and news articles about Basterds, I thought it was going to be an exciting action movie like Kill Bill. It turned out to be a slow soap-opera with a very anticlimactic ending. The main characters are a bunch of idiots who all get killed or arrested, except for Eli Roth and the other guy. However, the worst part of the movie is the one were ADOLF HITLER VISITS A DANGEROUS PART OF PARIS WITH ONLY TWO UNTRAINED GUARDS. How do you explain that? Why would history's biggest villain go to some cinema in a city that hates him without any protection? In Django Unchained, Candy has several dozen of guards that fail to protect him, but still manage to defeat the main heroes. So apparently, a stupid slave owner in the American Confederation has 20 times more guards than Adolf Hitler. Seems legit. I dare you to explain this gaping plot hole.
***** First of all I dont think its a gaping plot hole, I think it is a nit pick. Second of all, I said the movie was a masterpiece, that should not imply that it is perfect or without flaws. What it did right greatly out weighs whatever it did wrong. Whether you're right or not, I do not think it changes the fact that Basterds is an excellent film.
sometimes when you compare movies, its not in the exact way that you personally would think. sometimes you can love two movies equally even while one is better than the other
Raymond Johnson you see how you saying Kill Bill wasnt as good as Django and Pulp Fiction? and now there is a discussion? Thats why people compare them.
1. Pulp Fiction 2. Jackie Brown (this movie is waaay underrated) 3. Kill Bill 4. Inglourious Basterds 5. Django Unchained 6. Reservoir Dogs 7. Death Proof Great films from a great director.
My ranking of his movies: 8.) Jackie Brown 7.) Death Proof 6.) Kill Bill 5.) Hateful Eight 4.) Django Unchained 3.) Reservoir Dogs 2.) Pulp Fiction 1.) Inglorious Basterds
Tarantino films best to worst 1. Pulp Fiction (Awesometacular) 2. Reservoir Dogs (Awesometacular) 3. Django Unchained (Awesometacular) 4. Kill Bill vol.1 (Awesometacular) 5. Inglourious Basterds (Awesometacular) 6.Kill Bill vol.2 (Buy it on blu ray) 7. Death Proof (good time no alcohol required) 8. Jackie Brown (good time no alcohol required)
Liam Shields I'd put True Romance in the 3rd place. I know that he didn't direct it, but he did write it. After that I'd put Kill bill 1&2, Django and Inglorious Bastards on a shared 4th place since they're all so damned good. (Haven't seen Death Proof or Jackie)

I've seen Django 4 times, and It's by far my favorite Quentin Tarantino movie. Perfect blend of Quirky/violent/badassery. My personal list of perfect movies in no particular order: 1. Shawshank Redemption 2. Django Unchained 3. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

Kill Bill is ten great movies packed into one. Every movie deserves the top spot. I might as well pick my favorite out of a hat!
I'm a die hard Tarantino fan and I put Inglorious Basterds above Pulp Fiction. I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger, those who would attempt to change my views.
He is my favorite director of all time... and its not by choice, he just hasn't made a movie I don't like .. not one ..I love them all .. my least would have to be Jackie brown , my best pulp fiction..
I'd have to say the two worst parts in the movie are when the two slaves are fighting to the death in the house and when the one slave gets eaten by dogs.
Tarantino's movies in order : 1. Pulp Fiction 2. Inglorious Basterds 3. Django Unchained 4. Kill Bill Vol. 2 5. Reservoir Dogs 6. Kill Bill Vol. 1 7. Death Proof 8. The H8ful eight 9. Jackie Brown All his movies are fantastic. Sorry Jeremy but Kill Bill is not better than Inglorious Basterds
I honestly think that Django and Inglorious were better than Kill Bill but not as good as Pulp Fiction. As far as Reservoir Dogs, I haven't seen it yet.
Not a big fan of Reservoir Dogs myself. Genius concept, but the execution wasn't there IMO. I disliked the characters and found them to be much less interesting than in Tarantino's other works, the dialogue seemed a bit off, and the movie felt over acted to me. That said, it's still probably worth watching for reference since it is the film that launched Tarantino's career and certainly is a unique film.
owenms2012 It's interesting to see this comment again. Reservoir Dogs has actually grown on me a lot and I really like it now. For some reason it just rubbed me wrong the first time I watched it. It's funny how opinions can completely change over time like that
The thing I love about Tarantino is he can write scenes in a movie that would usually but boring but he makes awesome. Like the scene in the bar, I loved that scene
Seth Damaskinos the way I see it is this: Candie is dead, he was coming for his wife, King is also dead and that's too bad. Who is gonna come after them? No one, they're both free. Of course I understand why he blew up the house, for revenge and all that, but I didn't think it was necessary.
bandgeek89 The sister was just as bad as candy and simply would have carried on as her brother did if not worse so now, more than likely blaming slaves for her beloved brother's death (or at least this is what is implied.) So, yeah she needed to die. The other few guys had guns and if I had to explain why the old man had to die then i'm not sure we were watching the same movie. I mean hell, do I even need to explain why he killed the guys with the dogs that ripped slaves apart for sport? This movie wasn't JUST about saving his wife, it was equally about revenge for Django.
Kill bill 2 had almost no action, besides a catfight, an eye rip, a palming, and getting shot with pieces of rocks in a shotgun shell. Kill bill 1 had it going.
Lmao, typical general audiance. Not a lot of action? Welp, must not be a good movie. The second one filled in the gaps the first one had, better dialogue, you get more insight, you see character development, and oh yeah. She kills Bill in the second one, so it was needed. Also both movies were all filmed at once, but just broken up into two movies, because he knew audiences wouldnt want to see a 5 hour movie in the theatre.
Jeremy, simply said your reviews are absolutely awesometacular! I agree with everything you say and the things that I didn't think of I agree with too. Seriously man keep up the great work because I'm subscribed, if I can do it twice I would!
Django Unchained was a great movie but I can't help but think it was Tarantino's weakest job. I don't know why, it just seemed like he didn't try as hard as his others.
Saying Django is Tarantino's worst movie is like saying Abbey Road is the Beatles worst album, you're not wrong but it's still amazing compaired to the shit everyone else puts out.
john gleason Oh I agree, I think Tarantino is one of the greatest directors of all time. I was just spoiled by Inglorious Bastards and well... expecting something even better xD
Seth Damaskinos Yeah. Don't get me wrong, I think Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are actually better written, better acted, and better made all round, but I find them to just be a bit too sweary and violent for my taste. I know the other three films on my list have plenty of violence to go around, but it's a bit more comic book in style. And I just enjoy seeing a group of women turning the tables on the character played by Kurt Russell in Death Proof.
DarthSibistine Sorry for disagreeing with you. Pulp Fiction was a pretty good film which got better as it went on in my opinion, but it just doesn't compare to Django Unchained.
it takes a lot for me to sit through an entire movie the first time, but Django had me completely hooked. I even liked how it was like 3 hours long, which is unusual for me - it was amazinggg
Saw Pulp Fiction again today. For me it's a Toss up between Inglourious Basterds and Pulp Fiction. Kill Bill part 1 is probably in the mix as well... But if I absolutely had to pick one, it would be Pulp Fiction. I don't know what it is, but there is not one thing about that film that doesn't just floor me with it's direction.
Watched this movie for the first time ever today, LOVED IT! My dad found out and was a little mad because of the movie’s content, but he just kinda shrugged it off when I said it was a Tarantino movie. This is also my 2nd Tarantino movie I’ve watched (I watched The Hateful 8 yesterday)
My personal choice of preference (even though they're all good!) 1) Reservoir Dogs 2) True Romance (Scott may have directed it (and did a fantastic job!)...but it is vintage Tarantino in terms of the script and characters! 3) Pulp Fiction 4) Django Unchained 5) Jackie Brown 6) Inglorious Basterds 7) Kill Bill Vol. 2 8) Death Proof 9) Kill Bill Vol. 1 But they're all pretty sweet!
I like the way you review boy
Damnit
I read that in Jamie's voice.
Ahahahahahaha
We just need some muneh Dutch 💰
ChosenCivilTalk lmao unexpected Dutch
Petition to put Christoph Waltz in literally every movie ever
+Sam A Seconded!
That's impossible, he can't possibly appear in every movie ever. Therefore I propose we develop a method to come humans.

I hate people who complain about long movies. If they're good then you're basically getting more value for money
BetterBoss My thoughts exactly, I hope Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be long.
@@tommycipriani2254 wish granted
@@knurdyob Once upon a time in hollywood was frickin amazing specially the ending.
@@kasperimatias8744 just watched it today actually, really enjoyed it as well
@Kelly inglourious basterds is definitly near the top in my opinion, but still gotta say my favourite of all of them is still pulp fiction
the bag scene is so hilarious
that was my favorite part!
+JP Paul yes it was awesome
I nearlly died laughing at that scene
+Decemburrrrrr I CAN''T SEE SHIT!!
That scene is hilarious
Tarantino's 10th movie should just be Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, and Leonardo Dicaprio in a room for 5 hours. Yes, 5 hours.
agreed 😂😂
And don't forget Tarantino himself
I'd say make it seven ;)
Where’s Jamie Foxx at?
Can't leave out Uma Thurman!
fun fact: when Leo cut himself when he was talking to Django's wife, he actually cut himself and used his bleeding hand as a prop
He really wants an Oscar
Jakmanuk99 he really deserves one
If that's true I'm sure his wife loved having actual blood slathered in his face be DiCaprio
Mr. Brightside dood u just made me cringe thank you
But the part where he literally smears all his blood on the girls face....BRUH LOL
Quentin Tarantino is, hands down, my favorite director of all time!

Am i wrong to get it on till i die, get it on tll i die, get it on till i die
It was over kill. Pun intended.
I feel Django is better than both Inglourious Basterds and Kill Bill. However, I am from the group that believes Inglourious is better than Kill Bill.
For whatever reason, kill bill is actually my least favorite tarantino movie, I completely agree with ^^
Agustin Pereira i agree with you actually
Agustin Pereira Yeah I agree. I enjoyed Kill Bill but it's the worst one I've seen (bearing in mind that I've not seen Jackie Brown)
iReece4498 oh yeah, Jackie Brown is great, and even if Kill Bill is the worst (imo), its hard not to enjoy a Tarantino film
Agustin Pereira Very true. I'll have to get around to watching Jackie Brown soon
After watching Inglorious Basterds... it is no competition. Tarantino's last dialogue sums it up perfectly: "this just might be my masterpiece."
Nah not really, The Hateful Eight was better. I still enjoy all QT films
+Tommy Cipriani nah inglorious was so fucking funny
inglorious basterds and pulp fiction are by far and away his 2 best films
Tarantino has many masterpieces this Django Unchained The Hateful E8ght and Inglorious Basterds
A filmaker can only have one masterpiece, in my opinion it is Inglorious. Although Kill Bill is my favourite of his.
Vote up if you think Quentin Tarantino should direct a Red Dead Redemption movie.
TEVIN WILLIAMS (removes sunglasses) My god... I never thought I'd find a TH-cam comment with such genius!
That is a god damn genius idea
As much as I love Tarantino and Red Dead, I'd say NO!
No. Keep his ass away from that.
Red Dead is more serious for the likes of QT, Red Dead makes men cry, QT will make it for us to laugh.
Django Unchained was (sad to say) : the first Tarantino movie I ever watched: and it blew my mind! It remains my favourite one (for the few Tarantino movies I've seen)

5. Reservoir Dogs

Josef Hautala Welcome to my opinion :) And if you disagree with me, it's okay.
Josef Hautala That's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever read in my entire life.
Pulp Fiction and ...emmm...mmm...and .....nope...that's it!
Quentin Tarantino did such a good job with this movie that I actually want him to do a Red Dead Redemption movie. That game had a really good storyline behind it and I want a movie on it.

Dr. Schultz was definitely my favorite character in this movie.

I Love This Movie
Inglorious Batserds made me huge fan of Quentin Tarantino..
i can say he is one of the best directors ever produced in the history of Hollywood
Why can't Quinton Tarantino direct a Mortal Kombat movie??
Because it'd be 84% dialogue and 16 % action
Chad N So? Go watch Transformers dude.
This could be true, but I bet Tarantino could make some sweet fight scenes. We've all seen Tarantino violence...
Not all of us have.. I personally, find myself falling asleep before the action gets a chance to start.. Long, drawn out dialogs about what a quarter pounder with cheese is called in france, or long, pointless discussions about soap.. these tend to make me sleepy.

There are 3 things that are certain in life: death, taxes and Tarantino being an AWESOME director.
Id like to see Tarantino direct a Wolfenstein movie.
1. Pulp Fiction
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. Reservoir Dogs
4. Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2
5. Django Unchained

5 Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Then how do you them in your ranking if you haven’t seen them
This is really tough but if I absolutely had to pick one Tarantino movie it would probably be Kill Bill Volume 2
What? It's the worst
Conall Farquhar You're kidding me right? There was such great acting and character development in that one. You know what forget it. Let's just agree to disagree.
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill Vol.2 was incredible, it adds so much depth to the first movie, I think both those movies are a bit unappreciated
thank you. Kill Bill vol 2 has more character development than any other QT movie. love every second of it.
I've only seen Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Jackie Brown, and I am already obsessed with Tarantino. So excited to see this

The dialogue in pulp fiction makes it the best movie ever let alone the best Tarantino movie

+Skyshroud Sylvan probably some of the best parts because you felt bad for them and anger at the same time against the slave owners
1.) Resevoir Dogs
2.) Pulp Fiction
3.) Kill Bill (Vol. 1, then 2)
4.) Inglourious Basterds
Haven't seen Django yet, but I'm planning on it.
Jackie Brown was so underrated, great cast.
Tarantino's movies in order :
1. Pulp Fiction
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. Django Unchained
4. Kill Bill Vol. 2
5. Reservoir Dogs
6. Kill Bill Vol. 1
7. Death Proof
8. The H8ful eight
9. Jackie Brown
All his movies are fantastic.
Sorry Jeremy but Kill Bill is not better than Inglorious Basterds
I agree, I do like inglorious basterds so much, and I do think its better than kill bill
TheAirborneGib without a doubt
David Hernandez kill bill is just one movie
And yes , better than inglorious bastards 😎
Ernesto Rivera nope.
Funny watching this after seeing Infinity Wars and hearing Jeremy say "that does put a smile on my face."
It's funny how opinions can completely change over time like that
This movie is flawless
Gotta say, I've still got a soft spot for "Reservoir Dogs" as my favorite Tarantino movie of all time.
Django is defo the best Tarantino movie. EVER. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
1.Inglorious Basterds
2.Pulp Fiction
3.Reservoir Dogs
4.Django Unchained
5. Kill Bill
1. Reservoir dogs
2. Inglorious basterds
3. Django unchained
4. Pulp fiction
5. Kill Bill volume 2
Keep in mind, this is just like, my opinion man.
1/Kill Bill
2/Inglorious Basterds
3/Pulp Fiction
4/Django
But I'm still young, so I think Pulp Fiction's place will grow
The thing I love about Tarantino is he can write scenes in a movie that would usually but boring but he makes awesome. Like the scene in the bar, I loved that scene
when he was talking about not being killed like a dog in the street? that was hilarious
I thought the ending to this was completely unnecessary. Django should've just got his wife and gotten the hell out of that house.
But it was so badass :(
Say that again.
It was so badass, it had to be done.
Kill bill 1 had it going.
i agree, the first was the best kill bill 2 wasnt really needed imo
nothing like getting stabbed in the heart right in front of your daughter that says ACTION.
I like 2 better, the final scene between Bill and Beatrix was classic Tarantino. Vol 1 was a lot of eye candy but didn't really have any substance.
Yeah but vol 2 had the story and charecters that vol 1 lacked
Lmao, typical general audiance. Not a lot of action? Welp, must not be a good movie. The second one filled in the gaps the first one had, better dialogue, you get more insight, you see character development, and oh yeah. She kills Bill in the second one, so it was needed. Also both movies were all filmed at once, but just broken up into two movies, because he knew audiences wouldnt want to see a 5 hour movie in the theatre.
I forgot how good this film is , loved the hateful eight also
my tarantino top 5 list
1 pulp fiction
2 django
3 reservoir dogs
4 kill bill
5 inglorious basterds
2:50 Stealception
Jeremy, simply said your reviews are absolutely awesometacular! I agree with everything you say and the things that I didn't think of I agree with too. Seriously man keep up the great work because I'm subscribed, if I can do it twice I would!
I actually like this better than Pulp Fiction.
Kill Bill Vol.1 is still my favorite
I rarely clap at the end of a movie... But my god did I give a standing ovation!
I was just spoiled by Inglorious Bastards and well... expecting something even better xD
its a close call between django and inglorious basterds
Give Don Johnson his credit as "Big Daddy" in the film. He was funny as hell and he played that role to perfection......
django is the best!!!!
1. Kill Bill
2. Django.
3. Inglorious
4. Jackie Brown
5. Death Proof
6. Pulp Fiction
7. Dogs
Pulp Fiction all the way down? Even below Death Proof?
Seth Damaskinos
Yeah.
One of my all time favorite movies
My opinion
1.Pulp Fiction
2.Django Unchained
3.Kill Bill Vol.1/Vol.2
4.Resivoir Dogs
5.Inglorious Bastards
Not bad
Mine is
1. Pulp Fiction
2. Django Unchained
3. Inglorious Bastards
4. Resivoir Dogs
5. Kill Bill Vol1 1/Vol.2
Nice
McMagic15 Nice
Honestly I didn't enjoy Django as much as I though I was. Am I the only one who thinks it's a bit overrated?
DarthSibistine That's exactly how I feel about Pulp Fiction.
LoN3wOlF5tudi0s Well then forget you.
DarthSibistine Sorry for disagreeing with you. Pulp Fiction was a pretty good film which got better as it went on in my opinion, but it just doesn't compare to Django Unchained.
Ang Rza What?
Ang Rza A bit aggressive are we? And apparently u care since you replied to my comment.
it takes a lot for me to sit through an entire movie the first time, but Django had me completely hooked. I even liked how it was like 3 hours long, which is unusual for me - it was amazinggg
Kill bill all day son
Inglorious Basterd is my personal favourite and I know a lot of people who agree, I've watched that movie over and over and I just can't get enough
1. Pulp Fiction
2. Django Unchained
3. Reservoir Dogs
4. Inglorious Basterds
5. Kill Bill vol 1 & 2
Jango and Mace reunited
*mind blown*
Tarantino likes "Eh yeah let's have her step on the eye!" "Perfect!"
Pulp and reservoir dogs are just classics, but I fell in love with this movie. It was so damn good.
You don't watch a Tarantino film, you experience a Tarantino film. Kill Bill is still numero uno for me, but this is definitely up there, holy wow
Totally agree with you! First, Kill Bill (amazing!), then Django Unchained, then Inglorious Basterds, then Pulp Fiction.
My personal choice of preference (even though they're all good!)
1) Reservoir Dogs
2) True Romance (Scott may have directed it (and did a fantastic job!)...but it is vintage Tarantino in terms of the script and characters!
3) Pulp Fiction
4) Django Unchained
5) Jackie Brown
6) Inglorious Basterds
7) Kill Bill Vol. 2
8) Death Proof
9) Kill Bill Vol. 1
But they're all pretty sweet!
