Quick Cleaning Guide for Selling Shoes on eBay 2020

In this video I show how I quickly clean up a pair of Nike shoes as well as a pair of men's dress shoes before listing them. If you are getting started with reselling used shoes on eBay you have probably found some shoes on the thrift store shelves that look like nice shoes, but that are dirty or potentially damaged. Assessing the ability to clean these up quickly and make them saleable is a necessary skill to help you save time and eliminate bad buys. As you'll hear me say in this video, be more selective with what you buy and everything is easier from there. I don't spend a lot of time cleaning shoes because I don't buy shoes that need a lot of work and those that I do are only because I know I can make at least $100 profit on the sale.
I also show how to quickly identify the model number on Nike shoes so that you can look them up in the store very easily and determine if it is a valuable shoe or not. This is particularly easy with Nike shoes so make note of that if you are just getting started.
Shoes are a great clothing item to sell if you are looking to start making higher margins but they do take up more space and can require more upfront investment so buying wisely is essential.

Attention shoe cleaners, a EXCELLENT cleaner for shoes is called “saddle cleaner” you can find it anywhere that sells shoes by the laces and polishes. It’s amazing. You will also need to purchase a horse hair brush which is under $6. But can be used many many many times!

Put then in a pillow case with a few drops of dish soap and machine wash on gentle

Thanks for the video. I place shoes in a 1/4 of water for a minute or two. For the most part the dirt on the bottom comes off rather easily.

If you just run the sneaker sole under the faucet they will clean up easily
