      :D Thank you. You get used to it. After a while, it's just "another day in the office". There is always something happening, and I even had to limit the incidents I could include in this video. The X4 was recently stolen as well. It had to be repossessed, and when it returned I found stacks for Debit Card blanks in it.

    Henrik, great video? I mean, GREAT VIDEO! I don’t know where to start or how to react. I worked for a well known rental car company and the damage department was the busiest. Several department managers were always in court. Love the video content, excellent all around production. Your calm demeanor is amazing. I may have to comment once more as I just can’t believe what happened to your autos. Glad you are recovering from all the bad stuff. Catch up soon. Wishing you smoother rides with damage free weekend for the rest of the year 2021.

      You get used to the damages - it’s never ending 😀. The red BMW is already damaged again.

      Thank you very much for watching! Putting a car on Turo is a big decision with huge financial implications. It can be fun and rewarding, but it can also be a total nightmare. It all depends on what you’re expecting to get out of it.
      I started out putting my “baby” on there, but knew I had to detach emotionally from the car at that point. It definitely hurts the first time something bad happens, but you get used to it quickly. Now I have separate cars that only I get to enjoy (in addition to my Turo cars.

    Just found your videos and I'm really enjoying them! I'm curious, if you had to pick between the GLC 300 Coupe and a BMW X4 (comparing relative engines 4 cyclinder vs 4 cylinder or 6 vs 6), which one would you choose? I'm currently in the market for a new car and I've narrowed it down to those two. My main priority is driving enjoyment as I've never owned a "fun" car and I've owned Toyota 4 Runners for the last 15 years. Oh and I'll be getting either the X4 30i Msport or the GLC 300 coupe (not the 6 cylinder versions they offer). Thanks!
    PS: I know it's odd that I'm getting a crossover when my main priority is driving enjoyment, but I'm just not ready to go to the low seating position of a coupe or sedan. Also, occasionally I'm forced to drive on some bad gravel roads where a little ground clearance is nice to have.

      If you're going for driving pleasure - as in a more sporty ride - I would go with the BMW every time. I loved my GLC300 Coupe as well, but for different reasons. It was more comfortable and less edgy - the exact things you tend to give up in order to have a sporty ride. For a long road trip on boring roads, I'd rather be in the GLC300 Coupe, but for fun drives on twisty roads, the BMW wins every time.
      Did you end up buying one of the two yet?

      @@cadreamdrives thank you for the info! Yes I ended up getting a 2022 Brooklyn Grey x4 30i msport. It’s crazy how rare they are. I actually never even knew what they were until I started looking for a new car. But I appreciate hearing your opinion and it sounds like I made the right decision. I’m loving it so far.

    I'm afraid I would seriously hurt someone if they brought my vehicle back like that. Or maybe I buy a bunch of $5k beaters and hire a full-time detailer to manage a fleet of cheap, throw away cars. That way I never see them so I won't get angry.

    • @cadreamdrives
      @cadreamdrives  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It takes a while. but you get used to it. Some people do exactly what you're suggesting with a fleet of "shooters". I enjoy the cars themselves, so I try to go slightly higher end with my cars. It's not the damages that gets me - and it's not even the guests, who present crazy stories or get angry with you - what gets me is the incredibly inefficient and casual handling of claims that Turo and some insurance companies sometimes display. Some companies are great - Geico is the worst I've ever dealt with!
      But there is definitely a "learning curve" in detaching emotionally from the cars when you first start out as a host!
