that charitable donation is on the way to you the second I land in two days, I am a major blkmagic micro G2 fan, my rig is pretty impressive but I love yours
This is the first time anyone has bothered to show the HTML interface to this camera on youtube. I'm still researching whether to get this camera. When i heard about the built in web server, I thought about rigging it up with a raspberry pi which could act as a wireless router. Looks like you have a different more purpose built device. I think ideally I would set up a cron job in raspbian to upload (sync) files to a Peertube server in a cloud VPS where the files could be transcoded for viewing as an automatic dailyes repo. Not sure if blackmagic cloud has a public API to do this with their cloud serivice. I used to code but its been over a decade since I last did programming but an auto-sync shouldn't be too much drama. Could even use rsync. Anyway, I'm not sure if i will even get one soon. I'll probably be getting the S5iix first.
Nice, thanks. My only issue with this camera is it doesn't have 4k DCI (only HD) like the pocket 4k does. BMD websites show a slight difference in sensor size is probably why. Otherwise it's an awesome camera.
Agreed. When I use it as Cam2 for interviews, I usually use the 42.5mm LUMIX f1.8 prime as the go-to lens. Any formatting adjustment to match the PCC4K is unnoticeable when formatted to 1080p..
This is very cool. Thank you again. I think I got all camera/lens functionality available to me working remotely… i have a Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm f/2.8 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens MFT, Micro Studio G2 shouldn’t I be able to control zoom through software? Also, I must ask did you update the software to add the red banner at top and blue sliders? Sorry if i missed you mentioning this in video.
@@EyesOpenMedia Thanks for the update. Glad everything is working. The software can only control powered zoom lenses and they are rare and expensive. However as you adjust the zoom, the software will display the current focal length of the lens. The red banner is when you hit Record. It is a visual cue that you are recording. The Blue Sliders seem to appear with Chrome whereas Edge shows them as Grey. In an upcoming video I have the rig on a Gimbal with the 35 -100 zoom operating... Also Autofocus running on a Sirui 35mm Anamorphic with a special video effect.
@@EyesOpenMediaI believe it's easy to balance a camera the size of an orange on an RS2, but not so easy with a 50Wh V-mount, RavenEye, SSD, Hub and all wirelessly controlled.
@@mombasaflash Most folks were happy to work it out themselves. However, we are releasing a separate video showing step by step how to. Should be out in the next ten days.
@@mombasaflash Not sure if you saw the follow up video, but we tested the LoS distance to about 350 feet as is. The Hollyland video transmitter works over a much further distance, but the limitation is the iPad Mini. Noteworthy is that my Android phone was connecting at a greater distance.
Gr8 job! I have this camera interested in the wireless setup. I am not seeing the donation link can you help me? I found the link. I made my donation of 10 bucks you did very good job. How do I access the material for the build?
Thanks for the Donation! The Parts List has been added to the videos. Between Amazon and B&H you can pick up everything - depending on your preference. The first video shows the construction item by item. Not all the parts are listed as chances are you have some or similar already. I recommend the UGreen Hub as it has a LONG cable that can reach the USB port on the Camera. Reach out if you have any questions.
@@EyesOpenMedia You have to special order it from Will at XLCS. He put one together for me bespoke as the extra length screws are special ordered. Therefore, it is not listed on the site. Just message Will and he will get back to you with details. As an alternative you can use the standard Riser Kit and mount the Router on top of the Top Handle. There is a video showing this configuration here th-cam.com/video/Apgx5XD1CNU/w-d-xo.html
I will not be using a top handle, this rod extension better for me thx. What part is that in this video where you mounted router to a clip looks like behind battery to hold router? That’s my only missing piece to puzzle for my setup. This is a fantastic setup and working out great!
Hi. The screen I am showing is a demo of the HTML Camera Control. This is NOT the screen of my ATEM ISO. The demo is wireless control of a MSC4KG2 using HTML. I recorded the wireless video over SDI OUT on the camera, and the screen of my tablet on HDMI #1 and #2 of my ATEM ISO, which might be the confusion. LMK if this answers your question
A new video just uploaded th-cam.com/video/VDhgJMOU9jo/w-d-xo.html with the parts list, how the software and hardware connect, and a working donation link :)
Thank you for the support!
Thank you too!
This is great! I’m glad you made great use of my software, and thanks for spreading the word!
Your software makes it possible for this rig to work effectively! Thanks!
Thank you Dylan!!!!!!!! Your software is wonderful !!!!
Wow sir this is an amazing build out.
Glad you like it. There ae more videos coming with different configurations and all being controlled by an App on a phone!

This is exactly what I was thinking of doing for easier control instead of through the 4 buttons, will be watching. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. I am working on a version of the software running on a phone to make it even more convenient. Be sure to subscribe!

The XLCS cage makes it possible. I have not seen a similar offering in the market that you can build out to this degree.

Anyreason a tiny access point like a Mikrotik mAP lite, couldn't be used as the wifi link for this setup?
You can use any wi-fi router. I used that router as it fits neatly inside the cage. No reason you can't mount another router anywhere.
I have tried to make the donation but the link does not connect
