You could be using your atem to record to your Mini SD drive if you have an ATEM ISO model, that would eliminate the need to connect an ssd to each camera.
does it do SDI? I have cheapo the z1f's now and the concern of mine is continuously plugging in and out the micro HDMI. I have a black magic 4-port hdmi capture card but I would love sdi just moving the camera etc with everything plugged in makes it drop frames or completely drop out. And great video thank you!
If you're using the ATEM already, please just give Resolve a try for after the fact editing, the workflow is just "glorious" - Premiere isn't bad, but it isn't close to what the software from BMD intended for the purpose is like.
We plan on live streaming our podcasts and have 3 cameras that are in 4k that we would like to switch between during recording. You mentioned in another video that the Atem Mini down samples the quality to 1080. Is there a live stream switcher or solution that keeps the 4k quality within the cameras whilst live streaming and exporting? Thank you so much… we are excited to make this dream a reality.
@ would you available for a 5/10 minute call. Looking for help creating our live stream podcast studio with the current camera set up we have now. Would appreciate it and pay as well :)
@@DarshPatelTVhey! I’m looking into this setup for our podcast as well. If we aren’t live streaming and using an atem mini pro iso, does it still write everything as 4k? Is the down sampling only if you live stream?😊
Hey Jerad just wondering if the cameras power on and off remotely when connected over hdmi... does the ATEM board allow them to turn on remotely? Or thru Blackmagic software?
It does 4K over HDMI but the ATEM Mini Pro only takes in 1080p60. I record 4K to the SSD and then replace the ATEM 1080p files with the 4K from the SSD.
Hi One question I want to make a PTZ camera with BM micro V2 and the panasonic Power zoom lens you have. Wondering if the power zoom is working fine and if you got any suggestion to transform this camera to a PTZ DIY BRAW camera for live event concerts etc which could be insane for IQ price ratio...was thinking about getting the MARS 2 transmitter receiver which is on sale by BH... Any suggestion ?which low cost solution could be applied for event based multicam solution not for live stream but more for production (I usually record 10+ camera BM,Lumix DJI and sync with DEITY TC 1 but I wanted to go the PTZ road for more live concert feeling close stage experience where a camera operator is kind of not welcome (classical concerts mostly) Tx for your help I usually don't like the IQ of most PTZ exept the super expensiv one with log footage Sony got some kind of FX3 PTZ solution so was thinking make do something similar with BM micro 2 Fil
Boy that would be nice but that will drive the cost of these cameras waaaaaaay up so you'll need an adapter which would hurt the footage. I prefer adapters in this case
I dont understand. Can't you just hook up 4k hdmi cameras to a bunch of cheap usb 4k capture devices to control multiple sources while recording directly onto your computer? No external ssds. I am curious as they do sell these super small 4k box cameras (cheap examples Mokose/ELP ~$150) with manual zoom / focus that are even smaller than the Blackmagic G2. If your studio has good lighting the sensor size will be less of an issue. Otherwise if you can get a higher bit 1080 raw output it will be easy to upscale to 4k in post anyways.
@jerad - Just watched two of Koala NYC's videos in which he control this camera relentlessly and without using the menu buttons, thought it may be something you'd be interested in: th-cam.com/video/xJ7M-CTvOEM/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=KoalaNYC th-cam.com/video/ClP1ApsLuHI/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=KoalaNYC
I am scandalized at the lack of content WRT these fantastic cameras. They are the only cameras of their kind. Thanks for the coverage!
Are you using a LUT? If so what one. Thanks for the vid legend.
looks great, the right tool for the job imho

I do have an SSD connected to the ATEm but I want the 4K footage which the ATEM ISO cant provide me.
Which lenses are you using with this camera ?

I use Resolve quite a bit but my editor is Premiere only which is why I still use Premiere.
@jeradcamera you likely love your editor, but if would like to try us out, we do utilize resolve!

Yes, I believe the Blackmagic Constellation 4K will work. I am currently looking into this as a solution for my studio.

I’m currently working on this for myself. Once I have something solid I’ll post a video about it.
do they also used Sony lenses without any adapter?
No. You would need an adapter.

Do you need a thumbnail designer, video editor, video creator, graphic designer, animator, script writer and more?
