I lost my nuts to tighten my carb what size are they?

Yo,, Yes PZ26 & PZ27 are interchangeable, upto 200cc, I'd say the pz26 is more efficient for fuel but the difference is small, & that doesnt necessarily mean it runs better in terms of throttle response & power so I'd prefer the pz27 myself if you favor faster pickup,, if you'll spend more time slow-driving & idling, the PZ26 would be slightly better for efficiency.

Ayos talaga pz27 na carb dati sakit sa ulo sa umaga hard starting kailangan ko pa painitin xr150 parang gumanda byehe tapos kapag di mo nalinisan stock na carb ng xr may backfire na pinalitan ko ng pz27 ayun happy ako sa performance almsot 1 yr na kong naka pz27 maganda naman chill and godbless paps

Paps tanung ko lang ginalaw mo pa ba throttle needle nya di mo ba nilagay sa richer o number 4 kasi minsan may hagok siya di naman lagi kasi may nabasa ako sa isang forum na ilagay daw sa richer at ung floater nya iadjust pa help paps salamat
Ganda talaga ng carb na yan bro 1 year na ko nagamit nyan sa xr ko walang palya kesa sa stock ko na carb dati na sakit sa ulo...dati nga parang nagsisi ako ng kumuha ako ng xr150 dahil nagdesign ang honda ng motor na hard starting...eto lang pala sagot ride safe paps godbless

How much does it improve the performance?
Honestly not sure about top end & have no scientific testing to go off, but low-mid end & throttle response is noticeably improved, especially when getting upto speed, power delivery between 2nd>3rd>4th feels more linear while the stock throttle would fall flat about halfway through(kindof feels like bogging for lack of a better word & did this from brand new).
I'll have to do a video after getting a good service since the bike has been sitting way too much due to restrictions here in PH(Not much reason to ride it).

What too speed can you do now?
Ended up selling when moving house, speed was about the same but acceleration/torque through the throttle range was more consistent. Maybe a little rich. Running a PZ27 on the new bike(Lifan 150) & it made a much larger difference, half throttle+ was almost dead on stock 26mm now it really pulls especially uphill.

I hope you get to see this comment. It looks like you know your way around an XR150L and the carburetor.
I have an XR since new and I have always had a problem with it bogging out at initial throttle up (takeoff throttle). After a few years I finally replaced the carb with a TMX 155 carb new.
I still get the throttle bogging, it seems to do it more when the engine is hot like in stop and go traffic.
Have you ever seen this problem before and is there a fix for it? Everything else about the motor performance is excellent.

G'day, There could be multiple causes for bogging off idle,, I'll just give my opinion & share some resources that might help you narrow down the issue..
I would start with a sparkplug reading, see if it's black around the tip(rich) or white(lean), ideally you want it a shade of brown/grey. www.lazerhelmets.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Lean-Spark-Plug-Reading-Chart.jpg - Reading the plug can help figure out what to do with the carb.
Also worth cleaning out or replacing the air filter if it's been awhile, or if it's not that old, double check for air leaks that can be overlooked, make sure the exhaust header bolts are tight(sometimes one doesnt get tightened properly) & the airbox clamp is tightly secured after swapping carbs, sometimes the hose can get a kink when fitting it or it takes a double check to see the hose wasnt fully on when tightening the clamp(tiny air leak).
If it's rich or lean & you never adjusted the carb, the the mixture screw is on the front underside of the carb,,a bit hard to reach mounted on the bike, you'll need a short flathead or a small padlock key that can fit it easily. You can also buy longer aftermarket mixture screws if you arent in too much of a rush, they definitely help when tuning on the fly.
You'll want to turn it in(clockwise) to lean out the mixture if it's rich, or out to richen the mixture if it's lean. It's best to do this with the engine warmed up.
There's a great video demonstrating how to tune the mixture 'just right' but it's using a air screw on the side of the carb, not fuel screw like on the underside of the PZ27, the functionality is the same just turning the screw has the opposite effect so keep that in mind when turning the fuel screw in or out,, the direction I described is based on which way your fingers turn when holding a little key/screwdriver from underneath but the method for tuning is basically the same between different types of carbs.
If that makes sense to you then THIS video will help with getting the mixture just right(although the mixture on default settings might be fine). th-cam.com/video/YxpQjDQzX7g/w-d-xo.html - Keep in mind when tuning at idle, the bike has to be warmed up & the idle screw turned up a little bit to make it easier to distinguish RPM changes, the bike can overheat//get hot if you take too long so it's good to do it with a big box/pedestal fan blowing on it but the vid should give you a pretty good idea of what to do.
You can also diagnose from other behavior if it may be a jetting issue as sometimes different sellers will give a PZ27 with different jets in which case these 2 links may be helpful;;

Maybe you got the wrong pz27, different brands gives different performance. My first change was pz27 Yoshi, and issues got worst. But later on I got pz27 Keihin and got better performance.
How the hell do you adjust the air screw with this carb on this engine. Bought an xr 125 with a pz27 and the air screw pretty. Much impossible to get to
All the local Honda/Keihin mixture screws are in that crappy position sadly, small 'padlock' keys or flathead drill-bit(angled from the side not bottom) work best. Otherwise see if you can find an aftermarket 'extended' screw such as this one; shope.ee/3AgvUsH1du .. If you want a more premium upgrade look up Nibbi PE26(fuel knob on the side).

Yep, I've seen that, maybe they are expecting too much from what's basically a side-grade for startup convenience, definitely a better match over stock & revs more freely in low/mid but it won't do much for top speed compared to a sprocket change.
That or it's quality control when going too cheap with these cheap aftermarket ones, I was careful to check reviews for the one I purchased but I saw some complaints on the same item from other sellers, jets may be mis-sized or poor quality on the ultra-cheap ones or something else amiss.
@@Jo3yization I did the same I think they're so universal that the jets aren't standardized so I looked for reviews about my specific quad before I pulled the trigger

Was it brand new? Try adjusting the idle RPM, if that doesnt help you might want to do teardown check the float is level etc.

Definitely more mid range torque but never had issues on mostly flat city roads.
