Can't speak for Japanese ethics in global sales. They appear above board generally.
Except Nissan publically complained about counterfeit parts from North Korea and China getting into their supply chain.
I found a Chinese trade document online with a list of the countries they export to.
More than 130 diffetent countries. The document listed all receiving grade A quality items. Conspicous in the document was America at the bottom of the list as the sole grade B quality recipient of export goods.
The UK gets marginal quality because China is still butt hurt over british colonialism in Hong Kong. Chinese "rawhide" of hongkong citizens. "Head em up, move em out." To the Laogai.

@@JackOfAllBladesCh Honda is just being dumb and cheap. The US is low to the Euro so exporting from USA will net them 20% more revenue on the assembly labor but that could change and Swindon has worked hard and good for them. I am sad to see that happen. excellent presentation. let us not forget we still have a 4 strokes in the internal combustion engine; the mechanical effeciency is the factor that we have to improve.. being a 4 stroke engine, the improvements you described is only a small tweak; the work required by the piston going up and down 4 times to complete the cycle cannot be denied, therefore you cannot compare to an electric motor- approx 98% effeciency versus an gasoline engine approx 18-21% mechanical effeciency. electrifying our prime movers is the answer.
