Mariah Carey is really famous for her vocal range and people listened to her bc of that. She has good songs but I've listened to singers who have songs that go beyond me . I can FEEL the music. With Mariah, the only thing I see are the whistle notes.

If you tell me that you can't feel her emotion in her songs "Can't Take That Away", "Outside" or "Petals" (no whistles in any of them) well definitely Mariah will never touch your soul and that's OK. You may not be in tune with her music but then again, millions are.
