    dude.. it will wheelie 1st & 2nd but not in 3rd (stock), and the torque is not too much for a chain (check out the turbo busas etc all chain drive)
    dont get me wrong though i have this bike, for 2 years now rode everyday
    onboard footage is good, especially the sound, communicates well the smooth strong feel of the bike on the road, and the deep deep rumble which grows to a bellow when u open the throttle

    Looks a nice, smooth, tractable bike. Love the shaft drive and decent sized fuel tank. Toss up between that and new Ducati Monster 1200. Do you have the Triumph Scrambler over there? Hope so. Thanks.

      Triumph wants to compete in the American cruiser market? Yet failed to realize cruisers are very largely about style. No chrome equals no style. Black primer is plain ugly. I parked my 2005 Red & chrome Rocket next to a gloss black wblacked out chrome & a matte black w/no chrome Rocket at a local dealership. Every person that walked up looked at my R3 as if the other two were not even there. If Triumph was only going to give us two choices it should have been one with & one without. I can't wait till this backyard out of a spray can flat black primer trend is over.

      Vic Pownall And flat black is original? Yes its all a matter of opinion but flat black stopped being original a couple decades ago.

    Is the saddle a two piece? Can you ride with a solo seat?

    • @GulfCoastMotorcyclesFortMyers
      @GulfCoastMotorcyclesFortMyers  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a 2 piece seat on the Rocket III Roadster.

    I have a Rocket 3 Classic, 2007, same engine as Roadster. I don't barrel the bike much and take it easy, but no matter how I ride the bike it drinks fuel like its going out of fashion, Is this normal? I've had the bike now for 4 years and know how to ride it. It ticks over great, with no missing and has an even sound, like the one on this video. I even put back the original cans, hoping to get better MPG, but heck no! Still guzzles juice. I guess I will have to live with it, but any advice on this is welcome.

      Paul, I have a 2005 R3. It is a gasaholic. I was a little bit amazed to discover there are many good sized cars that get better mileage than a Rocket 3. I bought the R3 for it's torque and I ride accordingly;) So I don't expect great fuel mileage. But here are my numbers. On a recent 340 mile trip at 70-90+ mph I got 22mpg. To work and back daily with a fair amount of feeling the torque, I get 27 mpg. Some claim well over 30 mpg. I did not believe that. So I took a 120 mile ride never exceeding 65 mph & being gentle on the throttle. I got 34mpg

      40mmrrsmith Well if I got 34Mpg, I'd be happy with that too. But even when I stay to those types of speeds, 55-65 mph, I still only get about 22 mpg, I just don't know what the hell is going on with it, thanks for the note though MrSmith, I am just going to have to live with the consumption as it is, I just love the bike to much to part with it.

      +Paul Manning have your fuel pressure regulator looked at, sounds like it is wide open for a 2300 cc engine .

      +I Kat Goat Thank you, I will look into that, any other advice is welcome as I still got the fuel problem on my rocket drinking fuel. did you mean to write the word 'open', when you put 'pen'?

    it's got a large displacement so yeh it's going to eat gas, and his comment about a chain and belt not being able to handle the power is bull shit, let's be honest, if you are going to make dealer videos, can you trust this guy, maybe, maybe not. chain will have about a 3%power loss, belt, 13 but don't quote me, a shaft, 33%power loss, but the shaft will be almost maintainece fee for life. it is a very nice bike all in all
