Good on you brother, I'm 59 for another 6 months, on my second KTM 1290 R, and hoping the Rocket 3 will be my last Hoorah before buying a Bandit or a Fazer
Awesome video Kate. While a lot of Harley guys are trying to build their engines to be bigger, better, faster, they should probably just get a ROCKET 3.
One of my favorite bikes ever. I worked for a Triumph dealer over 20 years ago and was told by the guys there that it was the fastest bike ever. I used to work on and ride many Japanese bikes and scoffed at the idea that this was as fast as a Hayabusa...until I rode one !!! Holy crap I was hooked after that ride !!!
I hankered for a Hayabusa, then Kawasaki made the ZX12R. A nice fellow biker let me sit on his outside Wetherspoons in Croydon and I knew my days on an R1 were over
That's why I like your channel so much Kate, one day your riding a Royal Enfield which couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding and the next your riding a bike which can move continent's, yet you find the best in all of them. £24 grand is also out of my reach, but what a bike.
Oh really, which particular RE model were you referring to ? The twins are very capable machines which are nippy and will cruise easily at 75 mph all day without breaking a sweat. No sign of prejudice here then !! 🤔🙄
What a great review thanks so much. I saw one of these at a Triumph dealership in Ontario Canada (the Blue one) and it was breathtaking. I currently ride the Bonneville T120 Black and that puppy has all the power I will ever need. Nice to see Triumph making such masterpieces in the 21st century.
I have T120 black in Matt grey, love it - but it eats rear Bridgestone every 3-4,000miles. Can you imagine how often tyres would go on this Rocket? Would be fun though
Thinking of buying one to replace my aging Thunderbird Storm... it's lighter than my old Stormzie (which I love)... and another 900cc... yummy! This is a great review Kate and you have made my mind up for me! when you said "Ahhh! Roll on! It does it with such venom! Such hatred in its heart!" I was SOLD! I hope I'm not the only one who has this sort of internal monologue running in my head when riding...
320 kgs is no big deal to cruiser riders, all the big ones weigh this much or more. I admire the Rocket series because not only do they go well in straight lines they can corner hard too due to decent ground clearance & good geometry. You don't need a quick-shifter, got one on my bike but never bother with it. My attitude is if you want an uninvolved, easy life get a car! Good film.
This new Trumpet is brilliant but expensive experience to own I think, you certainly have to respect it but it's comfortable and as you mention it's great for the odd hoon but you can't go 'scratching' on the lanes in the same manner as other bikes. Lots of electronics to help out on such a beast makes sense as well. As an older person with old school riding experiences I can forego a quick shifter and blipper but I've not experienced them yet, manual all the way. If I had maybe my view could change. A cracking review Kate as usual and thanks for sharing your experience with us. I would have the black and red one that you rode in the review, it's gorgeous... and I could find it easier in the dark.
I love your style, passion and excitement along with a very detailed and excellent presentation, Kate. I think one specification that could definitely be increased is the fuel capacity. Here in Australia blasts along open motorways and into the countryside would require attaching a 5 or 10 litre jerry can to the bike unless the route was well populated with service stations. A fuel tank capacity of "25" litres would be very much appreciated Mr Triumph. Great videos. Cheers.
I bloody loved that video Kate. What a machine! Actually makes me want to say bollicks and go into debt to get one. As well as an amazing experience every time you go out on it can you imagine the poser status of such a beast. This is what motorcycling is all about. Well done Triumph.
I owned the 2022 Rocket 3 R and absolutely loved it I covered 9,000 miles on it during my ownership the only reason I chopped it in for a Ducati V4 Diavel is because the wide tank played hell with my arthritic hip and the Diavel is nice and narrow so no pain and I love riding this as well. But there will always be regret that I no longer own the Triumph Rocket 3 R with the quick shifter. Love your reviews Katie xx

I follow a few bike channels on here, and I've got to say that's got to be one of the cleanest reviews of a bike I've seen. No fan girling, no BS, just facts, both good, and bad. I love the Rocket 3's, but that seating position would murder my back, and I don't have a spare AU$24k to spend on a bike. I was also a bit surprised at the weight, cause I honestly expected it to be heavier than my bike, but it's about 50kg lighter before I put the saddle bags on. The power and torque would make keeping my licence very challenging to say the least, as it's enough of a challenge already, cause bikes with balls are just too much fun. lol

One of the things I truly love about you is your humility. You are not a braggart and speak in the real world. Down to earth so to speak. That's refreshing. I love your channel. Keep up the good work. Best!
I'm an Aussie with a 22 Gt and I love it. Trying to find good OEM pipes and a new tune. Love seeing you get out on these monsters. You make it look good.
Addition to my first comment, as owner of one, in Road mode from stop, lean forward and hang on tight, clamp thighs to tank, then womp onto fully open throttle, keep it open to redline through the gears, it is amazing what happens after 4,000 rpm. Next do the same in Sport mode. In both cases the traction control keeps the rear tire in its place and bikes vertical. No one truly knows an R3 until they experience this. I've been too chicken to turn off the traction control, or to tune this beast and unleash it any further. This bike is the personification of beast.
Honestly, your description of the artistry and details of the bike's styling in the Pros and Cons was an eye-opener. I saw the bike, but I hadn't really seen the bike, if you know what I mean. Well done.
Had this bike, as it is here, been around 20 years ago and my now ex had not been so concieous about the pennies, than that would of been sat in the garage (but only if it was snowing)...! Took one for a ride, wonderful machine. The most beautiful bike ever made. Just looking at the craftsmanship is remarkable. The issue I had, not too commute friendly bike. It needs more options, if needed for such. Solid panniers, options of windscreens, forward pegs kits for taller riders. Also, the display was too small for me.
Just traded in my HD Lowrider ST for a year old Rocket 3 GT, two pals have just done similar, awesome bit of kit and light years removed from my last bike.

Great video Kate. They've done a good job on making it look good, and it obviously scratches an itch that enough people have, given how long it's been in the range. having said that, even if the hilariously out-of-reach price wasn't an issue, I don't think I'd buy one. I know from long experience that a) I don't like heavy bikes, and b) I don't like bikes that make you constantly paranoid about opening the throttle 5 deg too far and losing your licence, both which you alluded to in your review. I've ridden mates' powerful bikes before now and the feeling of constantly shutting off and constantly using 1/4 of the throttle was more frustrating than exhillarating. Some of the most fun I've had is wringing the neck of some tiny little bike to get everything it's got, and I know others who say the same. Also, the fact that you've got to spec it to death on top of the asking price to carry any luggage is a downside for me: I like to use a bike as real-world transport, not just take it out for a blast on sunny Sundays. One thing I don't understand is why Triumph have never put that motor in a proper touring bike: surely it has the makings of a challenger to the Goldwings and the top spec BMW RT/LTs?
Hi kate, Rocket 🚀 is a good name, Beast would be another! But the bike is for rich people only and miles out of my price range, but then all new bikes are. You have a great job getting to ride these bikes 😊. As always excellent video kate. Take care, Best wishes Roy 👍.
It's better to see you on a bulky bike than teetering on one with a tall seat, if that isn't too patronising a comment. Teetering is bad, except when walking on ice. You're right about the narrow lanes. I once had to hurriedly jump onto a concrete milk stand outside a farm with a pal, pulling up my dobermann by his collar, as more than a dozen escaped bullocks thundered down the road from around the next bend. We all survived by the grace of - sheer luck.
Thanks Kate for the review and the fantastic ride in the English countryside. Very much enjoyed it with my morning coffee. If I win Powerball, I’ll buy you one…promise
Preposterous, get a 2nd hand Rocket 3 , for about 13 k with a few thousand miles on , on a pcp , few hundred a month, do it ! Love the passion in the descriptions of the riding experience, they certainly are a special and unique motorcycle, well done Triumph, don’t use mine enough, but can’t let go of it as it was hard work to be able to buy it .
I’ve been a fan of this bike for a long time. The new one is probably the best looking one. Wish it had a proper fairing on it for long haul highway comfort. Maybe there’s a aftermarket one available I don’t know about.

Excellent test, well presented🤩
Thank you! Cheers! :)
Stunning bike. I have never seen one in traffic. It's basically a VMax on steroids.
I hope Triumph makes a proportionally smaller and lighter (250 kg) rocket.
Oooh imagine!
Brilliant Review ,WHAT a Bike.
Great vlog Kate. Luv the Rocket 3 R particularly the Storm 👍
Ribble Valley - a lovely part of the world.
I want one, have every since I heard of it!
Absolutely stunning and the bikes not bad either
I just sucribed to your channel and I do not own a bike yet. I am here to learn. Nice video.
Thanks Kate. Great review.
Thanks so much Paul 🙏
Hi kate, Rocket 🚀 is a good name, Beast would be another! But the bike is for rich people only and miles out of my price range, but then all new bikes are. You have a great job getting to ride these bikes 😊. As always excellent video kate. Take care, Best wishes Roy 👍.
Rode the Storm GT today. What a missile. Loved it. Would probably have the R though. Where’s my piggy bank?
It's better to see you on a bulky bike than teetering on one with a tall seat, if that isn't too patronising a comment. Teetering is bad, except when walking on ice.
You're right about the narrow lanes. I once had to hurriedly jump onto a concrete milk stand outside a farm with a pal, pulling up my dobermann by his collar, as more than a dozen escaped bullocks thundered down the road from around the next bend. We all survived by the grace of - sheer luck.
Great review, as always. Kate and Missendon Flyer: best reviewers in the world.
Thanks Kate for the review and the fantastic ride in the English countryside. Very much enjoyed it with my morning coffee. If I win Powerball, I’ll buy you one…promise
I was very impressed with straight line stability of new 2500cc model at 152 mph ( bike indicated 161 mph) last week even on the loose salt.👍👍
Add a cylinder, install a normal looking exhaust system, fix the rear wheel assembly and you have a modernized Indian 4 cylinder.
I love it's cartoon looks and it sounds like a big petrol car.
sick just found ur channel! keep it coming lets goooo!
Great Review...
Awesome Bike...
I like the name Storm, but I think it could have been The Beast!
Blessings from Georgia USA 🪶✨
Preposterous, get a 2nd hand Rocket 3 , for about 13 k with a few thousand miles on , on a pcp , few hundred a month, do it ! Love the passion in the descriptions of the riding experience, they certainly are a special and unique motorcycle, well done Triumph, don’t use mine enough, but can’t let go of it as it was hard work to be able to buy it .
That's pretty cheap. Where I'm at, they're $21k new, or 17-18$ for a few years old bike with 10k miles.
Dreams are free but my 2016 CB1100EX is the exception. Would like to ride the big rocket though.
I felt in love with this bike!
I’ve been a fan of this bike for a long time. The new one is probably the best looking one. Wish it had a proper fairing on it for long haul highway comfort.
Maybe there’s a aftermarket one available I don’t know about.
