  • In the Six little preludes, performed by Benjamin Alard for All of Bach, we hear the everyday Bach. He must always have had a lot of smaller and simpler pieces scattered about at home, as a source of inspiration for all sorts of purposes. This set of six preludes is a case in point. It almost seems to be a preparation for the Wohltemperirte Clavier, with a prelude in C major and minor, D major and minor, and E major and minor.

Because time is racist and so are questions.
Bach was a black man. As was Beethoven.
This may not be true now, but as the ethnic Europeans are made minorities in Thier own historic Homelands History will be rewritten and there will be no mention of the white Christian European people.
No instead there will only be a thousand years of darkness and the human people will never be unyoked and the whole of humanity are worse than slaves .

Demographics are destiny and we must remind each other every time.
An African, or asian, man born in Denmark or any other country will never be a Dane or a European.
Did anyone here know that the un has laws on calling any country that they are a nation of immigrants?
It is the prequel to a massive Ethnic Cleansing.
If the Ethnic Europeans loose Europe our only home how will we be treated?
We will be raped and murdered at a higher rate than we are now.
The damages already done to the Ethnic makeup of the Continent are so sever that every single "Nation" as we know them today will be gone due to the fact that these people don't consider themselves European, they see themselves as the Frank's and Vandals saw themselves.
They see the opportunity of carving out a new land for Thier people.
God warned us not to lose our faith in him, or we would suffer the same fate as Israel.
We have to return to Christ and the Father or we will bare witnesses to the Lord's Divine retribution on all of our people!

There is so much Bach to discover, and I feel I’ve only barely scratched the surface. What a generous soul he was. I don’t understand how a human mind can put so much beauty and mathematical brilliance into paper. He was a true architect of holy spaces .

The entire compilation around 18 little preludes is priceless. Each prelude is a strong masterclass of composition and taste. Oftenly underrated, playing and analyzing this pieces, gives great tools to composers for new and fresh ideas and it's a perfect place for improvisation too. Bach was the master and still is.

Some existing historic reports of those who were lucky to witness Bach play in person say that "his fingers hardly seemed to move". The same we see here, Mr. Alard surely was well aware of the feature mentioned above when he learned to play :) utmost precision and economy of movement - so much that sometimes it seems that sound is desynced. But watching attentively shows that it's not. A good example of mastery shown on "simple" Bach's pieces intended for pupils.

This is the very thing that struck me. Perhaps it was the very involving camera work that forced it on my previously lazy inattentiveness, but it was a revelation to me. I caught myself checking eye against ear. So much, with so little (it seemed). Very, very satisfying.

Somehow he makes the bass in the D major prelude sound exactly like a bassoon!

Basically it make a softer sound. I don't know how this works, but you can hear the effect in the 2 gavottes in this performance: th-cam.com/video/2UxTsFXZsnQ/w-d-xo.html

@@francit.7636 Each keyboard controls a different set of strings. When coupled, both sets sound at the same time and the tone becomes richer and louder.
