- In this ambitious, tricky Partita No. 2 - recorded here for All of Bach with Mark Edwards - Bach proceeds as a lighting technician. By placing a spotlight here and a colour filter there, he keeps showing you a different scene. From the dark and weighty ouverture with the dotted-note, stately rhythms of the French overture, to the lightning-fast two-part fugue, that eventually comes back to the earlier dotted rhythm.

One of my favorite. The melody is so modern ... But I prefer it with a solid and swingy rhythm, like Michele Legrand in the 1st album of the Swingle Swingers. And this incredible bass line !

Period performance is not Glen Gould or Andras Schiff.
He is really great but chose too slow tempo later in the dances. The start is awesome
@LearnCompositionOnline , tbh, tempo is not everything. He plays it very expressive and shows his great technique of which many other keyboard players are just able of dreaming of, IMHO.
