The best part is that the heal ended up not mattering, the Smolensk whiffed his return shot and didn't get a single hit. He could have gone into that last fight with 1 health and still would've won.
Um… Actually Jingles, Worcester wasn’t a proposal, it was a built in steel and commissioned warship of the US Navy. Two of them actually, Worcester and Roanoke. *shotgun pumps* errr… jingles please… wait… I’ll be headed back to the salt mines then…
He knows he's talking about the US proposing the Worcester class to Argentine but while they could afford a new ship they couldn't afford to have the full manufacturing line being brought back on line as well since the USN's Worcesters had finished construction a year earlier and workers reassigned or laid off. Example the UK and other nations could afford to buy C-17's off the production line while it was running for the US but they couldn't afford to have the production line restarted after being shut down for a year.
2 minute mark “If there had been for example the Worcester class, which was proposed but never built” He’s pretty clearly being old and crap, not explaining that the argentines couldn’t afford it.
@@Ushio01 The US never actually proposed any such thing for Argentina, though. Argentina and Chile both engaged in an arms race in the late 19th century, which was brought to an end due to British mediation. oh, but we _can_ see what happens around 4min near Charlie, just not why: they were facing each other bow to bow in spitting distance, Napoli turned east Petro turned north into her flank initiating the ram.
it's funny to see the zoom-tapp-out evolve to something similar as looking at a wrist watch. actually, up close the GK and Preussen (same hull) can bow tank the Incomp, they both have massive, 60mm icebreakers, with a tiny bit of exception right at the cutwater, and the icebreakers take up probably 75-80% of the vertical area of the nose plating
Torps on the Meck might actually have cost Rogue a ton of HP, if San Martin had been able to proc the funny button again by shooting the big dumb BB some more, the triple fire could have been put out immediately and the heal brought off cool down sooner, ready for the rushing CL. It didn't matter given the Smolensk's end of game choices but I love this F key, it can be so powerful to keep this line of ships in the fight.
"We can't know for sure who decided to ram" he says as the minimap clearly displays the petropavlovsk run straight through the Napoli which turned broadside in a desperate attempt at escape
Although it can be fun, WoWs is getting increasingly silly with all the magic buttons that boost speed, reload, can see through islands, rapid fire your guns etc etc. It seems that the majority of ships introduced into the game over the last couple of years are gimmick ships with magic buttons enabling the silliest of things. What the San Martin did in this battle would almost seem like a cheat code in a lot of other games! The magic heal button gets another magic button that gives the magic heal button more magic to keep healing ! This isn't a naval game about ships! It's a fantasy game based on magic! It's not childish and silly at all ! ;-)
Exactly, as all GaaS Wows introduce new mechanics to keep the playerbase active. I understand that some of us don't like to constantly adapt, but WG cannot be blamed for doing what they are expected to do with the economical model they chose for the game.
Had a brilliant game of Ranked throws to send you Mr J - 2 battleships vs 4 ships and 1 vs 2 caps but some reason all my replays have stopped working in December 2023!
Every new version of the game doesn't play older version replays. So after every patch, your replays recorded prior to it, won't work. ( Google is your best friend. )
Jingles, while it is true that the Incomperables 20inch guns can over match 35mm of armor, that also means you tend to get THE MOST OVERPENS OF ANY "battleship" in the whole game! Bigger is not always better less your willing to use your HE shells every so often.
Gun caliber has no direct impact on overpenetrations. The gun caliber could be a kilometer with ten billion meters of penetration at 12 km and it wouldn't overpenetrate as long as it had something like Minotaur's fuse time and shell flight characteristics.
ummmm, actually Jingles, the Worcester Class did exist. The USS Worcester (CL-144) and the USS Roanoke (CL-145) were both commissioned in 1948 and served until 1958. I've actually seen what was the belt armor of the Worcester which is used as shielding for the particle accelerator at Fermi Lab in Batavia, IL. 😉
Is this not a supership? I stopped playing a couple years ago out of both burnout and disgust. (And out of disgust, I don't think I'll ever return if things don't get better.) But I see a gimmick charged up by shooting enemy ships, and last I checked, those were supership exclusive. Yet it's Tier 10, supposedly.
How do you throw that game so hard? Why would the Smolensk be that passive and just sit there when he knows where he is? I havent played this game in months and the reason hasn't changed, the player base is terrible man.
You lads remember when yamato scared people to death 😂 now days ur like oh just a yamato. Hell at the rate we are going i predict 25 inch guns will be in the game at one point
I think he would do better if he go out full broadside against enemy BBs that you know they will over pen you. San Martin is not a passive ship it is a yolo ship. As long as you shoot, it will refuse to die.

"We can't know for sure who decided to ram" he says as the minimap clearly displays the petropavlovsk run straight through the Napoli which turned broadside in a desperate attempt at escape
Jingles if the Prussen is bow in the Incomprable wouldn't need to overmatch teh athwartships bulkhead it would just need to penetrate it...
Anyone else have jingles as a nice part lf fheir morning routine? Shits awesome
Uh...Jingles, Worcester Class was built
A citadelle? on a smolensk! Impossible!!
Of course it's possible, if you take short-fuse BBs like UK or cruisers.
that was a fucking incredible game
Clear "Game of Throws" here lmao
This would quite easily have been a game of throws
You keep forgetting the Preussen has a heavy ice breaker that covers 99% of the bow, his mistake was angling at all in close.
It's not childish and silly at all !
;-)
World of Warships has always been an super arcade;y game with almost no focus on the ships
Exactly, as all GaaS Wows introduce new mechanics to keep the playerbase active. I understand that some of us don't like to constantly adapt, but WG cannot be blamed for doing what they are expected to do with the economical model they chose for the game.
The Smolensk choose the 3rd of 2 bad options.
Figures, WG would introduce a ship that argentina wanted, so they could have dual purpose guns, then they don't give the ammo for duel purpose...
No one expects the Argentinian Inquisition!
That's why I use RPF on my cruisers and DDs..
No spoilers 😁
Great match!
Spectacular!
thumbs up for the dad joke if nothing else.
( Google is your best friend. )
That was an epic throw
"dual purpose" unlike the guns that only shoots AP lol
Stay safe mate.
🇨🇦 Vet(8 months older) 😉
Jingles, while it is true that the Incomperables 20inch guns can over match 35mm of armor, that also means you tend to get THE MOST OVERPENS OF ANY "battleship" in the whole game! Bigger is not always better less your willing to use your HE shells every so often.
amen to that, Jingles also overlooked that most of the Preussen's bow is armoured much more heavily that the incomparable can overmatch
@@Mithril_Antimarr Yeah its like... 50 or 75mm Ice Braker Plating.
Gun caliber has no direct impact on overpenetrations. The gun caliber could be a kilometer with ten billion meters of penetration at 12 km and it wouldn't overpenetrate as long as it had something like Minotaur's fuse time and shell flight characteristics.
Wow! Just wow!
ummmm, actually Jingles, the Worcester Class did exist. The USS Worcester (CL-144) and the USS Roanoke (CL-145) were both commissioned in 1948 and served until 1958. I've actually seen what was the belt armor of the Worcester which is used as shielding for the particle accelerator at Fermi Lab in Batavia, IL. 😉
Now you see me, now you don't! lol
Jingles!
You should take liberties and give names to the islands you care about. Then just use the new proper for name for the island
Dave, Dave, Dave and Dave.
Morning Jingles!
what the hell was that smolensk doing just lying broadside open in the middle of the cap? like... c'mon!
Why does he have to zoom in and out so much omg
How do you throw that game so hard? Why would the Smolensk be that passive and just sit there when he knows where he is?
I havent played this game in months and the reason hasn't changed, the player base is terrible man.
Great game
You lads remember when yamato scared people to death 😂 now days ur like oh just a yamato. Hell at the rate we are going i predict 25 inch guns will be in the game at one point
I think he would do better if he go out full broadside against enemy BBs that you know they will over pen you. San Martin is not a passive ship it is a yolo ship. As long as you shoot, it will refuse to die.
Oh my christ what wasthat smolensk
Wow. Just wow.
Fantastique!!!!
