What a good morning surprise this was 🥳 Few notes on the whole KotS talk, Old Man is not wrong when he said Odem Mortis, because OMNI was Odem Mortis International, while OM was german. First KotS was actually called Winter King Tournament (now regarded to as the pilot season) and first few KotS were played in tier 8, so Benson was my choice. Then later Gearing like Old Man mentioned, when it moved to tier 10. This battle was one of the closest, if the THE closest games I ever played, whole stream was on the edge of their seats as we were counting seconds, GGs ;)
It was infuriating for me watching that! I love how it worked out in the end though, real roller coaster of emotions lol. Thinking to my self though, had he gone to F2, the initial BB train heading that way would have diverted and ran into Flambass’s convoy.
You can almost argue that the carrier helped them win the match. If he hadn’t been where he was, the last two enemy BBs might have stuck around the center of the map, preventing capping and probably killing the last three team members. In a sense, the CVs death almost guaranteed them the win. Almost.
@@hometownmedic7355 what about the idea of the Torpedo Magnet as an actual ability, where torpedoes are drawn in to the ship, but it has very high torpedo protection. Maybe not regular gameplay, but maybe some special event like halloween
It’s amazing what can happen when just a handful of players on a team know wtf they’re doing & know how to teamwork. It’s certainly of little use how good someone is if no one listens to each other. Major props to not only Flambass, but the Scharnhorst, Giuseppe, & the Agir as well. Glory seekers rarely win close games.
The friendly Yuugumo, ffaerian, encouraging the team to listen to Flambass and seconding his calls, making sure everyone knew he was worth listening to. Didn't work on the carrier, but probably helped otherwise.
I was playing a game last night where one of the people on my team did the "No cap kill all!" thing, and I promptly pointed my cruiser into the enemy cap and stayed there, my rationale being "I am NOT appearing on a Game of Throws". We probably would have won on points, but the three ships they had left were a carrier, a destroyer, and a sub, so I wasn't willing to take any chances.
@@keith6706 One of my first ever PvP matches was in a V-25, I won as the last team member alive because the enemy chose to either hunt me down or sail across the map to my team's cap, WHILE I WAS CAPPING THEIR BASE, on about 50 HP.
I think I missed something. This is Kings of the Sea, everyone involved knew what they were doing when compared to the entire player base, right? No, he should change that. It was painful to listen how he butchered the name of the great Italian composer. I couldn't care less if Jingles gets wrong the class of a ship, but I think Verdi deserves a little more respect.

Giulio Cesare, Montecuccoli, Giuseppe Verdi... I'm not expecting him to speak flawless Italian, but you know... go on TH-cam and find those how to pronounce things videos. He might just sound a little less ignorant.
Jingles, I am glad you brought up the name of a player who used to be my DD player hero and idol back then, but surprisingly it was rngsama and not flambolino.

Flambass must be kicking himself for that death. He easily coulda just turned, been safely out of where he knew the line of fire was, and was far enough to not be spotted. He musta been so mad at himself.
I watched this game, and was kind of furious of the team-mate who, announced Flambinos presence. For the enemy team it's always good to know whos good and not, so he could be zoned out. Wonder if that's why the torps were heading for his smoke, and not the BB in the middle? It could've deicided the game. Also... typical CV-main. HMS Agincourt does a low speed driveby of a Torpedeo dispensing smoke screen. If only because HMS Agincourt's two choices against a DD is Drive at them slowly or Drive away slowly.
See that is what get's people in trouble, the Indie has 10km, the duration is shorter but it catches a lot of people off guard. It's armor and maneuverability isn't too horrible, it's guns are decent but it's real issue is that it has that shell catcher superstructure.

It's funny how everybody was shooting at Soyuz, fighting for the kill, when it was obvious Kitakaze can kill it. Meanwhile nobody was shooting at Tirpitz.
Great commentary as always on a great battle. Just one note: the “giu” in Giuseppe is pronounced “joo” or “jew” just like the “gio” in Giovanni or giorno, gi+(a,o,u) changes the hard “g” into a “j” sound like in Janet, Joe, June.

you might be right that carriers should self sacrifice for the team ... XD
It was stupid, but it worked... so he was stupid, but he got lucky!
True, but if the carrier properly ran away and stayed alive it could just focus the DD or any other ship it wanted because it's a carrier.
