Hey Celine! How have been? Are you settling in and enjoying your new home in Calgary? Sorry I fell behind a little on your vlogs but you know I always catch up. I enjoy your content every time you post something new. You've actually enhanced my life. You were the final deciding factor of me creating my audio podcast. You see I kept trying to force video when it's not me. Ideas for audio come to me much more abundantly. I found my passion and and now I can build my gallery of sound. I'm a sonic painter. So thank you Celine. Even though there are forces beyond us that brought us here on this path to meet at this specific time. I know it sounds very philosophical but to make it simple I think we all need someone kind in our lives that sees us. It makes a world of difference. Such a informative video! It's wonderful that you're giving back useful tips to your audience about vlogging. We know you're qualified to give us these gems because we watch you. What you're teaching works well for you and the proof is your content. Here are the three things that captured me about your channel. 1.) You video titled on the thumbnail called Being a loner. You spoke about finding happiness growing up without friends. I didn't grow up that way but that's the season thst i'm in now. It spoke to me. 2. Right after that I watched a video about you visiting home to Vancouver. It was such a calming and zen vlog. You're an excellent visual storyteller. I watched from beginning to end with my attention completely focused. Subscribed. 3.) Last but not least. You. Your personality. Your engagement. As content creators grow in subscribers they can't reply back to every comment. I get that. It's not about just hitting the love button and giving the generic " Thanks! or Thank you!. From the beginning you've taken take your time to go above and beyond in your reply to me. It's rare. Why? People just don't have the time. Maybe they just don't make the time. You make the time and I feel appreciated. Congratulations on all the new sponsors, your new home and contiiniued success to you See you soon. Walter
hey Walter! 🙏 wow. thank you so much for this message. it never fails to amaze me that this content can reach and impact people around the world like yourself in so many ways. it's been so cool to get updates on your own podcast journey and love to hear that you're discovering your own passions! the video about being a loner was one of the most vulnerable moments I've shared and it means a lot to know it resonated with so many people. also, I am continuing to work on visual storytelling so that is very kind of you to mention that. Calgary has been great, and I appreciate your support during this move 💜 really appreciate your kind words and for being such a supportive viewer!
I loved this! Your tips are always so helpful!! I totally agree that vlogging is a great way to get started! Really has helped me figure out how to story tell better and get used to filming yourself etc. 😊also I am with you on getting more footage vs underfilming haha I feel like I have had so many moments of wishing I had certain footage of x or more footage haha
same!! I’ve learned so much from simply documenting things in vlogs - and they’re fun to watch 🥹 extra footage can be a pain to sort through, but better than not having enough!
I appreciate this so much as I’m very new and only have 5 subscribers. I feel silly talking to my camera, but I want to be able to feel like I’m talking to a friend! These tips were so helpful ❤
Such great tips and glad you touched base on retention style editing not being as important today. I also kinda forced myself into that style of editing when I started even though it didn't necessarily feel right for my style. And while I think there's a place for those edits when it makes sense, I'm glad I also stopped using them just because I thought I should be.. Saves time and my videos feel more like me.
thanks Mikee 🫶 my quality of life has improved drastically since I stopped/reduced retention style editing hahaha it can definitely be done well, but sometimes is truly not necessary!
Hi Celine! these are such great tips, I like recording little clips of my life kind of like a visual diary pov style and I love what you said about better having a little extra footage than not. I need to remember that! my problem is probably not having enough lol ❤ have a good one!!
Love ALL these tips, Celine!! Hopefully one day I’ll have enough courage to publish my vlogs 😅 - Also, CONGRATS on all the brand partnerships/sponsorships!! 🎉🎉
💗 I'm glad you found the tips helpful and remember: you've got this!! everyone starts off somewhere and the hardest step is hitting publish. thanks for the congratulations 🥹
Thank you, Celine! That was very helpful! Personally I think that having a mix of searchable, informational videos and vlogs is where it's at for me - as a creator and also a viewer 😊 Lots of love, from another Celine 😁
honestly your tips are always so comforting and the best ones 🥺🫶🏻 you feel like a big sister to me haha 🤍 thank you for always sharing and trying to help other creators that look up to you ✨✨
Great video Celine and very useful tips for a new/hopeful TH-camr. Your delivery is calm, easy to watch and always interesting. Hope you and your partner are settling into your new home in Calgary.
Thanks for sharing the tips and process Celine its so cool to see the bts. I love the clip of Bean on the hike 😂 ot, do you think you can do a video on how you do your nails, they always look so nice xx
Thanks Celine on the tips! Listening to them actually help - I get nervous being out in the public recording and talking to the camera 😆 But also those tips on gathering more footage than under-filming, and not to film every single thing especially if not related to the topic of vid. I look forward to giving vlogging a try!😄
All amazing tips and thank you for your advice, fantastic job and great stress less tips for vlogs, for example the no need to record all and everything and no need to zoom in unless its for makeup tutorials and other art forms as well. Great tips. ✌️
Is it a bad thing to have pre recorded videos already and still be able to upload them when you're ready to get back on TH-cam because I took a four year break and was wondering if it is any issue uploading very old videos especially pre recorded ones. I hope my question makes sense
Personally I don’t see it as a bad thing! the only consideration is whether the topic or things mentioned would still be relevant, but even then, I say go for it :)
