Another awesome moving vlog Celine and I am glad it's not me going through moving into a new home. Hopefully the situation with your dog is ok once he has been to the vet. Love 🥰 the vlog and love 💕 Celine.
Enjoyed the cozy unpacking vlog and hope Mr Bean is feeling much better! So exciting to have family visit and don’t feel bad Celine, our second guest room / office still has boxes .. 3 months later 😅✨
Aw poor bean 😢 my two frenchies both reverse sneeze 🤧 and the first time it happened I absolutely sh*t myself 😢 I find rubbing their neck and speaking calmly to them helps quite a lot. I know some people also cover the nostrils so they have to open their mouth to breathe (sounds petrifying) but I’m sure it must be safe. Hope your all doing well and loving the latest vlog ❤ cannot wait for the next already! Happy Tuesday from Liverpool UK 🎉
thanks Mark 💜 we never saw the reserve sneezing before, so it was alarming but thankfully he’s okay. thanks so much for those tips I’ll keep it in mind if that happens again 🫶 have a great rest of your week!
I am by no means a minimalist or an essentialist, but I moved quite a lot when I was younger, and that feeling of packing and unpacking and lugging around way too much stuff was so annoying. You really have to consider what’s a necessity and what’s not..
Long time no see, I'm so happy to see you again. Your apartment is very comfortable and The place where you live is awesome. I'm enjoying your video, as always. Thanks.
Welcome to your new home here in Calgary, I'm an immediate sub now, I know what you have gone through to move across the country and it's not an easy move, but we get used to Calgary it grows on you over the years, it's home and I would never go back to Ontario but I miss it there during the summers, I wish we had more trees and water we have the bow River and that's it, it's a culture shock as well, Calgary doesn't have much for a night life being honest and can't wait to see you in your journeys and welcome home to cow town. Peace, love and light your way who have done the long journey and Calgary has a hard housing market you did an amazing job of vlogs ✌️ 💛 🕯️
New to u. Hi Tiff here. Hubby from ontario too. Were right close in Red Deer! So much nature, fishing, animals, hikes, museums, camping, mountains and falls here. Hope u love it!
Every time I watch your vlogs I feel like we are the same person and that's so fun to see LOL also I remembered that you're a Mai Pham fan and that you're in Calgary now, so when I saw that there was an Alchemai pop up shop in Calgary, I instantly thought omg Maybe Celine could meet her and I got so excited for you
ahhh omg that's so sweet 🥹🫶 I definitely considered going to the pop up, but I could only imagine how hectic it would've been so decided to skip this one 😩 long lines give me a lil anxiety ahahah but thanks girl, maybe one day!
I’m considering moving to Calgary, and I’d love your opinions on cost of living here vs. Toronto in your experience! I’m curious of your rent and what area you’ve moved to!
Winter in Calgary is not too bad compared to Toronto..dry winters here…Toronto was freezing when I was visiting in December..the water makes a huge difference
Hey! Re Calgary winter....I loved it for the one winter I was there. Always sunny and calm. Just really cold, but you can dress for that. Re changing licenses between provinces....yeah, Canada is nuts for this. In the last 10 years I moved between NZ, UK and Canada four times, and changing licenses is a real pain in the butt. It's like a mini death when they make me cut up my license....again! :)
the sunshine definitely helps! I agree, having appropriate clothing will be my priority next winter. cutting up a license does feel like a mini heartbreak every time with being sentimental too 🥹
@Celinelikedion Hey Celine🤗 I really loved this down to earth vlog on the realities of moving into a new home. I really felt your concern for Bean and I am so relieved to hear that he is okay😇. I also felt your exhaustion😔. It would have been so wonderful to have your family stay over...all worth it in the end😊. I also hate unpacking and I really have to force myself to do it. How awesome that you are now getting into running which is also what I do daily for an hour. 🤗 I really can't wait to see your videos on Banff and that icecream looked so yummy. 🤩 Cheers Lara🐨🦘
hi Lara!! 🫶 honestly moving can be such a roller coaster of emotions, chores, all the things 😅 we're very glad Bean is okay too, seemed to be his way of acclimating to Calgary. family time was very nice, indeed - made the unpacking worth it! haha I'm definitely a beginner runner still, but look forward to sharing more and getting some tips from you guys! 🥹 until next time, take care 🐨
@@HairTechniques1 that’s good to know! thanks so much for the tip 🫶 he’s been good lately but now that I know it’s common for these type of breeds, we’ll just keep a close eye on it
I've recently done a long distance move to Calgary as well! Unpacking is SUCH a process I didn't realize would take so long and exhaust me so much. I'm glad Bean is okay!
It's coming along and looking good Celine! It looks so bright and hopeful in your space. Continued congratulations on your new chapter. I love that Back to the future shirt and I like the poetic note you ended on. Ok, I'm going across the street to your newest vlog because I'm a little behind. See you in a minute. P o p.
Having been through 18 winters in Calgary. I'd say it's not as bad as people say because the air is still relatively dry in wintertime so even -20'C is tolerable if you the right gears. 🤗 Of course there are days of snow events and -35'C cold snaps. But the city does a decent job with snow clearing in the urban areas. And being the sunniest city in Canada helps 😁 Anyways looking forward to your adventures in Alberta !!!
i would 100% also get roasted by caleb hammer lol and girl i'm also terrible at unpacking! i have a suitcase still in my room from a trip i took in early june 💀
Ooohhhh, omg... reverse sneezing - a classic pug trademark 🫠 I remember when my VERY first pug, Jonas, first started doing this - rushed to the emergency vet and spent a couple thousand dollars on oxygen therapy, because it was so incredibly scary, which was COMPLETELY unnecessary lol. I wish someone had told me! About 4783294738927589327589327893275 pugs later (my own, through running a pug rescue, and my clients haha) I realized it's so so so incredibly common. What I do now is hold my thumb gently over their nostrils so that they are guided to take a moment/pause, and eventually take a deep breath in through their mouth. Sometimes I have to do it a few times, but it always passes. If it's chronic, or concerning how often it actually does happen, it could be related to an elongated soft palette, which is also a common pug/brachycephalic thing! I hope you've had a good experience looking for and finding a vet here in Calgary! That was the most STRESSFULL part for us when we relocated to the West Koots, but there are farrrr less resources out there, so it's a bit different. Moving away from your regular vet is always tough! 💙🐾
it was a scary first encounter! lessons learned and we'll be better educated next time. thank you for the tips! it was a relief to hear from this community that it's more common than I realized 🥲 there seem to be some great vet options thankfully 🙏 the joys of relocating nonetheless! thanks again for the thoughtful advice 💗
