Currently leveling a warrior with the intent to tank so agree with them being in demand. Dont agree with telling people to level at prot though. You can tank as any spec while leveling. Doing stuff solo as prot outside of dungeons is just painful. Even at end game back on classic i didnt go deep prot while raiding as the lower half of the tree isnt really worth it as slow to much threat generating abilities.
I would even say that a levling prot pre 50 is a worse tank than arms. Like how is a prot tank gonna keep threat from a arms warrior cleaving/whirlwind/sweeping strikes with ww axe ?? Ain’t gonna happen
Can you make another video like this that goes more into playstyles, pros and cons and best class/race combos? Maybe even which professions pair best with which class?
No mention of how these classes play, just how many people play them and how you should adapt your gameplay to that. This is the kind of mentality that makes games boring.
tbh, as a wow veteran, this is the condensed info I kinda wanna know at the moment I log in the first time. In any other scenario I guess there's not much to gain if you aren't deeply familiar with the game and classes.
@@DD-px5mj what a dumb take, being a wow veteran translates to automatically being a turtle wow veteran; knowledgeable in all that goes on in turtle wow, a game ran by completely different people?
If you know how to play, prob undead or dwarf rogue. Especially on a fresh server in phase 1, no mana to worry about. Sub Rogue has 2x cooldowns and Vanish is the best open-world PVP ability overall. You don't need gear to be able to 100%-0% in 1v1. Do a quest that gives you a no-fall damage cloak. Very good daggers in the new level 60 dungeon.
Hello, I am new to turtle wow. I have a limited time to play and I am not that super good at computer games, but I would still like to be able to test a little raiding. So I am looking for something that is easy to play, has some special role that is needed in raids, and preferably less populat on the server to avoid competition for raid spots. What would you recomend? Also, what fraction is most friendly on this server? Would like to find a friendly guild on either side, as I would prefer to pla some duegons with guildies while leveling up.
@@johnnywick1110 I am playing, but it is not going fast. Doing dungeons with guildies (of the correct level) would be fun. As I do not have a guild or know people on the server what is left is solo questing and grinding mobs. It does get old after a while, especially when it is so many players that I need to run around and chase after respawns. Tried to make things more fun by spending time on professions, but with the amount of players there are not that easy tfind minerales or herbs, while buying on AH is out of the question when your main is level 20. A question: Is it more "overpopulated" areas in the first 20-30 levels because of the hardcore players who level, die and then restart, or is it the same the whole way?
I'm playing ret just because it's my favourite class in classic wow, second would be feral (yeah the most worst classes to play in original classic). But hey, the good part is that there's lots of class changes like new talents and abilities (like pally gets 2 additional attack spells, and seal of crusader is reworked, so that judgement of that seal gives a higher chance to proc the chance on hit effect on your weapon. This is the part where I say that if you have ravager from Herod, you can literally spam bladestorm effect). So my thoughts on class choice is simple, check the class changes, check the new talent trees and pick the class you wanna try. And leveling in open world is easy even when there's high online, because mobs are spawning fast enough + if you pick warmode, you get more xp from all sources.
I made a high elf paladin last night. Super hyped to play it. I played warrior when classic came out. I mained pally on retail for year 😅 excited about the change up lol
@Shane Cole well, as I mentioned in my previous comment, pally has many interesting & good changes. Ret is not a auto attack class anymore, and prot is a good tank 😁 just holy is almost the same. So have fun there! :)
0 information... all you said what was everyone knew from a 15+ year old game. Doesn't tell me anything why classes are different in turtle vs classic.
Yeah I don't understand it, and Paladin is in no way the most played class. I run the census add on every time I log on, and Warrior is the most played and BY FAR, roughly 20 percent of players are Warriors. The 2nd most played goes back and forth between Mage and Paladin, but if we look at just those at max level, its 1.Warrior 2. Mage 3.Paladin. He is correct about Warlocks though, they are the least played by a large margin. Sometimes Census picks up more Shamans than Warlocks, which is crazy considering only Horde can play Shaman and Warlocks are both faction. This video felt more like what this guy WANTS people to play.
@@FRBAPartially correct. Paladins can only be played by alliance, so while it is true for the entire server that paladins are the 3rd played class (on my census at the time of writing the 2nd most played), they are on alliance side BY FAR the most played class. For the rest the classes are about as popular as on any other server, no major popularity changes.
only a pvp server gives real immersion in the game, if you don't just want to spam dungeons, you enjoy world pvp, occasional pvp, adventures, meeting enemies in SV, fighting for territories, feel the progression of character development, you have to choose a pvp server. I have several characters on a pve server, and the pleasure of playing on telabim is incomparably greater. the pve server is boring, soulless, shallow, and all you can do is spam dungeons, which doesn't really translate into anything, because you don't feel your character's progression, because you just stand in the city and go to dungeons. the whole world is alive on the pvp server, and hc player's caravans are simply world champions!! only telabim.

Love to see more turtle wow content. However, this is still *mostly* vanilla with massive class and spec imbalance. An optimal raid may have a single druid and 20 warriors. You can't look at class population and predict demand for class/specs from it. And even if you're going to tank while leveling (which is challenging to find enough groups to solely instance level) don't level as prot.
I started playing Turtle WoW yesterday. I rolled a High Elf Priest. Bad choice! I have never played a character as weak as this priest. Trying to level up in Elwynn Forest is painful, very painful. Be ready to die again and again. Also, mining in Elwynn Forest seems to have been nerfed. Very few copper nodes. I am level 8 and so far I have collected 9 copper ore.
I'm currently leveling a priest and I found it easier than my paladin. On my priest, i can actually attack while my shield is up, which is huge. Pop a shield, spam wand auto attacks, and repeat
