    YOUR VIDEO STOPPED ABRUPTLY WHILE YOU WERE CHECKING IT OUT. HOW COME YOU DID NOT DISCUSS THE NUMBER OF RCA CONNECTORS. DID YOU NOT HAVE TO USE THEM SOMEHOW?? I HAVE A 2011 OVERLAND THAT HAS THE SAME RADIO AND CONNECTORS IN YOUR DASH. I HAVE ALREADY RETURNED 2 UNITS BECAUSE I CANNOT GET A SATISFACTORY ANSWER ON THE USE OF THE RCA CONNECTORS. YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE AS YOURS IS THE FIRST VIDEO THAT ALMOST ANSWERED MY CONCERNS

      I did not have to use all of them, they would be for rear seat video monitors which I didn't have.

    So I bought similar android radio and everything is fine. Steering wheel is working, blind spot is working but... I dont like quality of the sound. The old unit played much better.
    I was trying to set can-bus adapter but no, no luck.
    How is yours? Are you happy?

      I have to say, I haven't found a great Stereo App that will allow me to set my tone the way I would like it to sound, but generally speaking, it sounds almost as good as it did with the stock unit. I changed the unit out because it did not have GPS built in and I wanted that. Because the stereo's are linked to your computer it made it illogical to buy a gps unit from another Jeep and I would have also run into the out dated maps from stock units. In my preious Grand Cherokee, I replaced all the infinity speakers with Pioneer connected straight to the system with no real change in sound either. I'm not a professional installer and buying a Not technically Cheap Chinese Radio was supposed to be my cheaper way of getting all I wanted in the unit for cheaper than Crutchfield, but the solid state of the unit is still a question mark. Because it is an android it does give you the ability to download a variety of Apps that might work better for equalization, but it's not been a solid solution, as many times I find myself trying to find the settings and then adjusting. An odd problem I've run into was my music database seemingly doesn't almost work with the head unit. I've had to go in and re-encode my music files with Audacity to get them to play at normal speeds. Various tracks would play at super slow speed for no reason. re-encoding solves the problem.

      I just watched the video again, to help remind myself about speaker wires. It appears as if I did not have anything special to do for the speakers. The Main adapter was plug and play for me. I don't recall and feel like I didn't have to do anything special because I didn't mention it, in my video. However, admittedly, I did have a problem with the osdm module code for the bluetooth but worked it out with a generic code I found from the internet. Like 1234 but I can't remember.@@zakariamaliashvili6766 The Steering whell adapter worked plug and play for me.

    Did you have to do anything with the Key 1 and Key 2 wires to get the steering wheel controls to work?

    • @michaelbreeden943
      @michaelbreeden943  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At this point I don't remember much about the install. However as I recall the biggest problem I had was the screws not fitting for facia, the adapters for the USB ports were missing and the programming for the odb was confusing at first. I believe steering wheel install went fine. On my 96 jeep I could never get it to work and went through tech support and multiple methods. I believe the box for the steering control on that one would have been bad.
