Students at Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, TX invited us to their dude. be nice event where they surprised and celebrated their School Resource Officer and two amazing students - we caught it all on camera! The student council planned this event and it brought everyone in the building to tears. More of this, please!
*These girls have a lesson for every student.* Not only to be cool to everyone, but realize that, in harmless, casual conversations, people discuss you and your character. Look how these girls' friendly attitudes made them stand-outs for the entire school - the same thing happens in the world of work... never forget that lesson.
In a world where everyone seems to be tearing each other down, this is such a positive thing and we need this in society. I love seeing you kids taking such a positive role in society and in your school. Much love to you.

It's really awesome to see young people recognize, appreciate, and celebrate the contribution of Officer Watkins. I spent my first 14 years in a very frightening home. I was small, skinny and scared of everyone and everything and often bullied. At 14, two police officers showed up. They were the FIRST adults in my life that stood up for us. I had no idea what it felt like to have someone stick up for me, let alone Police Officers. It was as if God Himself was in the room!! They have easily earned my respect! We were able to "hear" the Pulse of True Life through the eyes of Watkins and the girls'. THAT is real meaning of mankind right there. Officer Watkins unleashes many reasons for people around the world to believe that a better future can start today. I am a therapist and I hope as many people as possible can watch this video. the 2 students must have AWESOME parents & the cop is just a sweetheart. ive met more like him. one recently changed my flat tire when i was stuck on a highway at night. i knew how to change a tire (our dad taught all his kids including his daughter (favorite one! hi dad! lol) but i couldnt get a lug nut loose. i was out of state, it was late, the road was empty & AAA was taking so long...i was getting scared. seeing a cop car pulling over was such a relief & changing the tire?!..he didnt have to do that.

Good job to this guy! My two older kids had an officer in the school and they where friends with all the kids, even noticed kids that were struggling and helped them. All schools should someone in house…..Hire a veteran

I first heard about you guys for the first time in my freshman year high school assembly 6 years ago and to be honest, the slogan of “Dude, be nice” was a bit of a meme. Nonetheless, it made you guys memorable and 6 years later, I really admire the kindness you guys promote and I’m glad there’s people like you guys out there making people happy in all occupations. I was wondering, since the pandemic, healthcare and frontline grocery workers have been under fire and overworked, do you guys plan on doing assemblies and such for people in healthcare and grocery employees? I feel like those guys are the reason we’re still going after the pandemic and I feel like they deserve a bit of love too! Again, thank you guys for all you do, I hope you guys never stop spreading this happiness and that you guys reach all your goals! ❤️❤️
