'American Idol' winner Iam Tongi interrupts school assembly to surprise teacher for Feel Good Friday

Season 21 "American Idol" winner Iam Tongi was in town this week and we asked him if he'd help us surprise an incredible teacher at Sugar-Salem Junior High School. Here's what we were told about Jenni Warner, the orchestra teacher:
Jenni Warner has a passion for music. She started playing violin when she was 3. Both her mom and grandmother were accomplished violinists and her grandfather taught music in Twin Falls for many years. Jenni has taught private music lessons for over 25 years and has taught in schools for the last 4 years. She loves going to work every day because she loves sharing her passion with the students that she has also come to love. She puts in so many hours before and after school so that she can provide the best experience possible for her students. She gets so excited when she sees students succeed and learn to appreciate music. Her energy and enthusiasm for life are infectious and the students of Sugar-Salem are so lucky to have her!

I just loved the humility of the teacher and Mr. Tongi. He has such a beautiful voice. And as for the teachers who teach the textbooks and not some crazy agenda, we salute you all.

I've got to say that growing up in TX I never knew much about Idaho except their potatoes. From watching EIN for the past 4 years thanks to secret santa, it's absolutely a place I would love to visit and potentially live if it weren't for your winters.😂 Too cold for this Texan, but your hearts are so big and it obviously helps to keep y'all warm all winter long. We love watching Nate and the team celebrate the everyday heroes, helping out those in need and spreading the true meaning of Christmas. Thank you for all that you do, EIN, Nate, Santa and Idahoans (?). Merry Christmas 🎄

Was just thinking about Iam’s Idol audition this week! So lovely to see he is out there not only still making music but getting involved in bringing people joy this way
Iam is a true gem.. he has a special place in my heart that's for sure. What a wonderful thing to do... Also, the young student who helped do this for her teacher is any parents wish. This was so so special. I have granddaughters all teens and so my upbringing was much like this here. I'm glad to know it still exists!!!! This is what COMMUNITY do for each other :)

Iam is such a wonderful kind man. I'm certain his faher is looking down proud of him. I love hearing Iam sing and listen to his music often. So wonderful of him to agree to sing for the school. These children will never forget this.
