Hi everyone! I love talking about budgeting and saving for luxury so hope you enjoyed this video and found some points helpful! Please share any money tips you have as well so we can learn from each other :) Have an amazing day/night xx
I really love these types of videos, since money doesn't grow on trees 😂. Thank you for the tip on earning passive income, whether through stocks, side business/hobby, etc...every little bit counts since luxury items are so pricey! Cheers 😘
Old video I wanted to revisit. Yes, set aside your 30% for what you love. Still, thatb1000 spent on coffee will go a long way towards investment over time. Keurig and others do amazing at home coffee options.
I’ve watched a lot of these videos, and I have to say this is one of the best! I’ve started taking my budgeting seriously the last couple of months and it’s so exciting seeing it build up.
Jen T yes! I agree. Why deprive yourself of something you love doing at such a low cost? Whilst also supporting local businesses? Buy coffees! Everyone! Lol
Christina Polimos I’d rather purchase a nice coffee machine, like Nepresso to splurge on coffee at home. You still save money in the long run without compromising a cup of nice coffee.
Gathering as many tips on this as possible. I love more than one high end luxury video mentions budgeting and not spending money on the high end clothes all that much if at all. Second income of some kind is SO helpful for sure as well :) Thanks and have a great day!
I have been loving your videos recently and I know your channel will keep growing. You present yourself and your content so beautifully. You are becoming one of my favourite youtubers. Love and much success to you Isabelle. 💕
I recently changed jobs for my own sanity as a school administrator. I literally took a small paycur but am much happier professionally with a shorter commute and much less stress. I haven’t a clue how to increase my income.
Babe! You are so brave for making the change! Sometimes sanity is much more important than anything else! I recommend checking out Canna's channel (channel name is "Sugar Mamma"), she has so many ideas and great practical tips on increasing your income without increasing your salary! Xx
Hi Isabelle, thank you for sharing this advice. As your new subs, I thought you have always honest and humble. Unlike some other youtubers who may be more privileged to make purchase after purchase, their videos of giving advice sound contradicting as their lifestyle doesnt show that. You, however, seem to have good head on your shoulders and justify your purchases.
Wow, brilliant tips and beautiful advice. Love your vids. It's always filled with wonderful ideas, great suggestions and practical tips. Thank you so much lovely.
I used the very same budget book last year or earlier this year. About the coffee a day thing, I make my own 95% of the time. I didn't invest in an expensive coffee machine either. The one I have I found at a car boot sale. I believe it's Stainless Steel. I'm not sure what the name of it is, but it makes espresso on the stove top. I love the ideas of investing in education and passive income. 💡 💡 You are brilliant!
Hi Isabelle! Fellow Aussie here. Awesome video. Fantastic tips and practical advice! The barefoot investor (also a fellow Aussie) also says it’s stupid to stress over a $4 coffee 😊 xx
Hi hun! So nice to have a fellow Aussie and to know that the professional investor reassured my coffee habit is ok :) Thanks so much for watching hun! Xx
@@IsabellesStyle Oh Hi! Thanks so much for responding! I didn't think you would have time between your full time job and this ever growing channel (Congratulations by the way, it's really taking off, which is a testament to the interesting and quality content). I really admire people who work full time (professional or stay at home), and full on jobs and still make time to create content on TH-cam Xxx
When my husband and I started dating and we would go out to eat, he would order like 3 different appetizers and a full meal and most of the food wouldn’t get eaten and if we brought home leftovers they would get forgotten. I was raised to not waste food! With in our first month of dating We started splitting every meal, 1 appetizer and if there was room for dessert we split that too! We enjoy the same type of foods and our taste buds and tummies are satisfied. Growing up my mom would say “eat till your half full” . I can honestly say eating a whole bunch of scrumptious food and enjoying it in the moment is no fun when you’re in pain afterwards because your tummy feels like it’s going to explode. Moderations can be so difficult when your drooling over something like ice cream nachos from Buffalo Wild Wings…. Heck I dream about eating those! They have these deep fried cheesecake bites mixed in with cinnamon sugared tortilla chips, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and Carmel sauce drizzled all over with whip cream and topped with maschiano cherries 🍒 To buy all the stuff to make ice cream nachos you could feed a crowd so I save that for fun get togethers. Its just my husband and I so it’s a real treat when we go out for just dessert 🍨 😋 Personally, I don’t use credit cards it to easy to just swipe it. When I used to put all the stuff on the card for Christmas gifts…. I hated paying the cards off, which took about a year☹️so I started freezing my cards in a plastic cup of water and when I wanted to use them my rule to myself was no cheating you have to let those cards defrost at room temperature so I’ll have time to think about my little impulsiveness 🙄I eventually didn’t desire to have credit cards. Training yourself to live within your means can be quite challenging when you have lived a life where your income was very good and then boom its gone due to a freak accident or your diagnosed with some terminal illness It forces you to think about everything in a different light. It’s all how you look at things…I hated going through changes but I can look back at my challenges and say I learned how to stretch, I learned how to fix and make stuff, I learned that cheap /free entertainment could be as much fun as blowing $50 at the movie theater….paper, pencil crayons and doodling whatever comes to mind or shooting a bunch of left over rattle can paint from your garage into a bucket of warm water and dipping your shoes carefully can make you so happy with the results that you 🤩 twinkle✨ . By the way I have never watched a video like this and lots of good tips, definitely will be checking out this topic. Thank you and will be forwarding to family and friends. Life is good! Cheers!
These were really good, practical tips! And I agree, it's better not to deprive yourself of the little things that give you joy, it's a good investment into your happiness!
I am so glad you think so too! It is always the little things in life that make us happy so I would hate to deprive myself of those :) Thanks so much for watching xx
Wow, you're a dentist? I'm a high school senior and would like to get into dentistry school. My dream job is being an orthodontist - 8 years of uni education in total. :) Edit: Lol just got into the part of video where you say you're actually an orthodontist! Lol.
Just seeing this now:) and im loving all of your practical videos. Very helpful. Thank you. Quick question, in budgeting/managing your finances 50% expenses, 20% entertainment and 30% for your savings and investment. Where does your luxury savings comes from is it part of the 30% savings or you get it from 20% entertainment budget? Thank you.
I never thought about saving just for luxury item and it’s not a bad idea, it’s feasible as well. So from now, 10% of my income will go to an account just for buying luxury. Thanks!
I love how to save/manage money videos too...or simply how to live a smarter life videos. Guess what, I too am currently saving for a preloved Chanel Reissue as well.🙌 I'm thinking a size 225 for me. Question tho. With your entertainment monies....if you have leftover funds that you do not use each month, what do you do with that money? Do you save this money to purchase a nice bag? Does it rollover into the next month? I'm little confused there. Thank you for sharing your tips as I've found it to be much helpful. 💕
I'm so glad you love those videos too! I feel so smart and responsible after watching videos from money/life gurus!😆I can't wait to add the Reissue but I am thinking of consolidating my bag collection first as I don't want to end up with way too many bags! So may be next year.. With the leftover entertainment money, I move it to another account (I've name this account "extra") and this pool of moneys is usually what I use to purchase luxury goods with! So I put any extra earnings and leftover money in here! Xx
@@IsabellesStyle Listen to me hun, because the feeling I just got from reading your response. This is exactly what I do too.😁 When I tell you the feeling I feel reading that you push those extra funds over really makes me know I'm doing something right, I got goosebumps. I'm learning as this was one of the hardest things for me to figure out and that's how can I afford luxury. One other thing, it is find if it takes me long to save. I prefer this time as it allows me that time to know if it's and item I really want forever or if it's an item I'm lusting over at the moment. I can't afford to make a mistake on my choses. Thank you for being here and I hope you don't mind tons of questions....I value your opinion MUCH!💕
Loved this video!! I am such a nerd too!! I’m always watching saving and investment videos! It’s what I love about TH-cam! You can learn so much!! Thanks for sharing!
This is a very helpful video, especially for those just starting their career. It's important to have the right footing, otherwise, you can get into a financial mess. I can say the new generations are luckier as they can learn useful tips from the Internet. However, I do strongly recommend using a Debit card or cash instead of a credit card. Cos you can only spend what you have and not via 'borrowed money' from credit cards. I know for sure having a credit card is tempting for you to splurge and most people have insufficient self-control when faced with retail temptations😅😅😅 With a debit card, if you haven't enough money to buy that luxury item, it makes you work harder and save more. It also allows you time to re-think again if you really want that bag or is it just a flitting whim & fancy. With the money saved from an impulse purchase, you can then spend it on an item that you really, absolutely love later on. Hope this extra tip has been helpful to viewers❣😊😊
LoL re: glamorous jobs. I'm in IT and non-profit so I definitely know what you mean. Do you ever find the smaller bags feel less useful? Not a waste of money because if you love the look, it's not a waste. But just that you use them a lot less? It seems I use the same 3 bags repeatedly because the others are just cute and don't carry enough.
I totally agree hun! I do the same, I have 2-3 bags that I constantly rotate between and the smaller bags get much less use but still love them hehe thanks so much for watching! Xx
Hi, I've been subscribed for sometime. This is the second time I am seeing this video and I started a budget book this year afterwards...however, the one thing I differ is that in my opinion, I feel the in-store experience is a big part of buying luxury...also, Ive been going through your videos and have seen a work bag video, but would really like to see a review of the givenchy antigona... I have seen other reviews on it but I got interested in it after seeing you with it. So, you've influenced me for that bag :-) and I would like to have your opinion.
Happy to have found you because I like to budget for fashion too. Also I’m starting up my YT channel from where I left off years ago and hope we can connect with similar passions!
Hey Isabelle just want to say I love your videos. Just a recommendation: add music and add editing to make it more interesting. Your points are so vital and lessons are important but people have a shorter and shorter attention span like myself. And I can’t sit through it without getting distracted/ maybe adding pictures or jokes. Be comfortable
i honestly looooove your videos soooo much but could u put pictures of the items you're talking about???? i'm just getting into luxury goods and half of the time i have no idea what the things you're talking about look like :(
I like your videos, but just because we buy something cheaper like that Chloe Faye that you bought doesn't mean you save money, you just spend less money.
I agree hun! But if it was a purchase you would've made even for the higher price tag, then getting it for a lower price is still a saving. If you buy something just because it is cheaper but it wasn't something you were thinking of buying otherwise, I definitely wouldn't call that a saving! Xx
Thanks so much hun! I actually always wear BB cream with SPF which is almost translucent (not much colour) but I think the SPF reflects off my lighting giving my face a very light appearance in videos. May be it is time for me to get some foundation 😆Xx
