@@MINERCRAFTpeVSxbox I blame our GM for thinking this bullpen was going to be good. At least Tanner Rainey has shown some promise, and Suero has been above average. But yeah, without Doolittle, this team is probably 15+ games under .500
The Nationals have hit 4 homers in a row twice, a single pitcher strikeout 20 guys in a Game, 2 perfect innings, 3 no hitters, a 19 year old steal 4 bases in a game, a cycle, AND 2 players get 10 rbis in a single game, but have not won a SINGLE playoff series. Baseball is weird. Edit: Well, this didn't age well. Add a World Series win to that list of achievements.
Parra has just made this team so much fun to watch and he's also made them play a lot better surprisingly. Signed a vet who was struggling in SF and he comes to the Nats and does great things for the team.
He gave up trying to paint the corners of the plate...watch the first few pitches. He’s getting definitive strikes called as balls. So he’s just sending them down the pike and daring the batters to catch up with him!!
JN336 he used to be more clutch but also he was like the first in that, so just a average homer. the bryce harper i know from the past 3-5 years would’ve whiffed. i’m a nats fan i’ve seen him play at least 25 times
This lineup is much better without Harper because not only does it bring out the best in them, but Harper basically did everything for the Nats in previous years, now without Harper, each player in the lineup is forced to produce from top to bottom, and they’ve done these things, which is why they got a much deserved World Series win.
I feel like seeing the dugout party really gives you a better idea of what the team is about. Also, it's MLB's property. They can do whatever they want to. They could title it the exact same but upload the whole game with ads.
Before 2006, this had only happened three times, all in the 1960s. This is the sixth instance of four consecutive homers in the past 14 years. Doesn't diminish how impressive this is, but that's just a testament to how much more common home runs in general have become.
The Biggest yEET Well technically padre just means masculine parent and Madre just means feminine parent so I think the only time you’d say ‘padre’ to mean ‘parents’ would be if there are 2 dads
They already did. The Nats were the last team before this instance to hit 4 consecutive homers in 2017. Brian Goodwin, Wilmer Difo, Bryce Harper, and Ryan Zimmerman hit four in a row.
No WAY!! Are they the first team to ever hit four consecutive homers twice? In 2017 Brian Goodwin, Wilmer Difo, Bryce Harper, and Ryan Zimmerman all hit consecutive homers in a 15-2 win over Milwaukee.
You mean this team that had a 0.1% chance of winning the Series in May? The team that started their first 50 games with a 19-31 record?...Way to pull my leg there, buddy!
Angels: We went back-to-back-to-back.
Nats: Hold my beer
Reds did a three-time too
The twins hit 3 in a row so GO TWINS
We're still under .500, but we've been doing well as of late. Hopefully this is a momentum builder
Same here, we haven't lost our last four series.......this win got us a split of it, if I remember correctly.
I blame the bullpen, they ruined any chance of being over .500 early on
@@MINERCRAFTpeVSxbox I blame our GM for thinking this bullpen was going to be good. At least Tanner Rainey has shown some promise, and Suero has been above average. But yeah, without Doolittle, this team is probably 15+ games under .500
Jacob Flowers Suero hasn’t been very good. His pitches don’t have enough movement to be good. His cutter isn’t very good averaging 90 mph.

World Series champion 2019!!!!!
It's crazy how much more likable this team is without Harper.
@UCTcnNVyFFefJJBxHwB7zKUg I think he cares, Phillies trash
It’s crazy how much more irrelevant they are without harper😂
George Miller because 0.8 WAR definitely makes a team more relevant
@@georgej973 It's crazy how ignorant Phillies fans are

Their series could have easily been won too that's the crazy part all 5 game series with weird shit happening that just didn't go their way
Hopefully one day we’ll finally win. As long as we can do it faster than 108 years, than I’ll be fine with it.

This is the only time I've liked that meme.
Nats have been so much better since Parra came. He seems to have really improved the morale.
I think you’re on to something
Who would've thought this rag tag team composed of dancing, hard hitting, and all out fun individuals would win the world series. GO NATS!
Parra has just made this team so much fun to watch and he's also made them play a lot better surprisingly. Signed a vet who was struggling in SF and he comes to the Nats and does great things for the team.
Too bad he's going to Japan next year...
Damn that was fun to watch! We also did it against Stammen, a former Nat!
That poor pitcher 😢
His era is going to be through the roof

@M Detlef booo get better material
If Bryce Harper was in the middle of that, he would have messed it up with a strikeout lol
They hit 4 homers in a row a while back and he was part of it...
He's talking about the Harper of post injury in 2017. I'd be more inclined to disagree if it was 2012-2016, especially in 2015.
You realize the last team to hit 4 in a row was also the Nationals, and Harper was part of it...

big facts
Yah, Para - keep the happy going. Even when he's not playing he's a difference-maker.
This aged extremely well. World champs baby
Couldn’t imagine the immense pressure the next batter up had
As I Nats home town fan, this is pleasing to watch.
This was actually fun to watch seeing how much fun this team was having during the back to back to back to back Homeruns

Nats: anything u can do I can do better
Can we all take a moment to appreciate this clarity? It's like im standing in center field...
The Nationals are the second baseball team in major league history to hit 4 straight home runs twice
This lineup is much better without Harper because not only does it bring out the best in them, but Harper basically did everything for the Nats in previous years, now without Harper, each player in the lineup is forced to produce from top to bottom, and they’ve done these things, which is why they got a much deserved World Series win.

Pretty much sums up the Padres season, pretty good start, unable to finish
Possibly the most likeable team of the decade right there.
This is impressive..
But really it only makes me miss having Parra on the team - what a guy
From Expos to Nationals, my babies have grown so much.

They gotta do this again this year...so remarkable to hit homeruns....such power...swing for the fences guys!!!

I could figure out if this video was gameplay of mlb the show 19 on the easiest difficulty or if this was an actual baseball game
The pitcher managed to give up 4 home runs on 16 pitches. 25% of his pitches resulted in home runs.
I didn’t expect 4 full ab
Four months later and they world champions!!!!
I am loving Gerardo Parra and the dance. Not even a Nats fan 😂
I now look back at this and think that this was one event that sparked the Nats' title run in 2019.
It started the dugout dances
Angels: 3 in a row we got some pop
Nats:let's do it for the 2nd time but without Harper
FLAMEZ 27 Harper would’ve struck out and ruined it

Man Nats were really good this year
This ball is so juiced they have made a carnival mockery of baseball. Thank you mr. Manfred.

Why not take the pitcher out after the 2nd home run?
How not to manage a pitcher 101. Poor kid should've been pulled after the first, and definitely after the second.
He's 35 and a vet lmao
He has a kid
Dodgers did this to Padres back in 2006 😂
Nats also did it in 2017 to the Brewers
The Red Sox did this to the Yankees in 2007. Oddly enough, J.D. Drew was the second man to homer in each of those sequences.
The San Dieglol Padres
@M Detlef two were off Hoffman 💪💪
That Kendrick long ball was some what satisfying!!
that guy was throwing beachball size pitches to hitters. damn!
Home runs start at 2:22. Foul balls start at 0:00. Stellar editing work MLB.
TimmyK916 they showed the whole inning. That’s awesome.
2:26 damn they mocking him with that fun fact and he crushed that baseball
Is this a baseball game or a Home-Run derby?
My goodness, the Nats started taking the Padres pitcher deep!!!
I'mma just take a shot in the dark and assume that Rendon was the last batter he faced😂😂😂😂
He wasn’t
Let's watch 3 minutes of the at bat before we see what we came to see
Really...obviously a case of incredibly short attention span if all you want is the meat without the potatoes.....
@MLB
The word 'Padres' is Spanish for Fathers. This means, using synonyms, you could reasonably call them the San Diego Daddies.
The Biggest yEET did you just find that out or what
Padres in spanish means parents not fathers
@@colinahr1905 no it means fathers...
@@hibrother6764 technically, it can mean either 'fathers' or 'parents'.

IMO this was the staple event, that turned the season.
You see, Eaton wasn’t going to hit a homer, but he got sad that he couldn’t drive a car with Kendrick
I feel bad for the fifth batter who didn’t get a home run
With that kind of chemistry, how can you not become a champion?
I was one of those dc guys that stayed with the orioles back in 2005 instead of going over to the nats. I've made a terrible mistake
well, the Orioles have actually won a playoff series.
Me: How did the nats win with their awful bullpen?
Also me: I understand now
Harper: the bats are trash this year
Nats: hold my beer
This is what the Phils are waiting for from Harper. Lots of baseball yet. Nats are making it a three team race
After the 3rd I think I’d get an idea to do something with the location
Not to be nitpicking, but you can only go back-to-back once. After that the next person has to face the front!
That was impressive.
That pitcher was playing T-ball throwing sweet cookies
I won a 6 team parlay because of this game. I couldn't believe it!!!
Stammen😂😂 didn’t he used to play for the Nats??
