We've been using the Canon M50 since March 2020 and had great success with it. Prior to that, we had no recording or livestream equipment, so it was a great entry-level setup for the cost. The biggest upgrade we've made is adding an 80-200mm EF lens to use in our worship services.
On a BIG side note, Canon has an EOS Webcam Utility that will bypass the 30-minute record limit when we hook up our M50 into OBS, using the micro-USB or micro-HDMI ports on the side of the camera. We use this feature to livestream services, record videos, or livestream & record at the same time.
UPDATE: After some research, I may have learned that the micro-HDMI port isn't great for capturing a signal because it's really only designed for a smaller camera monitor. We use the micro-USB and have no issues.

Good advice, as a Canon mirrorless shooter and using them around our church I'd like to add 2 things
    1. The canon m50 MKII the better camera to get vs the original IF you are looking to live stream, the M50 MKII has clean HDMI out, and will work better with a Blackmagic ATEM mini
    2. If you are willing to "break" the $1000 barrier, for the money the Canon m6 MKII is an amazing camera for the money. It does a proper 4k, it does clean HDMI out, slightly larger battery, autofocus and color science is top notch and you can get it with the kit lens for about $1100.
Also it has never once overheated on me while running it for between 2 services over 6 hours.
Finally if you want the reach the the 18-150mm lens is great. If anyone would like samples I can point to our live stream, so you see it in action.

Using the sony a6600 because of the battery and crazy autofocus 😀.. We use it at church with some old Canon xa20/25.
I also own the G85.. but as my personal camera. One thing i dont like is the battery. You need an external source as it wont last for more than an hr. Also the autofocus is not good. I do like that it is cheaper to get a 300mm equivalent lens with a M43 than a Emount lens

As a recovering Southern Baptist, I'm definitely not one who wants to help any church do ANYTHING. However, I will make an observation that could be useful.
I wouldn't recommend cameras with large sensors for this use case. You're probably better off with a more traditional HD camcorder.
Why? Depth of field. Sure, shallow depth of field looks nice and artsy in the movies, but those movies have dedicated focus pullers and specific marks that the talent has to hit.
If you're streaming a church service, you won't have full control over where everyone involved will be. So, you increase the risk of people being out of focus if you have shallow depth of field.
Sure, you could buy a camera with a large sensor and stop the lens down for the same effect, but at that point, why have the larger sensor in the first place?
