Your roses are beautiful, while very untraditional! lol! I wish we could have gotten a better look when you were showing the secret formula, or are you wanting the details of it to stay your little secret? Out of curiosity...were you taught these formulas somewhere, or are they something you came up with on your own?

No talking....and yet....BY FAR THE EASIEST AND BEST TUTORIAL I'VE EVER SEEN! Those profile diagrams helped so much. I've always had issues with the cone and it's importance. This makes so much sense! My cones were too skinny! Also I live in Arzona and struggle with every recipe melting too soon. Your flowers look so soft and silky! At least now I have something to do this weekend! Thank you so much!

I found this adorable Nordic Ware cake pan that looks like a skeleton in a coffin in a craft store a few weeks ago and it worked amazingly. Then I decided I wanted to pipe some roses alongside the coffin. Perfect!!

Wow, good for you! I wish I had started then! I grew up with a mother that baked and made beautiful wedding cakes out of our home to make some money to help our family. Even so, I just recently pulled out my late mothers' supplies and started to learn piping...at 65!! I have bad arthritis in my hands and wrists so while my progress is slow (and not too pretty!), it is coming along. FINALLY perfected my roses just a week ago! It is a true blessing to hear about a young person interested in a skill for life and staying away from drugs! God bless you and luck and love for your adventure.

What a fabulous tutorial for a beginner. Great instructional drawings and nice slow SIDEVIEW video. The side view is what I’ve been looking for in particular. Great that you explained the corresponding rows to number of petals and their placement for the different types of roses. They were all stunning( my favourite was the yellow one. 😍)

Wow. I've been looking at a lot of how to pipe buttercream flowers and your video is the best rose tutorial I've seen. I *love* the drawings.
And your three roses are each beautiful but with their own specific look.

Use a tiny square of parchment paper on the floor nail. It makes the rose easy to move. Then just pop the rose on a tray and place it in the refrigerator or freezer.

I watched this to see how to make roses. I work in a bakery and I'm currently a bakery clerk but I really want to be a cake decorator:) I wanna teach myself at home and the cake decorator we have at the bakery does roses on a wooden dowel. She does it so fast

Good detailed instructions.. I've made a few roses and they were OK but a bit flat looking! I see now that the initial cone I did wasn't high enough.. Can't wait to try this..
Small tip I saw somewhere and was pretty useful is to narrow the icing tip with pliers, the petals are really nice and thin that way..
