    Can the flowers be made in advance and stored? If yes how please

    • @TheHomeMakerBaker
      @TheHomeMakerBaker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +66

      Yes, you can make them a couple weeks in advance. Once you make them put them in the fridge till they are hard then transfer into an airtight box with the parchment paper its one. Do it in a single layer and dont over crowd the box. Once you’re ready to use put them straight on the cake/cupcake from the fridge

      @@TheHomeMakerBaker thank u very much for the details dear
      Now if the cream is left over
      Can it be stored?
      Or can i prepare the cream in advance then store for later use?

    • @TheHomeMakerBaker
      @TheHomeMakerBaker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Yes, you can surely prepare it in advance. Store it in an air tight container and let it thaw on the counter. Dont open the container though, so condensation forms outsides

    It's really hot here in jamaica so I have to put my icing bags in the freezer for a minute or two between each flower that I create. And because it will melt so easily I have to make a portable freezer so it won't melt on delivery.

      Try to work in a cooler room and chill your frosting to a point where its pipeble but not melting. Keeping a bucket ur ice near by for resting the buttercream also helps maintaining its temperature and also using some sort of a cloth to hold the piping bag so the heat from ur hand is not melting it too much. What temperature do you recommend the buttercream to be?

      Slightly colder then room temp which is 20-22C. Also if your smbc has been sitting outside for a while, rewhip it with a hand whisk before using again

    Hi. I have 2 questions. 1. Do you decorate directly on the cupcakes or do you make it and then put it on? 2. Can you make these flowers say 1 month ahead of time? Can you freeze them? Thanks!

      Hey. Technically you can but i find it easier to make them on the nail. Its easier to play with placement that way esp if you want multiple flowers on a cup. I have never frozen them but you can surely make them upto 2-3 weeks in advance, store them in the refrigerator in an air tight container preferably in the chiller drawer :)
