      You are correct to put people management skills at the top of that list. Managing people also requires good leadership skills along with situational awareness and emotional intelligence for example. However the main skill is undertstanding human behaviour at work and the ability to create or maintain a positive working environment.

    Conceptual skills if as said, it is the ability to analyze complex situations, it is also the ability to take into account the work of others, to take into account the interactions. The ability to conceive your own job in relation to the job of others in the organization.

    Management skills are important as it leads to employee satisfaction in the organization. when I did my graduation I conducted a survey of the employees of Honda company based on their satisfaction level, and the employees who had all these management skills found as highly satisfied than others, which means management and satisfaction go side by side.

    The biggest thing for me as a employee under a manager is that my manager is emotionally intelligent. My current manager doesn’t laugh or smile very often and is so cold. It makes me demotivated

    Compliance is not about doing what we say, but about making sure that what we do is what people want and need.

    • @clementgavi7290
      @clementgavi7290 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Compliance refers to a realm where at least two entities exist. Because you can only comply to something, thus compliance supposed the existence of a sort of patron against which you check the matching between that patron and something else. In this perspective, compliance can be about doing what you say in terms of what you have said. For instance, if you set rules verbally, you then say something, in following these rules in your doing, you are in a process of compliance.
      Making sure what you do is what people need and want is an aspect of staff management that intend to arouse the available energies towards the achievement of goals. And this perspective it is also about doing what you say. It is also about the ability to deploy yourself to reach them in their feelings, to put yourself at their place.

    The computer reading the script is distracting and it's filled with grammar and syntax errors. Sounds like someone read this off the back of a management cereal box (or had Chat GPT write it). Advice is generic not helpful. "Directing is one of the most important managerial skills where you take charge and tell people what to do."
