I'm not a biker, but I am a hiker. And there's a reason for the saying "Hike your own hike." My partner hikes a lot faster than I do and over time we just figured out that he needs to do that and just wait for me every little while, just to make sure everything is still going well.

The white quartz sand was pretty cool, the art in all the towns was also cool but my favorite was the gorgeous sunset at the end!

Hi! The best places we have found to connect with other cyclists are the Bicycle Travellers Facebook page, and the subreddits r/bicycletouring and r/bikepacking. You could post on there asking if anyone is planning a similar trip!
