    Awesome. I've been struggling with this stupid belt for two days now. Great broom handle trick 👌

    You don't need special tools to install the AC belt. The assembly is designed to be able to change belts without special tools. Simply rotate the disc to the proper marks and take the bolts off, then slide the disc to release tension, then install belt, then slide disc back into position and bolt up. Using a broom or anything to force the belt on damages the belt invisibly and shortens its life. You cannot see the damage visual and you will think it's all good. But it ain't.

      that broom shouldn't go inside engine.it must go somewhere else(lover and behind)
      As far as belt, just remove 4 screws in right position .

    Same here. I have a love/hate relationship with my 2012 550i with the n63. The car ran great years with the only issues I have are the weak cooling system. In the process of changing out the main coolant hose for leakage so I might as well change out the thermostat and water pump as well.

    Thanks for making this video, I will like to see more videos on how to fix TPM sensor issues, mine used to show the four tire individual pressures on the dash screen, when i check it under vehicle status. But after i changed all four wheels i dont see that anymore, I can only see TPM sensor malfunction now. it does not show the four tires on the screen that indicate which of the tires has the right tire pressure. i.e red, green or orange. mine is 2013 X6 i35

    I started hearing noise I think it dimming from tensioner or pulley
    I like to replace serpentine belt, tensioner and pulley
    Question I have how do you slip serpentine belt over alternator do you have to take out small coolant reservoir above alternator to replace serpentine belt
    Second question
    How did you crank the engine without starting
    Typically when you press start engine it automatically starts it doesn’t crank
    Thanks

    So loosen the bolt in the middle of the tensioner and then you can pull it to let go of tension?

    • @markmayfield1170
      @markmayfield1170 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s not a bolt that you loosen to take the tension off. It’s a t60 torx bit that is used to put into the place for it and turn clockwise to take tension off the belt. I’ll be doing mine tomorrow.

    I hope no one took this advice all you’re doing is damaging the belt by doing this way. The crank pulley will relieve the tension.

    Video was going good until the broom handle. No wonder why he’s changing it twice. use the arrow on the crank shaft, rotate to the left, remove 4 e12 bolts, then rotate crank pulley so arrow is on the right . Now all tension should be off the belt. Reverse process to install.
