I bought the 5X and never wore them. I find that they make my foot slip towards the front and end up pressed against the toe box. They have too much of a rake or drop for me. So I guess it is time to move to a different brand of shoe. Sad really, they always had the crazy colors I like and other brands not so much.
The sock liner is also a little more loose than say something like the 19, add that together with a 10mm 10 drop and I don't think it's a good mix for keeping your foot in place. This is another reason I was a fan of the cage and hoping they would release the five because I feel like it helps to actually hold your foot in place better
Lucky for you guys, I don’t think these have dropped in price at all here in Germany. Adidas might have a sale going on, but these would be excluded (and still is up to now).
i have the ultraboost 5 all black, guess to say for the max cushion point of view, these are not the best cushion for 2024. Agree with the NB 1080v14 is better cushion as of now

the design is way too understated for me. It's like you can't differentiate this shoe from mid or lower range adidas running shoes
Adidas has been ripping off their own design for their lower tier shoes. I have seen the bounce version of the ultraboost 5x 🤦🏻♂️

For me the ultraboost light was excellent.... I have 3 pairs of them....
Adizero SL2 being a more proper running sneaker with a top price point stole the limelight off these UB5/5X for sure.
No question the SL2 is an excellent shoe!

i had that with the ub21 cold ready a lot plus adidas with their chinese tiny toeboxes I aint buying them anymore

Xplr boost is more squishy than light boost
In Belgium there's 7 colorways of the Ultraboost 5 and only 2 for the 5x. So they didn't pull them here...yet
