This is the loveliest garden I have seen on Unsellables. Just delightful, and the indoor rainforest was gorgeous (even if it was a distraction to buyers.)
Yes, it was very homey/ homely, I think I see the show as much to see how other people live, I love cosy, lived in homes, the transformations are a fun surprise, but very mainstream, hotel like.
I didn’t like the comparable house. I liked their house. Loved the plants in the kitchen and the gardens are beautiful. A few changes inside and it looks amazing.
I absolutely loved the plants in the kitchen and I would have put them back in - it connected the garden to the house and made the kitchen look fresh and gave it a bit of a wow factor
Slightly quirky home but l appreciate quirky! I'm surprised Sophie didn't replace the gray flooring. This house could sell on the beautiful, lush yards alone! Hopefully the new owner's thumb was as green as Robert's.
Love the "after" living room and bedroom. Kitchen definitely better but I think they should have left a few plants. I don't care for the dividing wall. I liked the glass blocks better if there had to be a wall at all.
I understand that they needed something because there are stairs that go down to the basement, But I think building it in and adding a door down would have been much better. And agree with you, get rid of the pony wall. That's horrid.
Not understanding why the two 1/2 walls weren’t removed. I take that back..the one 1/2 wall by the stairs needed to stay…otherwise, someone could tumble down. Can the bi-fold bathroom door be locked?
I don't think that the bi-fold doors can be locked but I'm not 100% sure about that. I would have wanted those half walls to be something that you could at least, see through. You are right...the one half wall could go. What an awkward place to put that staircase leading down to the basement. lol
I like this episode because the first comparable house was really unattractive, with ugly furniture and a terrible kitchen, but it showed that emptying everything out works. Once the couple de-cluttered, it's cute and sold fast. The only thing is, I think clearing it out showed how much work it needs. All the gaps between paneling and floor boards are really bad, and the kitchen needed an island rather than a 1-person table.
Could have reused glass blocks on top of partial wall by entrance wall. Amazing how a few small jobs can make such a difference. Keep more plants. Most selling homes need to rent storage unit for taking out one third of their furniture and objects.
When decorating an office, never have your back to the door. Sounds silly but goes back to our primal instincts. We need to see who is coming up behind us otherwise we feel constantly on edge. Side on to a door is ok but facing the door is best as your back is covered by the wall.
Everyones taste is different but I think the upgrade would appeal to more people. Too many knickknacks is never a good idea when you're selling a home. I like what they did to it in the end except that flimsy table and chairs in the kitchen.
I love the shows like this, we have something comparable here in France. What I like about your houses are the colour of the walls : beige/brown with white trimming around the white doors. What I don't like are the sometimes heavy and almost always very dark furniture. If a house is updated here, the walls are painted white with one wall in a darker colour, like blue/green or terracotta or a wallpaper that represents a forest (in black and white that takes up the whole wall). The floors are darker, mostly tiles or vinyl, trompe l'oeil wooden floors. The furniture is mostly white with a light coloured wooden top (table legs white with a light wooden top, kitchen cabinets often white with a "concrete" or wooden top) Ikea style or in all shades of grey. Accessories are in pastel colours. What is used here often to separate the hallway from the living area is a "claustra". I love them : they are cheap to install and they don't take the light away.
Mistakes : doesn't need the half wall at the entry. Also yes they should have replaced the glass block but....not with a solid 1/2 wall. Should have mounted mirror is mb.
And I would have cleaned up the front yard, taken down those pony walls. Put up cable rail around basement stairs. Install cheap granite or stainless steel counter tops.
The kitchen floor is not only strange, but extremely unappealing. All of those cracks would get full of dirt and who knows what else. I wouldn't buy this house even after .
$370 thousand for this place? The housing market is totally out of control and totally unreachable for all but the 'luxury' market. So how do young families find the means to afford such an overrated/overpriced home? Really!!! What it the true VALUE of this piece of property blown way beyond reality. Greed seems to be a major factor....I'd bet much of it depends on the realtors' desire to benefit from such outrageous costs. Totally out of control... F.

I so agree! I found those plants and the light in that kitchen very appealing!
Maybe I'm weird, but I like the plants in the kitchen. Made it look homey.
I like what they did too unfortunately it needs to be more mainstream for the market
You don't want homey for a show house.
I thought the same thing.
Yes, it was very homey/ homely, I think I see the show as much to see how other people live, I love cosy, lived in homes, the transformations are a fun surprise, but very mainstream, hotel like.
I liked the before kitchen too.
I’m totally addicted to this show. Contractor guy is very handy and creative.
We are glad you like it! We post episodes weekly
This is my favorite duo! Both their expertise and personalities shine!!! Love, love, love this show AND my favorite ❤ duo...
Yes, Anthony is great!
9:40 I didn't know Anthony had dimples. Adorable!
I didn’t like the comparable house. I liked their house. Loved the plants in the kitchen and the gardens are beautiful. A few changes inside and it looks amazing.
That's literally the point she's trying to make. How's less attractive house sells quickly than their house. Because it appeals to the market.
I absolutely loved the plants in the kitchen and I would have put them back in - it connected the garden to the house and made the kitchen look fresh and gave it a bit of a wow factor
Absolutely right!
BTW...where is the problem cleaning a skylight?
So agree! 100%!
I LOVE seeing Anthony's perspective, with Sophie's style! Intersting, enjoyable, winning combination for this show!!
I absolutely can’t BELIEVE how much better the kitchen looks! That’s amazing!
The second comparable house was stunning
What a nice bunch of people. Well done everyone
Slightly quirky home but l appreciate quirky! I'm surprised Sophie didn't replace the gray flooring. This house could sell on the beautiful, lush yards alone! Hopefully the new owner's thumb was as green as Robert's.
YAY! Anthony! Sophie & Anthony great team!

Charming and adorable, what a transformation!
I think one of the reasons it’s not selling is because of curb appeal. The facade & frontyard needed some work as well.
The first time I really thought the sellers were nice people. They will make great parents.
Their own house is so much nicer than the comparable house, with the exception of no bathroom door
This show should be called "the power of paint and decluttering"
I can't believe that the first show is considered comparable....their home was much better!!
The first comparable house is worse than their current house
😀😀
It was an armpit!
This US/Canadian version is SO much better than the UK one.
It's cause of Anthony. He's talented and practical. And adorable.
What’s the name of the American show? I love these type channels. Thanks, Robin
I agree. The UK version has two people talking. Too much time goes in that. I prefer to see more of the renovations.
Not understanding why the two 1/2 walls weren’t removed. I take that back..the one 1/2 wall by the stairs needed to stay…otherwise, someone could tumble down. Can the bi-fold bathroom door be locked?

Sophie is so down to earth but she definitely flirts with the potential home buyers. LOL Great video on decluttering.

I like the skylight. Does it bring in a lot of light to the kitchen? Lady, you’re standing in the kitchen. Switch your brain on and look! 🤦🏼♀️
I miss the plants 🪴.
I hate bifold doors, they don't stay closed. Now, I like pocket doors.
Love this series!
I love the house and their personal style. I love the plants
One has to wonder why the real estate agent hasn't given the couple some advice already! At least on the decluttering and other simple things.
✨💖✨I couldn’t agree more. And the “unsellable house” is adorable. I would have no much fun decorating it.
It seems like the house had a basement. Shame they didn't show it.
You know it's bad when she asks a question and gets a answer and then says "hmmmm". She did a lot of that in this episode.
I agree I like the plants in the kitchen.
The garden is beautiful.
I loved the plants in the kitchen
Marcio looked sad as they were leaving the house
No bathroom door & tons of stuff, & they wonder why it didn’t sell? Very tiny rooms, but absolutely darling when done!
This house is so cute!! I could make it look fantastic!!
When decorating an office, never have your back to the door.
Sounds silly but goes back to our primal instincts.

Side on to a door is ok but facing the door is best as your back is covered by the wall.
Feng shui:) yes i prefer not to have back to any door
I miss the plants in the kitchen. 🪴💚
I can't help to notice the contractors cheek dimple is deep and cute

I like what they did to it in the end except that flimsy table and chairs in the kitchen.
the comparable house is actually ugly. I prefer these guys house even though it is cluttered. The garden and plants are stunning.
Could’ve cleaned up the front yard. It’s like walking through a jungle
Do I wish these prices were still
the same...
This show was done when Toronto was still affordable.
Not having a bathroom door. Weird. Having a toilet at a 45 degree angle. Weirder.
He says “I’m excited” he says.
Nice and fresh
All of those half walls look terrible! Bring the plants back in the kitchen!
Now they’ve just got to not watch TV until the house sells.
So what's downstairs - more room?
The bright yellow paint on the front of the house is awful. They could've painted it a nice neutral colour. 🙁👍😅🙏
those half walls they built look awful!
Sky light still shows peeling paint
Stainless steel countertops are the worst to live with! Get material which does need to be polished 24-7.
I love their taste however I guess you need to appeal to the masses

Which year were these videos taken?
They want a bigger house, but they already have a bedroom they don't use??
OMG
LOL! I caught that too!
I think the painted room divider and painted floors make it look worse.
Mistakes : doesn't need the half wall at the entry. Also yes they should have replaced the glass block but....not with a solid 1/2 wall. Should have mounted mirror is mb.
If there is no half wall on the entrance, it would be awkward to see because the flooring is not the same. It divided the floors accordingly.
PLEASE Sofi, tell us where the house is!!!!
Like early 2000s!
Why leave the entry half wall?
Sophie is wearing a pajama top
I will removed the half wall in the entrance.
What's downstairs
Why do they always use cheap looking, laminate counter tops?
And I would have cleaned up the front yard, taken down those pony walls. Put up cable rail around basement stairs. Install cheap granite or stainless steel counter tops.
The kitchen floor is not only strange, but extremely unappealing. All of those cracks would get full of dirt and who knows what else. I wouldn't buy this house even after .
The front view needs to be lighter those plants are too tall
That comparable is not comparable. All the work has been done “right”. Not cheaply like this wanna be contractor does. Cheap cheap cheap and it shows
Their house was cozy. I don’t like the house she is showing them.
$370 thousand for this place? The housing market is totally out of control and totally unreachable for all but the 'luxury' market. this is clearly a really old episode. That house would fetch $900,000 + pretty much anywhere in Toronto right now.
@@thesultan4030 I was going to say the same that would be soooo cheap today lol
Found it fascinating that they called this a house for "first time buyers" at damn near $400K. Crazy!
Sitting room is so British. It’s a living room for god’s sake
Lol dude is wearing a tank top to have guests over. Like, get dressed bruh
Why does the same episode keep getting posted over and over?
