When I was in 5th grade, my teacher wrote a play for us to perform for the school. There were three brothers named, you guessed it, Chester, Lester, and Fester Bramble. They were sweet on three sisters named, Rosie, Josie, and Posie Bush. Crazy that it popped into my head just now. I MUST be getting old!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I have followed Justin from the very beginning of him finding the cat, naming him Chester, them falling in love with each other. They are both adorable. He now has another feral cat that he has rescued named Ernie. Their adventures are sweet, wholesome, and very much the best part of what makes TH-cam so great. Justin has worked hard to put this land he purchased in order, and Chester is the BOSS of that land. Justin even put a whole shelter for the other ferals on the land that he comes out and feeds, has left them housing and fresh straw to help keep them warm. This young man has a heart of gold that shines through every time he holds that fantastic cat!! His channel is Justin Jenny on TH-cam and he puts new videos out about once a week of what he is doing on his property and how it is changing in every video. He also does live streams at least once a week where he gives real time updates on the cats and the land. Check him and Chester out, see the beautiful property they own, and get to know Ernie as well!!

My daughter and I rescue neighbourhood cats that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. We've even rescued 2 dogs along the way. We give them a home where they are loved, safe, and well-treated. Okay...we spoil them rotten, and love doing it. Justin is definitely my kind of people. ❤️

17 years ago we bought a foreclosed house that came with a pregnant kitty. We had her spayed after she had her litter. All kittens were spayed and those we couldn't responsibly rehome back then stayed with us. We went from zero cats to five in a blink.
She has been gone for over a decade now, but we still have one remaining kitten from her, a chubby old matron these days who claims the basement as her lair. We just lost her sister a few months ago to bone cancer - Mayhem, who will always be remembered as a notorious hunter, a large breed dog trainer, and one of my best friends.
Sometimes home comes with a few furballs - I encourage all to embrace these little surprises. They can become great blessings.

We're on our third generation of rescues--12 pets in 40 years--and we love each so dearly and hate that their time is so much shorter, but it does open the door for more.

There's nothing more rewarding than when an animal chooses you as their forever companion/family. I'd feel so privileged if that ever happened to me. ❤❤❤
It's true! I did cat rescue for about 10 years. I always felt huge satisfaction when I earned the trust of a new foster with an attitude towards people. "Well, I suppose you're OK -- for a human. *purr-purr*"
Also felt good to see my fosters warm up quickly to strangers in a pet store, after having been treated well at my place. "You trying to pet me?! Well, OK. So long as my favorite human approves."
@@sailincat2822 Thank you for your mission & dedication in rescuing homeless cats. It takes a lot longer for cats to earn their trust & affection. In that case, you must be doing something remarkably right for them to trust & warm up to you. ❤😻❤

My vet calls me "The Cat Whisperer."😺 A few times, other rescues handed me their hard cases to socialize for them.😊 Out of around 150 foster cats, half of them feral, one was returned to his colony, four were placed as barn cats, and three still live with me. The rest went to good homes, as best I could determine at the time of adoption. Of those, maybe 10% were "boomerang kitties" who were returned or retrieved, then rehomed again.
A few died. Rescued cats seldom come with vet records, and aren't always in the best of health. Most recent loss was this month, a 16-year-old former feral, rescued as a late capture kitten. I had him euthanized because of terminal stage kidney failure, on what the vet and I agreed was his last good day. Twice returned from adoption, he was the most loving pet I've ever had.🥰 Some might say that cat knew where he belonged sooner and more clearly than I did.😊
I got a pandemic cat she had been in 4 houses and sorta families and dumped to the pandemic returning to work crowd....I am her 5th home princess haru is now the most spoiled chunky never ever going to be left or dumped alone house floofy panther.

Poor Princess must have felt so confused jumping from one place to another, even though it was never her fault to be mistreated & made to feel unworthy of love. For fur babies, all they want is something as simple as food, shelter & TLC, and even wild animals want the same simplicity. I don't believe those things are too much to want nor ask for...❤❤❤

People who let feral cats live on their property are usually rewarded with love and a LOT of laughing.
Not many people realize how much cats like going for walks with humans. It makes them feel safer and allows them to go much further from home than usual. They love it.

Thank you so much for taking good care of Chester and the other kitties on your land. Little cuties! I rescued a cat two months ago form an empty house near my home in upstate New York. No way would he have survived several snow storms that have occurred since. His name is Tommy! He is such a sweet little guy, has a beautiful cat vocabulary and a gorgeous, elegant, eloquent cat tail. He's not very demanding--just seems happy sharing y home with me. It is warm, safe, has food, and there's love here--all th ethings a cat (or person) needs. Thanks for sharing Chester's story--and yours!
