Great job! I agree the 4.45 tire size is the one. I use that size tire on most of my scale crawlers. The 4.75 size is a little too big for most applications.
Don't be a Size Queen now, 🤭the 1st and 2nd set of rims and tires looks very akin to a factory Wrangler with P225/75R-15 tires. I could get into a
bone stock look for this old Jeep. They are all good tire choices and just like 1/1 Jeeps, some fool will always mount tires that rub and don't really
fit at all unless he drives on smooth pavement and never sees so much as a speed bump. Thanks for doing this video, I think you're ahead of the curve
Lol. If the body wasnt so big the small tires would be great. But this body is ridiculously large.
Nice wheel collection.
Loved seeing this video!!!! Thank you for taking time to do this. I wish they'd have went closer to a 1/10 scale on this Jeep because I own 3 YJ's and this rig is so nice. Just way to big compared to other 1/10 rigs.
What are the other YJs you own? I am doing research on what YJ would fit me best. Thanks
@@jonathan5354 well I own 2 1:1 YJ's, I had the Rc4wd SWB with the Tamiya YJ body which is about perfectly scaled to me if that's what your asking
@@RcDungeon ah ok. The Tamiya body and kit is very hard to get nowadays.
@@jonathan5354 yes I had two of them and let them both go unfortunately
cool vid!! big like!! 👍👍👍
Very helpful video! What offset do you think would be needed for the RC4WD KM3/Boom Racing combo? I really like the looks of those on the Machigan, but as you pointed out, a bit narrow.
Those boom wheels already have a 6mm hex on them. Boom Makes a 8 and a 12mm hex as well. XT608 hubs may be the answer. The other option would be to do the hex on the axle itself and add those hex extensions.
@@DixielandRC Thank you!
Thank you for the information
Where did you get the red wheels?
Those are Boom Racing Jellybeans that i painted red to match my bug build.
Great video,I plan on buying 1 of these being I use to own a YJ. Do u know if the chassis is the same width as an scx10 or trx4,etc.? Curious for bumper options.
I will check on that. I do know the mounting is wayyy different than the other brands.
@@DixielandRC thanks for checking on that. I expected the mounting system to be way different but I saw some of those cheap bumpers on ebay that have a universal style mount. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this
You may be interested to know it has the same chassis as the 1/6 Jimny and the Willys MB. The Willys came first and then they re-used the chassis for
the Jimny, which isn't really 1/6 scale sadly (Jimny is a Kei truck and is tiny in real life and also smaller than a Willys). And now they re-use
the same chassis/wheelbase and just scale the body up or down until the body they design fits over the axles. Then they call it "1/10" so
they can cash in and sell it to the established 1/10 community. Rather ridiculous that they keep doing this
I’d love to see a video comparing its size to other 1/10 trucks on the market.
I just posted one.
@@DixielandRC thank you sir! I’ll be sure to check it out.
proline got the swamper in 4.45
What is the inside diameter of the hex please?
12mm
@@DixielandRC 12mm hex size...interested in hole size...thanks
Try 4.5 fling kings
They have a 4.75. Nothing smaller than that.
