Safety bumper chain seems to bore smoother to me. I wonder if that combined with this would allow a more aggressive chain (lower rakers) that would still bore ok
Making that decision on depth gauge settings has a lot to do with density of the wood. I do find, clipping the back of the tooth off makes working with the tip a little smoother.
Glad to find this channel ! I use a Oregon file guide 3/8 which seems to sharpen the top half quite well . Is it necessary to sharpen the bottom , gullet ?
