That is a great video! I saw Willie Nelson some 40 years ago as a young lady. It was an awesome concert and after the show , Mr Nelson stayed and met with every fan that wanted to say hello and he signed his name on the concert flyer I had. I was just thrilled that he gave me a hug and a little peck on the cheek. Such a great memory, I'm now a much older lady of 65 and I still smile at that memory and my husband still teases me on how I blushed. Wonderful to see how even now he can relate to younger artists. I've always wanted to play piano with Willie, but who am?! I'm really glad Billy got together with Willie and did this, it's so dang sweet. Happy 90th Birthday to the great Willie Nelson! That's some sweet pedal steel playing, too... very sweet.
My good friend Doug Jernigan..the best on the ZUMSTEEL
Hello 👋 Rylie. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I'm Mark Clifford and am from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
Well his Sis' Bobbie is no longer with us. THAT GAL HELD IT DOWN ON THE PIANO.
That Tune is going to blow up...for both of them!!
This should be #1 in all of radio. Absolutely GOLD
this entire track is amazing but I TRULY GASPED WHEN WILLIE STARTED HIS VERSE, HIS VOICE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ INCREDIBLE
Autotune is wonderful technology.
@@msheridan4828 da heck is your problem, willie is almost 90 🤦♂
Willie sounded like a country chipmunk 🐿️ Fun song anyway.
Need version without Willie.
Just saying...🤠
Sounded awesome, Billy!! What a treat!! Singing with Willie Nelson is a total honor to me. He's the legend of our time, living and looking happy as he is, it is so nice to see him singing again!!
Now that's some country picking boys! Having Willie in it was the crowning touch.
What an amazing sight to behold. One of the goats with a young true country musician❤️.
This is excellent. I've lived in California my entire life and found most friends go Cali sober by 30. The central coast seems to have a slight twist as they add beer in moderation. This song and a joint made my morning!
I lived in Paso Robles until hard times hit...moved back to Georgia.
👍
@@JusticeAlways Did you take the midnight train?
A little crossfading does the head right
@unkorichie2029 You sir are correct:)
Billy's last solo is so tasteful.
New age legend sings with an old outlaw legend. This is badass!!! Love it!!
If this don't hit #1 on more than one chart, the system is rigged. I grew up around some very fine musicians and this is about the best I've heard. On endless loop and smiling all the time.
Are you suggesting that something can be rigged? Better be careful
This is a very very good song. But we all know it ain't going to be a number 1. Won't ever get played on main stream radio. But who cares great song
@@RustyManisduckman Its 2023 radio is dead hell been dead for the past fifteen years. It's simply not relevant.
I cud care way less what pop singles top ten or 1 or 100
@@DingDongDaddyFromDumas933 I wouldn't say it's dead but I agree it's pretty irrelevant at this point.
My foot won't stay still for this one! Just great!
It is so touching how you celebrate people, and share those opportunities for all to see
Thank you, and to all who help make it possible
Wow!!! That is how you know that you made it to the big league. Congrats Billy Strings
My daddy and i would roll down the road delivering loads listening to Willy and the boys.... Bless you all forever and ever... i love you Willy and Billy... a tip of the hat to simpler times and the goodness of the folks of the land...
Super talent meets a 90 yr old legend that can still sing at a recording level. Wow.
The fact that this video is 4 minutes and 20 seconds long is not lost on me.
Just found this Billy Strings and he is awesome!
There's some pickin and a grinnin goin on there!!❤
You’ve made it now Billy, a duet with Willie seals the deal very nice.
Somewhere where you feel that people with similar pains can relate to or understand the pain that you feel. Somehow helps.
Grateful that I found shelter from the storms when I gave my life to Christ. Now I have the confidence of knowing that when my time on earth passes, my sin debt has been paid by the blood of Christ!
That recording studio...this song....filled with God gifted musicians.
Whew!.....pure talent.
...you got the end right at least...pure talent...no superstition neccessary or present...
@@dericanslum1696 Correct. Hard work and love of the art. No need for spooks. Besides, some of these boys is atheists and proud of it. Don't need to shade them with religious nonsense.
So glad to see this.. saw Willie in Charleston WV when I was 18 drove 2 hours he put on a free concert. Had the best time of my life. Just turned 37 today and will never forget that day
This song is destined to be a classic!
Loving this song! Happy belated 90th Birthday Willie!!
"Some went straight, and some went straight to jail" might be one of the hardest lines Willie's ever sang 😤
F-Yeah ✨💗✨
Just love the fact that the originals that really made the change in music find themselves playing with Billy. Keep it up Billy, you are and will make the next explosion in the world of music! I love the sounds you find and expression of them in the music you make. Please don't ever stop the world needs you
Just wanted to add wonder if you got any ideas of playing with Claypool
He's already played with most of the top tier Jam bands. I would imagine he will run across Les in that scene eventually.
Could you imagine what that would sound like? It'd be off the freaking train. Hair standing on ends just thinking about it.
He has jammed with Les
@@ZacTexC do you have a date that I might check out. Would love to get it
That was great. Happy Birthday, Willie!
omg. This song could be 70 yrs old or from today. I LOVE IT!!
This is incredibly awesome!
I bet Billy is still pinching himself. Totally a well deserved honor to have an icon like Willie Nelson back HIM up! Congrats, Billy and Willie on an amazing track!
Hello Masha 👋 how are you ??
I think Willie can die a happy dude knowing the torch has been passed 😉💚
Day 1 of no alcohol for me, Billy’s music gives me hope I can change
checking in you good?
How are you going, man
@@juandajedi fell off the wagon pretty quickly but, recently I decided to give it another go and im on day 5 this go around. Praying it will stick this time, pretty confident it will though❤️

A real treat - and love that Willie Nelson is still enjoying his music. Great set of musicians. Love to all from the UK
I'm from Italy and i love this music. God bless you american People! You make me feel happy with this music!
It’s a shame that more folks don’t know about this stuff. Musical geniuses. So good!
Thanks for your support❤❤❤❤
My 13 year old nephew was lamenting his friends don't listen to "old country." So I played him some Molly Tuttle, Billy Strings, Marcus King and Tommy Emmanuel.

This is going to be big....real big.
What an amazing tribute to our Grandfather of country.
That is the sweetest steel guitar solo in a long time.
