Who's still here in 2023? Was introduced to Billy strings about a year and a half ago. His lyrics are true and really speak to me can't wait to see him in new Orleans for new years. I'm from Georgia. I hope everyone reading this has a good life and stays prayed up. You are loved!
I had to double check to see if this wasn't my comment from somewhere... I found billy about A year and a half ago and it's definitely changed my life... I would love to be in new orleans right now... He was on fire last night.. Hopefully I'll catch up to you all here in nashville❤❤❤
My son was born on this day #starwars bullshit. It’s now feb 2024. May 4th is soon to be on us and I thank my son being here but also billy strings for this. Mez @ Newcastle England
I really love how Billy steps back and gives each performer a chance to show off their skills, and never overpowers the stage. He's such a generous performer.
Adding that they can all step back/add in themselves at the right time- clearly a group with good chemistry. The sheer hard work and time it takes to get that good indicidually is impressive, seeing them all performing together is phenomenal.
The fact that he is so humble when he can write music and lyrics like he does and then perform and sing the way he does, makes him truly a once in a generation talent. And yes one of his best attributes is how he doesn’t demand the spotlight. He lets his brothers get some too. Love Billy so much
I've been playing a guitar for 45 years. Billy's arrangements honestly make me cry. I was the stage manager for one of his shows in the U.P. back in 2015. A loyal fans ever since.
Wow. Just wow. I think I would call the genre Headbanger Bluegrass. Definitely the best performance of any group I've seen on Music City Roots. They were awesome. And Billy Strings has a new fan.
Doc Watson was a great influence. Billy mentioned Doc on an interview I ran across. There is one Doc and one Billy Strings. The music goes on, which is great!
Man was this really just right down the road from me at the Factory in Franklin Tn?!.... Holy guacamole, I just heard of Billy a few years ago, but man if I'd known him in 2016.... . . . ; I'd Been There Fer Sure !...
amazing i love it, i dont know if im the first or not but proudly listening from panama, though im latin american, i have always loved Blue Grass, and Country in general, i cant stop listening, as a musician i totally think its worth sharing i love it!
Billy The King of Progressive Grass Strings! I got dibbs on the killer title. All or any royalties are appreciated. Even if it is just letting me dance that double bass around the stage with you just one time. I am already an ordained minister of my faith, but I know jammin with Billy got to be a spiritual experience. A vision quest of the Shaman if you will.
If you are not tapping your foot with this song someone needs to check your pulse SHAZAM!!! this is the best I've ever heard I'm 65 play bass in a classic rock band these guys are top notch what that guy is doing on that upright bass is very hard to do TOTALLY AWESOME MUSICIANS this is the best I've ever heard 😊
Billy strings you are doing what many fail to do , and that is keep moving ahead with the music, keep letting it grow take it to that different place. Supper job
yes, this ain't your grandaddy's bluegrass. I highly suggest these bands as well: Brown Bird, Eastbound Jesus, Front Country, Pert Near Sandstone, The Brothers Comatose, The Steeldrivers, Trout steak Revival, Old Salt Union. You will not be dissapointed. peace & nugs.
been jamming to this song for a while, so sick to actually see the dudes behind the strings!!!! keep jammin boys! I'll trade you an offshore fishin charter in Florida to see this jam live!

@@CelestialDad I listen to all genres of music but this is the epitomy of bluegrass.

Even if he did overpower the stage I could still watch it all day

Someone fetch a priest, the boy is possessed. Seriously, headbanging bluegrass. My flabber is gasted.

I will now say, "My flabber is gasted" for the rest of my life.

За лёгкостью исполнения и полётом импровизации всегда лежит тяжелейший труд. Чуваки супер-крутые!
Never heard of you until 2022 Grammys last night, you are now one of my favorite artists! Awesome!
I love to watch the crowd's reaction to his energy and enthusiasm. On top of being an incredible guitarist, he is a very charismatic showman.
Wow. Just wow.
I think I would call the genre Headbanger Bluegrass.
Definitely the best performance of any group I've seen on Music City Roots.
They were awesome.
And Billy Strings has a new fan.
And this genre has tons of members already...just not all of them on MCR. Infamous Stringdusters, Greensky Bluegrass, Railroad Earth
Sam Bush called it New Grass...I've also heard the term 'jam grass' being thrown around
MrBensonsBadDay Yes recently I've heard New Grass. I just saw Billy Strings live at Bluegrass Underground on Saturday! Fun times. Cool venue.
Trampled by Turtles has that genre on lock...look up wait so long.

Yes, Billy Strings is a machine....so great...Jack Baker NJ
This guy has obviously heard Dave Grisman, Bela Fleck, Tony Trishka, and especially Tony Rice. This is Spacegrass.
Jack D. Ripper I saw him in New Martinsville, WV on a Sat and he played with Grisman the next day! Has a tatt of Doc I think lol
Clutch?
Doc Watson was a great influence. Billy mentioned Doc on an interview I ran across. There is one Doc and one Billy Strings. The music goes on, which is great!
Jamgrass baby
John Deem he has a tattoo of Doc’s face covering his right calf
All those boys can play ❤❤❤
They are all fine musicians, they compliment each other and without overlapping. Cheers to this group by Billy Strings

Bluegrass, Grateful Dead and Metallica had a baby...and they named it Billy Strings
Yes ans I really like the woman on 6:45, watching around ("is it what we came to listen to ???")
Oh, the perfect description!!! I'm using it and giving you credit for saying it...
+maxence segard That woman is not impressed in the slightest.
She looks like me when I first saw Billy, the WOW factor x 10!! The little girl at 3:25 says it all.

Freakin' Billy Strings. One man that simultaneously makes me want to pick up my guitar, but also put it down.
Awesome mandolin !!!
This is insanely entertaining, captivating, beautiful!!!
A whole new genre here...truly mesmerizing.
If you don't see me at the creek...................I'll be up the creek and the nearest pub!
I still think that Billy should go by his given name: William Apostle... William Apostle is so B.A.
J R's Place I think I can agree with that. It has a ring to it.
J R's Place I agree!
Apostol
I call him William Strings
I call him Mister Strings.
