It’s very similar to the first time I heard the Steeldrivers back around 2009. I was like, this is the most METAL bluegrass I’ve ever heard. Well, share the stage Stapleton, there’s a nu metal bluegrass sheriff in town, and his name is Strings.

This song hits me like a box of rocks. My parents were meth addicts when I was a child that ruined our lives. Consumed with homelessness and just down right uncertainty. Would we eat, get robbed, raped? My father is clean now but All I ever wanted was an apology from him but he won’t admit to any of it. He just ignores the subject. Now I suffer from depression and anxiety. So every lyric of this song hits so hard. I love it when a song can just reach into your soul and pull something out.

She got really angry with me started cussing at me and told me to get out of her house. I think in her head she still justifies what happened because its technically a disease. Still doesn't feel right for me though.
