There is a Disturbed live DVD "Indestructible - live in Germany" recorded playing 6 songs at Rock am Ring festival in 2008... Check out that performance 🤘🤘🔥🔥Disturbed has a great mix of heavy metal riffs and electronic beats to their sound... some of their other songs - 'The Game' ... 'Stupefy'... 'Ten thousand fists'... 'Inside the fire' ... 'Prayer'... 'Land of confusion' (Genesis cover)... 'The vengeful one' 🤘🤘

  • @taconobaka1688

Now, imagine this song was your first taste of Disturbed when it first came out, then years later hearing their version of The Sound of Silence (which blows away the original, which I liked back then). My jaw hit the floor and I was awe-struck. They also did a cover of the Sting song If I Ever Lose My Faith In You that will floor you too. It's great as well. I can't bring myself to say it's better than Sting's version...the music, yeah, I can get there, but Sting's voice is just...well, an experience onto itself. I just can't say I like one over the other.
Then if you really want to be Disturbed, watch Inside the Fire. Good song, really disquieting subject matter.

I went to my first ever concert recently, it was a 2 day hard rock/metal festival. There were a total of 22 bands there, Breaking Benjamin headlined the first day and Disturbed the second...there was also Butcher Babies, Hatebreed, Theory of a Deadman, Three Days Grace, and Mudvayne...among others. So glad I was able to go both days, Disturbed is probably the singular band responsible for my interest in the vast genre of metal music.

His vocals live are fantastic, every song they play live is a banger, and they put a production on for sound of silence that is a must see live. The Vengeful One is another cool video to react to. Working as a referee for independent wrestling, the wrestlers usually come out to songs from that particular time. A guy that I’ve enjoyed being in matches with is Josh Magnum, who came out to this. He was very popular with this one company in Orangeburg, SC but stepped away to work for other companies. I got booked to work for that company the night he came back as a surprise tag team partner and as the ref for that match. The reaction when the drums started from the packed crowd who didn’t know he was there was insane. I couldn’t hear anything else. Whenever I hear this song, I think about just this crazy and cool moment.

At about 15 he said "nope" and he went the complete opposite direction. His grandfather was known as an outstanding singer and cantor and they believed David was going to be the next great cantor (singer).

The guitar sound you’re talking about that you like are called natural harmonics. When you strike a guitar string with your fingers on a certain spot, without fretting a note, you’ll get those harmonics. The band Machine Head uses a lot of natural harmonics in their guitar riffs. You should check out their songs Imperium and Davidian. 🤘🏻

Fan fact: David once visited the Chicago Zoo and while listening to the sounds of animals in a cage, the idea came to him to include animal sounds in some songs, so you can hear sounds from the beginning of this song like "ou a gh gha gha, ogh ogh! " By the way, this song was taken as a soundtrack for some action movies and appears in one episodes of the satirical cartoon "South Park".😁

The guitar "high part" in the chorus are called natural harmonics. Instead of pressing down on the string you lightly lay your finger directly over the fret and it produces the natural overtones.

The official video kind of leaves out a focally spoken part which would make it very clear what he's talking about. It's actually about having a very abusive mother, who he eventually lashes out at and says I understand now and I am down with the sickness too.

    David Draiman knows the intangibles.
My favorite Disturbed song will always be Indestructible.
It appeals to everyone's primal nature.
