Good one, also couple of tips for newcommers:
Protip: If the game is too difficult you can create a new Realm and farm items in the first location (with your already made character). You can sell for money to buy stuff or craft more healing items.
Protip 2: If you have low health and are near a Cerim Whisper, touch it then remove your gear and die to fall damage and you will return with full health. Full heal without using food.
That means whispers should replenish health, because that is a VERY weird way to get around it. This game needs tons of QoL things.
Yeah touching a whisper to heal would be great
Making a realm is also really good to get those expansion slots for resources and items.
Pro tip 2 makes so much sense why didnt i think of it?
I had no idea it was possible to extract Runes from weapons. Thanks for that tip, game changer

Watching this video should be mandatory when you start the game. Excellent job. I did everything in my first realm and had no idea how to use the Rune system because they didn't explain it at all. I just used the same boring attacks for 20 hours.

Great video! actual useful stuff for newbies and I love that you're using chapters for the video too. Would love to see a video about the different weapons in the game, which stats they scale with and showcasing their movesets. It's kind of a chore to try out new weapons since there's no respec system as of yet so I'm sure other people would appreciate a showcase as well.

@@ConCon -i have a question: i'm at the beginning, using the Blood-Rusted Sword - even when i have full 100 Focus, the Spin rune skill is not available when i press a bumper. is there a way to assign run skills to the hotbar i'm missing?- i figured it our, for 1H you need to do RB, not LB like all the other weapons

I've been making a mage with intelligence and fireball staff, if anyone is wondering what channel does, it uses health up to restore focus. Food is quite easy to get. So far put stats only into intelligence and focus and it's been pretty good. Upgraded the staff at blacksmith and I do a fair bit of damage early on with fireball.

I’m enjoying this game, but Jesus Christ I am terrible at the combat. People make it look so easy in their videos, then I play and get wrecked.
It's really tricky to get used to, I got smacked around a lot and still do
I am getting beat up by the groups mostly, when there is more enemies i am dead in seconds

@@ConCon A bit to hard in my eyes, i buyed a controller now to see if it helps me, because i noticed that locking on and fighting enemies are weird.
Watch some videos on s. That is generally the way with souls like games. Once you start to figure out the flow of dodging, things will get more manageable.

Focus? It builds when you attack or block, I think dodging too
Question been playing for a minute and have a bow in my second slot. How do I use it? I can't figure it out. Is there a special button just for the bow? Playing with controller

To save time on selling and repairing items (for free), you can create a new realm, resque the blacksmith and log out next to him. Then, if you want to sell items, simply log into the land.

Really like the game idea in general - but as an older gamer it is simply to hard for me in the current state. I hope they add some difficult settings later on. Currently it is unplayable for me unfortunately 😕
Sorry to hear that, it is pretty hard but once you get better gear after the first boss you can be a lot stronger and survive more hits
How did you feel about the heavy armor stat and allowing players to ram people?

The purple gear has a negative trait attached to it, shown in red.
The blue gear, has no negative, but, it's bonus pool is not as impressive.
Yeah it's very interesting, sometimes the better bonuses can be more worthwhile
How did you get fire throw on your dual daggers so early?
I took it off another weapon I got and used it on the daggers

Parrying is not pressing the parry button just before it lands, press parry the moment the enemy starts the swing.
i need copper ingots, but how do i get them? i have copper ore but where is the furnace to smelt them xd
There is a guy shown on the map in town North of the bounty/challenges guy that lets you upgrade each shop in the game to get a furnace at the blacksmith
Be careful abandoning/de-selecting weekly/daily quests - You will not be able to re-pick them and will have to wait for next day. In my case, next week :\ by accident.

Possible to fast travel? Can’t find how to do it 😅
After you get to the first town you unlock fast travel. However, you can only travel to the last whisper you were at, and from there you can only travel to sacrament. You can't freely choose where to go. At least not yet from what I'm seeing.
Only from whispers to the town or back to the last whisper you unlocked. It's not great but it saves some time in traveling back and forth
WHY does discarding a duplicate item discard BOTH ITEMS????? Got rid of a pickaxe and it removed both of them from my inventory, including the one I had equipped🙃🙃🙃

How can you travel with potals ???
Only from whispers after getting to town. It only lets you go to your last whisper or your whisper in sacrament. Unlocks at the town

Turn down your render scale to 80%, this will make the game more stable fps wise

is it me or are the loot drops super underwhelming? Im 7hrs in and im just now finding my first blue item which is a sword.
As you get higher level the drops get better, I get a lot of purples now after having past the sacrament town

No idea, you have to be away long enough. I didn't spend the day running to a chest location over and over timing it lol
how to use a bow? I tried everything, but attack only first weapon (sword). even if i have only bow in hands, i attack by fists...
The bow requires Focus in order to fire (orange bar). You build up focus by fighting and then you can use the bow by holding left bumper and press X (if on controller). If you hold down X you charge up your shot for extra damage and stagger. The bow can also be upgraded with runes and gems etc. Hope that helps
@@jimmyboz911 unfortunatly no. i play on keyboard. with full orange short bar i hold ctrl (choose second weapon), press attack and still attack by sword. may be i need arrows?
@@user-xh7dc1pn1o I can't help you then friend but hopefully someone on keyboard will be able to. I can confirm that arrows are not required only the focus bar and having the bow equipped in offhand. Hopefully you get the answer soon. All the best

@@user-xh7dc1pn1o Basically you'll have a button for using a focus attack with your main-hand (what you are pushing) and using a focus attack with your off-hand (which is what the bow is classified as).

1060 here checking in lol. It works well enough
Turn down your render scale to 80%, that produces a lot of fps. I play on a 2070 super but have solid 60 frames because of this
It does not require a 4090 lmao
