3:25 I would say the most important unlocks early are going to be your two ring slots since they actually add stats to your build. Having an extra 2 sets of resistances plus the ring base stat is great. Though I do agree that resource slots are the next most important. Since you probably don't have lots of rings in the early game maybe alternating resource, ring, resource, ring would be a good way to spend your first 4 unlocks.

I found the best weapon to use earlier in the game are your fists. Fastest attacks, can get 1 or 2 more hits in, even better than knives. It has a higher probability to create mini staggers and best part, the bigger the weapon enemies use, the slower the swing and you can get in quick with a couple of punches before they can finish the move and this interrupts it. Just use fast dodge rolls to move either back or around them, hold the parry button and hit the main button and you will always keep out of most attacks. Can use a shield but you will go into parry mode and lose mobility. If you get good at this you can time the moment they are about to start a move go in jab jab,stagger, jab, jab,jab. Pause wait for them to retaliate then jab,jab, pause jab,jab, pause and they die. When they get to about a third of their life, they won't be able to get another armed strike at you until they die. As for more than one enemy, dodge roll around or back pulling them away from each other. Finish them off. I am getting to the stage where I can take 2 on at the same time, jab jab they stutter stagger gives you enough time to focus on next one rinse repeat, don't get overconfident, stick to 2-3 punches and take a drawn out fight.
They are allowing a respec in upcoming updates. So, we won't need to create multiple characters jus to try out other weapons. Also, you can put the repair rune on a spare weapon and just equip it to repair everything (including tools).
So I'm currently using the Corpse Smeared Blade, just because I love Greatswords, but I got a Gnarled Blade Greatsword as a drop and I was so excited lol. I was confused at first because the base damage only showed 8, but I also didn't have the Strength requirement yet. Turns out as soon as you get the requirement, the proper stats show. I didn't know it visually changed like that. So about the Gnarled Blade; I want to Enhance it, but I only have 1, should I still do it? Are the chances of getting a Cursed rarity low? If so, I'll think about doing it then. I would wait to get another, but I think the drop rate for the Gnarled Blade is so low lol. It's a Tier 2 and already better than my current fully upgraded Tier 1 Corpse Smeared Blade.
carrying multiple tools are a waste of inventory slots since we are so limited. There are enough teleports to port back to town and use REPAIR ALL. Doing this will not only repair your equipped gear but also everything on you including your tools.
You can transfer items to your other character already by having them go to the realm you stashed your items in and since there is a fast travel point near the beginning its very easy
Best option is run through everything you can early before sacrament and sell all non building upgrades to philmore. I end up with 25 silver before the city and three building upgrades in 1 hr.
I'm lvl 9 right now, going slow, trying out different things. It's a new kind of game for me? and It turned to be very hard since I'd never played anything like Dark Souls, I'm into PoE and other Diabloids. It took me a while to get used to the combat style. At first almost every mob would kill me, especially those big ones with axes. And it took me AGES to finally kill Warrick the Torn, gee, that was such a pain! My mistakes were: 1) I used keyboard at first, and it was so bad for this game! When I finally switched to the gamepad it was an instant improvement! 2) My hero was too heavy, not quick enough to dodge well. 3) I was only using melee attacks. When I tried a staff with a Fireball rune and throwing explosives I started winning most of the encounters, even with the big bad guys. Long-range spells attacks rule! 4) I didn't invest into Focus (mana). When I got my gear infused with Focus regen it brought me to a new level,. Life regen is also a must. Well, the game is awesome, so beautiful, with so many different things combined in it, it definitely is worth your time. I hope to get better soon, my progress is slow but it IS happening. The "Big Costly Mistake Regarding Food &Recipes" part is not true. You can either outright buy the mushroom soup for 22 or you can buy the ingredients for it for a total cost of... 22. This is the same for crab chowder, dracaena dumpling and chewy steak the prices for buying the ingredients and directly buying the food item is the same. Gordon has fair prices
Want to get into town quickly and kill the first boss, but having difficulty with your weapon not parrying well? 2 handed weapons have a high block defense rate, staffs none existent and parry doesn't work. Do Mentone keep, look around carefully. You need to accumulate gear to sell. Free the Smith. Sell enough to buy 10 smoke bombs from him. When you get to first boss dodge roll around his attacks until he staggers or pauses and throw a smoke bomb at him, 6 will kill him, but you may miss a couple of times. This is easiest way to kill him. When you set the way point in the keep look towards back wall to the right, climb on the rail and jump up on broken part of wall. You will see blue shiny thing. Try to get it but keep more to outer part of wall. When you fall off wall you will land in water below and survive. Swim to shore, there's 2 critters to kill rather easy. Open chest, explore left, only crabs and other goodies now head far top right and you will find a ladder, this is a cheats way to get to the first boss.
You do no damage and get stun locked whenever you get hit. I started with a claymkre and every swing I’m wide open to get punished. Try frustrating and boring

He’s telling you about the things he wish he had known at the beginning of the game. No shit you will learn them eventually by playing but you wouldn’t know them just starting out. For instance it’s totally possible for someone to make it to town and maybe miss the inventory upgrade guy at the top of the tower on their first visit. This is a good video for someone who’s looking for some tips and is just starting the game don’t be an asshole. Don’t like it? Then don’t watch it. And don’t hate on the guy who made it just because you’re already aware of the information being presented.

I found this out last night. I beat the final boss at level 15 and the world jumped to 21. It’s been a struggle without getting 1 shot.

Made a new realm for farming clay (which didn't work out as much as I hoped) but I got 12 embers before reaching sacrament. Still nice

Game is hard but funny and the only stuff i can say that i really don't like in the game are: jump puzzles and bosses with 2 phases.
