You just never really know what you’re gonna find at the pawn shop. You’re fortunate to find a shop that would work with you on the prices of most of the knives you looked at. Finding a pawn dealer who will negotiate with you adds an element of excitement as we all like a good deal on a knife. That Victorinox Swiss Tool was a sweet find at that price. That leatherman knife at Alfords pawn shop with the bit in the handle is a rare one. Wish my pawn shops around here was like the ones you visited.

Cleaned house on that trip. Awesome. In the Alford Shop that looked like a Randall #28 on the left with $100 tag on it.... Probably a clone but I'd have had too see it.... SF brother.

That Pawn shop used to be a regular stop for me when I worked East AL. I immediately recognized the wooden framed box where they kept the “cheap” knives! 😅
It seems fewer shops here in Central AL/Bham area bother with moves anymore 😕

Wow. This isn't too awful far from me. We had to make a trip to Birmingham yesterday and we hit 4 pawn shops on the way back. I think one of the 4 had 1 decent knife in it, these were along I-20.
I am a big fan of US Made Gerbers, you got some good knives at a steal there. Those are good, 90's era knives that aren't made like that anymore. You got those at the prices because that area is very depressed economically....
