Kevin, when you were looking at that fixed blade I thought someone mentioned that it was a scout knife, but it is not. It is a RH Pal, looks like a 6" blade. It is from WW2 and was issued to many troops throughout theaters of the war. After the war they were sold as surplus for about $2 and came witha sheath. I'm not sure off the top of my head about the maker but I believe they were made in New York State. I have one myself, inherited from my father who bought it after the war. Thought you might like to know a little real info about the blade.
Absolutely correct Pal bought out Remington tooling and materials around 1940 , Pal WW2 fighting knife my daughter carries one strapped to her boot EDC . Tennessee
Yeah I knew it wasn’t a Boy Scout Knife. I just let them talk sometimes. Helps with the cost of the knife I’m looking at. The video will be out today of me going over what I bought. Thanks for watching!!
I enjoyed the knife-hunting shopping trip. Thanks for taking us along. I’ll be watching for your video of your closer inspection of your new purchases.
Man, I'm sitting here in Kalifornia, envious of your freedom. Half of the stuff in those gun and knife cases are illegal where I live. It doesn't feel like we're in the same country anymore. Please don't take your freedom for granted my friends. Much love. : ) p.s. That Pal fixed blade knife was a find!
Nice pickups, especially that S&W display case. That Gerber mark I above the scouts knife you got was a pretty solid buy at $89. Wish I was closer I'd of scooped that one up.
😮, DOC ! Momma, told me , you're a bad influence. Cause I am Buying more knives, and I don't need them 😂. I said: this makes me happy 😁. Oh- well 😊. Great video Doc. Semper Fi, Marine...
That is a good find on the display and also that Case whittler you got. I was waiting for you to look at that Camp style knife, but you didn't look at it. That Case with the Stars and Stripes shield was from 2002. I ordered me several of those while I was stationed in Korea. Smoky Mountain knife works gave you a belt buckle of the same design shield if you ordered a certain amount.
Ok after rewatching I see that it is a PAL knife which bought Remington in 1940 and it is similar to a RH28 but has the blood groove unlike the RH28! 30 dollars is a decent price I think!
Hi Kevin, nice video and good hunting! I really like these videos, viewing all kinds of knives! I agree with you, not taking anything from China is rubbish! Beautiful ending with the herd and the young cow, you can see that the girls are doing well! Be well !🙂🔪👍🐮
I think I made out PAL on tang … but I could be wrong … I stay away from the used leather handles.. in my opinion they weren’t that strong new ; as compared to solid steel filling up handle… the used ones ( and this is only from my experience) are rusted - (the integrity is gone ) I wouldn’t trust using it. Unconditioned leather soaks up, moisture in turn rust, the metal. I use to look for old tools and have found quite a few of these leather handled knives in toolboxes with the leather handles half there crumbling away. Sad. As with anything else, just a little bit maintenance would have Made a big difference .
I have a Mikov Auto with Stag covers. Really nice knife and it has great pop. There's one guy that imports them to the US, and they are not all that expensive. I got a little chuckle, the Pawn Shop guy thought the Czech Republic was Russian. Awesome pickups espc with that display case. Keep up the good work and Semper Fi brother.
The boyscout caught my eye immediately
Good morning everyone!! Let’s shop!!!’
Watching the channel as it grows is a blessing. I wish you all the success.

@@theknifedoctor that’s awesome! What’s your favorite marker ? Also, cheers from New Hampshire.
That shotgun shell looking knife might be a Japanese made Kershaw.
Have you ever seen an HK knife made in New York
