    Some great fish caught. Often wondered how best to fish a deep fast running straight like that. Is that channel between I and J in the Inner Hebrides ?

      @@OnlyananglerThought it looked familiar. Haven’t been there since I got into sea fishing (I was there for the whisky !) but often thought that water would be good for Pollack. Fast flow though but if they are in close then not so much of problem. I tried fly fishing a few of the lochs but too damned windy !!!
      Good and helpful vid. Cheers.

    I think you were losing some fish because you were setting the hook. Sounds counterintuitive but just keep reeling when you feel them knocking and theyll swallow that eel whole! This works better as pollock suck their food in rather than biting it. Youll lose very few doing this.

    love Pollack fishing..the big ones put Bass to shame..no thrashing about on the surface just a missile heading for the rocks and cabbage lol

      Miles stronger then a bass, can’t wait to get back out after them.

      Sorry for the late reply, they are jelly baitfish with weighted jig heads! Yeah pollock are great fun!

    Cracking video mate. Quick question can you feel the bites okay with weight being higher up ??

    • @Onlyanangler
      @Onlyanangler  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, yea you can feel the bites fairly well. Obviously you catch the bottom a bit so any resistance I treat as a fish usually.
