He has no access to all the people he could ask for help. The beast tribe is like a more than a year away, if he sends a letter there, 1 year for the letter to get there, 1 year for them to reach his parents, a total of 2 years before help can even arrive. Badi left, ruijerd is currently travelling. He can't just ask some random adventurers to travel a year to get there, he would constantly be thinking if those adventurer's even make it, or maybe they decide to quit half-way he wouldn't know until years later. Traveling in this world is hard, it has to be someone strong enough to even get there, and still strong enough to assist his dad and his party, at minimum an S-rank adventurer, and the only one in the city is elinalise. Because of her curse, elinalise would have to sleep with random strangers again so she decides to breakup with cliff.
Why doesn't Rudy use his magic to just fly there? I remember he broke his legs when he rescued Aisha but he was a child at that time with no practice, if he tries I think it wouldn't be that hard.

@@zukumacro5632 He doesn't necessarily have to fly on a very high altitude, Just enough to fly over forests and buildings(And they already do many other dangerous things being an adventurer so I don't think that's the reason) And Rudeus can't run out of mana, it has been mentioned multiple times in the anime but he has even more mana than Demon God Laplace, Basically in terms of mana he has the highest in the entire universe.
I think a lot of people are forgetting how long it takes for letters to be sent in this world. Letters may take months if not years so you never know what happened. The situation might have gotten exponentially worse, but you’ll never know.
Letters also don't always reach their destination. The letter Rudy received from Paul a few episodes ago, was also inside the chest of valuables, in case the other letter didn't make it.
You need to remember one thing, time and travel distance. Paul doesn't know about the marriage, he only sent the girls to rudeus knowing the general location he was living, the city. As far as calling in favors, no one is within a reasonable distance of rudeus, his adventure bros are like 6 months away, the beast tribe people are like 2 uears away. The 6 armed dude? Ueah he's been MIA since he and Ruijerd had their stare down. It's something the light novel pointed out, rideus is on his own. The way I see the letter, someone sent a bunch of letters out to a bunch of people all over the world to send help, essentially, what you suggested rudeus do, has already been done, dudeus is the help bekng asked for from the sender's point of view. Yeah, not an easy situation, but a lot less can be done than you guys were spitballing
Elinalise felt bad because she told Rudy everything was good with Zenith so she wouldn't have to see Paul when she met him after Sara. That's why she's "taking responsability" now. Besides, this is now her family too.
It’s more abstract involving a fork in the road where Rudy has to make a big decision with a lot of what ifs and huge ramifications based on which choice he makes. On top of that, he has to choose whether or not to listen to the man gods advice who has yet to be wrong. This turning point bleeds into the future resulting in wondering was it the right choice and was it worth it.
There's a reason why it's called turning point. Alot of people thing Turning Point is about Rudy getting into a big problem or something big happen. But turning point it's not only about Rudy. I'm not gonna answer that but I just gonna tell that not spoil anybody
They're all emotional (unless you don't think being separated from everyone and everything you know and dying from a gut wound aren't emotional). This is just a more HOPEFUL turning point.
The 'sensitive condition' thing is this weird prohibition the Japanese have about sex during pregnancy, its a superstition but its a cultural thing that doesn't translate well Edit: Also, the problem is distance. That letter is a year old at least and all of those favors that he could call in would take just as long to arrive at his friends as it would for him to get to the continent. And then they would need to travel. This is all on top of him only vaguely knowing where IN A CITY Paul is. That's a bit like writing to your friend in Sub-Saharan Africa to go help your Dad in Paris while you live in Mongolia, in the 10th century. If the problem is urgent, he goes now or everyone might be dead or something by the time the help even agrees to go help.
Lol no Rudy doesn’t have to WEAR the chastity belt, he just needs to charge it with his mana so Elinalise can wear it and counter her curse for an extended period of time.
Let me try to explain why Lise says she'll break up with Cliff. No spoilers; this is just stuff the anime cut out. Cliff's invention only increases the time Lise can go without sleeping with a man; it doesn't remove the need to do so. This means if she goes on an adventure that is guaranteed to take at least two years (one year to get there, however long they spend there, and one year back to Ranoa), she will have to sleep with other men. That's why she said she would break up with him. In the novel, they go into greater detail, such as suggesting Cliff goes with her, but she brings up that he is just too weak to survive the journey, plus he has his studies and plans to become Pope. So she decides it's best they break it off now. And remember, Lise is friends with Talhan (the dwarf), Gease, and Roxy and at least used to be friends with Paul. And all of these people are over there trying to save Zenith. Who she is also friends with. Now that Rudy has married her granddaughter, there are plenty of reasons for Lise to want to go help. Only Lise and Rudy are experienced adventurers, so they are the only two who could help. If Rudy isn't going, she feels she has to. In the novel, she brings up that she told Rudy to go to the university and leave Zenith to the others, and she admits she now feels guilty for telling him to do so. (She doesn't know it was the Man-God's advice that made Rudy accept the invitation to attend the university.)
This is a turning point for a reason, as a matter of fact it may be the single most important turning point in the entire series, I don't want to spoil y'all just can't wait to see how everyone reflects on how naive you guys were now when the pieces come together
17:00 I think the problem is that Rudy had no way to actually contact Ruijerd since he don't know exactly where he went (especially Eris). As for calling for others, that would also be difficult since messages takes a long time to reach others (that letter from Geese took half a year to reach Rudy) and by then it would be too late, heck, for all he know he might already be too late so he can't afford to waste time (to the point where he couldn't bring Zanoba and Cliff even tho they were willing to go)
hitogami feels like he is giving advice that help but doesn't really really help rudeus. what i'm thinking right now. By telling him to feed someone in need (kishirika) he basically made him avoid meeting roxy(a critical supporting pillar for rudeus) but got the demon eye in return. By telling him not to go to Begarrit (the first time) he prolonged the amount of time Zenith is captured or gone/lost (dont know what is her actuial state, just guesswork) Now he told him AGAIN to not go there but also to do the dirty with either Linia or Pursena... Hitogami has an agenda but i can't put my finger on what the hell is his purpose, what is he trying to do???

Just for power scaling currently rudeus is an emperor(imperial), not official but his spells are that powerful. I wouldn't say he has a lot of connections that are actually wiling to send people above advance rank to help, and even then that might not be enough
All the discussion will be about the second half of the episode, and rightly so I'll admit. But credit to the anime for showing so much other stuff in the first half without feeling like a messy episode. We saw Rudy's daily routine, how his relationship with Norn has improved, spent a shopping date with Aisha, checked Nanahoshi’s and Cliff's research progress, checked in on Zanoba and Julie, as well as Ginger's "backstory". All of that in less than half an episode is crazy.

About sent help thing, You can say it hard to try to adapt novel properly into anime because you need to cut many dialogue as possible. So in the novel Rudeus don't want to hinder his friend to travel 1 long year with him. they not that strong and still student that why he only ask Zenoba and Elinalise and 6 arm guy just go somewhere apparently
One reason not to "send help* is that Zenith et al are located in Bergamit, apparently far away and nearly as dangerous as the demon continent. So that means a message to someone would first have to go to whoever would help them (probably taking a few months), then they would have to make a perilous and dangerous journey across very dangerous terrain, and then have to tackle the problem. Badigadi is strong, but I kinda think he would not want to do Rudi's deeds for him. The beast person chief has responsibilities of his own - he needs to protect his own folk from bandits and slavers; I don't think he'd drop his tribe, and no one else in the tribe is strong enough to be that useful. Also, if Rudy wrote someone like him, what if he said no? A year or so might pass as they exchanged letters. If Rujerd were still around, or Ghislaine, either would be a great choice, but he left a few months ago and he has no idea where Ghislaine is... I do agree that a clever Rudy *could* try something else -- one tactic would be to go all out on helping Nanohoshi ("let's summon Zenith!") but success could be years away. Or try and lean on her to get those Teleportation Circles (though she said she didn't know where they were, only Orsted did, and Rudy isn't going to risk talking to that guy). I think what Rudy probably hopes is that with his magic and traveling lightly, he can move a lot faster than anyone else. After all, if an enemy is strong enough that it can stop Paul and Roxy (both very powerful) AND their other party members, then no one short of Rudy, Ghislaine, Rujerd, or Badigadi is going to make much of a difference -- and I'm just not sure Badi is the kind of guy would be relied on for this.
There are commonalities between Man-god's advises. Now the Zenith rescue arch beginnend, you can look into it after the arch ends. Just watch the anime back in s1 and S2 part 1. The hints were there all alone.

Of course, it's not just Zenith who is at risk: if the party is in trouble, then that means that Paul, Roxy, and Lililia (plus the rest of the party) may all be in deadly danger as well. They aren't going to wait for him.... This, presumably, is why Elinalise would go -- her fellow party members (e.g., Roxy) are in danger.
I don't know how it's explained in the anime but elinalize only does its job with cliff, that's what I understand, that's all I'll say to avoid giving away spoilers.
I've read the LN so I know what's going to happen, but Rudy has the magic and know-how that, if he can't build a plane, he could at least build a para-glider and use wind magic to fly across the land at high speed.

He was a hikikomori NEET but he was of above average intelligence and, in his isolation, he did a lot of self-study because he loved learning and trying new things, which is why he's so good at making figures. He's quite well versed in general science. And it doesn't take much to make a paraglider if you can control wind. It's basically just a parachute attached to a chair.

The man god came off as trying a little too hard to keep Rudy from going. I haven't trusted that guy in a long time. Rudy can't just call people for help. It would take far much longer to seek out help than if he goes himself. It's horrible to not be there for the birth but I think it's an easy decision to make. If there's a chance you can save your parents, that's what you do.
i think you guys are overestimating he favors he is owed by others. and the capabilities of other factions. sure ariel will help if its convenient, sure the beast men will give him leeway in their territtory and do him favors. but asking people that important to expend that many resources and hamper their own operations for a 2 year trip isnt in the cards. elinalize yes, because she knows gthe family. and you have to realize just how far above the average fighter rudy is now. ariel cant spare 6 advanced swordsman for the tripp (she doesnt even have tthat many, they are very rare.) the vastt majority of people in this world are intermediate in swordsmanship or begginer to intermeddiete in magic. rudy has enough combat power with the right team to pull the weight of dozen's of mages, and is special in his aptitide in close combat for a mage. for ariel to help the same as Rudy would, she would have to send a contingent of mages or a significant chunk of her loyalists. and the favor she owes Rudy simply does not cover that.

Plus, the letter this episode came from Geese, not Paul. Paul has no idea that Rudeus even ran into Sylphy at the university.
that's because the delay for letters in their world takes months even a year depending on the distance. So the letter about him marrying sylphy most likely is still stuck on some courier or post office somewhere not to mention the time it would also take for the reply to come.

@@joby-wankenobinolan3428 The distance from the King Dragon Kingdom to Rapan is shorter than to Sharia, so Paul's group would've arrived at their destination a couple months earlier the sisters did, and Paul and Geese would have met up and had a couple months of searching before Geese decided to send the letter.
Crunchyroll's translating isn't accurate. Muse Asia is more accurate. The letter that geese sent said 'Having trouble rescuing Zenith. Requesting help.". Geese sent Rudues that letter specifically for him. He also sent one to Elinalise.

I mean its true becaue she fell but damm didn't need to have that friendly fire in that emotional moment. 🤣😂 Also in the last letter paul said he congratulated rudeus on entering ranao its unsure if he got any letter on the marriage and knows rudeus is married because letters can take months if they arrive or sometimes not arrive at all. Also callling everyone you know is pretty hard because those letters also take forever to reach also rudeus doesn't know where everyone is. Ghislaine is with eris wherever she is. Rujierd is searching for superd so he is not gonna stay in one location until he finds them. Everyone he knows that are particulairly good adventurers or fighters aren't around. Besides i guess elinalise who already said she is going and roxy who is also already there.
This turning point was the least dramatic but most probably impactful one. Choices to make, which all lead to regret one way or another, and for the first time, Rudeus disregards the Man-God's advice.
Paul isn’t the one who asked for help, Geese did. Also, they don’t know Rudy is married yet, it takes a while for mail to travel and he only got married a few months ago at this point

This turning point is more akin to the first one, as in the first, the mana disaster happened at the end of the episode, and it was only in the following episode that the journey began, and it was the events of that journey that marked turning point 1 as so impactful, not the event itself, as it was with tp 2, with the encounter with Orsted. Since we live in the modern world we can just go to many places in a couple of hours But in this world it may even take years to go to another continent and who know how old Paul's letter is, that's why rudeus is hesitant to go because he probably might not come back in years , we know that it took almost 3 years for rudeus to come back from the demon continent
Since he encountered hitogami, rudeus always followed it's advice and his life has been good because of it. This is the first time we know rudeus will disobey one of hitogami's advices. That's the turning point.

I'm with Norn though, Rudeus has the best chance to help his mom and dad as they in more danger than Sylphy who has a support system. People put too much faith on the man God when we don't know everything about him or his intentions.
Regarding Rudeus using the connections of his allies to send help instead of going out on his own, there are a few problems with that: 1. People tend to forget this but Rudeus is an extraordinarily powerful person, and therefore would stand the best chance of rescuing his family. He should be the one to go. 2. The way in which the letter is written suggests urgency and a need for immediate action. Think about it - Paul (or someone) wrote a letter and mailed it and the ONLY thing they wrote was basically "Send Help." Rudeus needs to get going ASAP. Of course, if he had time, he could put together a party containing his immediate social circle, but as you can see most of them have very reasonable reasons for not being able to go. And as far as utilizing the connections of said people, they are either nonexistent or might as well be nonexistent given the circumstances. - Zanoba and Ariel are essentially banished members of their respective country's monarchies and thus don't really have very many subordinates, at least not any that would be willing to abandon them to help someone else. In other words, Ginger must protect Zanoba, and Luke Greyrat must protect Ariel. - Linia and Pursena are essentially princesses in their own way and thus probably do have a reasonable amount of pull with their tribe's warriors. On top of that, the Doldia tribe arguably owes a debt to Rudeus since he helped save their children and their village from traffickers. Sounds like a good option to me, except that the Doldia Tribe lives on another continent (that is not on the way to the destination which is the Begaritt Continent). The only way to contact them would be by sending them a letter, perhaps even multiple letters because one might not make it there, and then wait months and months for a yes or no answer that might never come. By then, it might be too late. Also, it's worth noting that hiring mercenaries or adventurers wouldn't really be feasible either. This is supposed to be a 2 year long journey. I imagine it would cost a pretty penny. Not to mention, ultimately you would be hiring people that are only out for the money and therefore might abandon you and/or your family if the going gets tough. Hope that was a good explanation.
You know with Sylphy's reactions with Rudeus last episode with the whole undergarments that Ariel caught em, I ain't even surprised she pregnant if anything it feels late

The beast tribe is like a more than a year away, if he sends a letter there, 1 year for the letter to get there, 1 year for them to reach his parents, a total of 2 years before help can even arrive. Badi left, ruijerd is currently travelling. He can't just ask some random adventurers to travel a year to get there, he would constantly be thinking if those adventurer's even make it, or maybe they decide to quit half-way he wouldn't know until years later. Traveling in this world is hard, it has to be someone strong enough to even get there, and still strong enough to assist his dad and his party, at minimum an S-rank adventurer, and the only one in the city is elinalise. Because of her curse, elinalise would have to sleep with random strangers again so she decides to breakup with cliff.
Why doesn't Rudy use his magic to just fly there? I remember he broke his legs when he rescued Aisha but he was a child at that time with no practice, if he tries I think it wouldn't be that hard.

@@zukumacro5632 He doesn't necessarily have to fly on a very high altitude, Just enough to fly over forests and buildings(And they already do many other dangerous things being an adventurer so I don't think that's the reason) And Rudeus can't run out of mana, it has been mentioned multiple times in the anime but he has even more mana than Demon God Laplace, Basically in terms of mana he has the highest in the entire universe.

I think a lot of people are forgetting how long it takes for letters to be sent in this world. Letters may take months if not years so you never know what happened. The situation might have gotten exponentially worse, but you’ll never know.

Letters also don't always reach their destination. The letter Rudy received from Paul a few episodes ago, was also inside the chest of valuables, in case the other letter didn't make it.
You need to remember one thing, time and travel distance. Paul doesn't know about the marriage, he only sent the girls to rudeus knowing the general location he was living, the city. As far as calling in favors, no one is within a reasonable distance of rudeus, his adventure bros are like 6 months away, the beast tribe people are like 2 uears away. The 6 armed dude? Ueah he's been MIA since he and Ruijerd had their stare down. It's something the light novel pointed out, rideus is on his own. The way I see the letter, someone sent a bunch of letters out to a bunch of people all over the world to send help, essentially, what you suggested rudeus do, has already been done, dudeus is the help bekng asked for from the sender's point of view.

Elinalise felt bad because she told Rudy everything was good with Zenith so she wouldn't have to see Paul when she met him after Sara. That's why she's "taking responsability" now. Besides, this is now her family too.

This is a different Turning Point, the last 2 was a spectacle but this one is an emotional one.
It’s more abstract involving a fork in the road where Rudy has to make a big decision with a lot of what ifs and huge ramifications based on which choice he makes. On top of that, he has to choose whether or not to listen to the man gods advice who has yet to be wrong. This turning point bleeds into the future resulting in wondering was it the right choice and was it worth it.
There's a reason why it's called turning point. Alot of people thing Turning Point is about Rudy getting into a big problem or something big happen. But turning point it's not only about Rudy. I'm not gonna answer that but I just gonna tell that not spoil anybody
They're all emotional (unless you don't think being separated from everyone and everything you know and dying from a gut wound aren't emotional). This is just a more HOPEFUL turning point.

That letter is a year old at least and all of those favors that he could call in would take just as long to arrive at his friends as it would for him to get to the continent. And then they would need to travel. This is all on top of him only vaguely knowing where IN A CITY Paul is. That's a bit like writing to your friend in Sub-Saharan Africa to go help your Dad in Paris while you live in Mongolia, in the 10th century. If the problem is urgent, he goes now or everyone might be dead or something by the time the help even agrees to go help.

Let me try to explain why Lise says she'll break up with Cliff. No spoilers; this is just stuff the anime cut out.
Cliff's invention only increases the time Lise can go without sleeping with a man; it doesn't remove the need to do so. This means if she goes on an adventure that is guaranteed to take at least two years (one year to get there, however long they spend there, and one year back to Ranoa), she will have to sleep with other men. That's why she said she would break up with him. In the novel, they go into greater detail, such as suggesting Cliff goes with her, but she brings up that he is just too weak to survive the journey, plus he has his studies and plans to become Pope. So she decides it's best they break it off now. And remember, Lise is friends with Talhan (the dwarf), Gease, and Roxy and at least used to be friends with Paul. And all of these people are over there trying to save Zenith. Who she is also friends with. Now that Rudy has married her granddaughter, there are plenty of reasons for Lise to want to go help.
Only Lise and Rudy are experienced adventurers, so they are the only two who could help. If Rudy isn't going, she feels she has to. In the novel, she brings up that she told Rudy to go to the university and leave Zenith to the others, and she admits she now feels guilty for telling him to do so. (She doesn't know it was the Man-God's advice that made Rudy accept the invitation to attend the university.)
This is a turning point for a reason, as a matter of fact it may be the single most important turning point in the entire series, I don't want to spoil y'all just can't wait to see how everyone reflects on how naive you guys were now when the pieces come together
I finished volume 18 of the LN over the weekend and my god did that advice at this turning point have layers 😂
17:00 I think the problem is that Rudy had no way to actually contact Ruijerd since he don't know exactly where he went (especially Eris). As for calling for others, that would also be difficult since messages takes a long time to reach others (that letter from Geese took half a year to reach Rudy) and by then it would be too late, heck, for all he know he might already be too late so he can't afford to waste time (to the point where he couldn't bring Zanoba and Cliff even tho they were willing to go)
hitogami feels like he is giving advice that help but doesn't really really help rudeus.

By telling him to feed someone in need (kishirika) he basically made him avoid meeting roxy(a critical supporting pillar for rudeus) but got the demon eye in return.
By telling him not to go to Begarrit (the first time) he prolonged the amount of time Zenith is captured or gone/lost (dont know what is her actuial state, just guesswork)
Now he told him AGAIN to not go there but also to do the dirty with either Linia or Pursena... Hitogami has an agenda but i can't put my finger on what the hell is his purpose, what is he trying to do???

Just for power scaling currently rudeus is an emperor(imperial), not official but his spells are that powerful.

But credit to the anime for showing so much other stuff in the first half without feeling like a messy episode.
We saw Rudy's daily routine, how his relationship with Norn has improved, spent a shopping date with Aisha, checked Nanahoshi’s and Cliff's research progress, checked in on Zanoba and Julie, as well as Ginger's "backstory".
All of that in less than half an episode is crazy.

About sent help thing, You can say it hard to try to adapt novel properly into anime because you need to cut many dialogue as possible. So in the novel Rudeus don't want to hinder his friend to travel 1 long year with him. they not that strong and still student that why he only ask Zenoba and Elinalise and 6 arm guy just go somewhere apparently
One reason not to "send help* is that Zenith et al are located in Bergamit, apparently far away and nearly as dangerous as the demon continent. So that means a message to someone would first have to go to whoever would help them (probably taking a few months), then they would have to make a perilous and dangerous journey across very dangerous terrain, and then have to tackle the problem. Badigadi is strong, but I kinda think he would not want to do Rudi's deeds for him. The beast person chief has responsibilities of his own - he needs to protect his own folk from bandits and slavers; I don't think he'd drop his tribe, and no one else in the tribe is strong enough to be that useful. Also, if Rudy wrote someone like him, what if he said no? A year or so might pass as they exchanged letters. If Rujerd were still around, or Ghislaine, either would be a great choice, but he left a few months ago and he has no idea where Ghislaine is... I do agree that a clever Rudy *could* try something else -- one tactic would be to go all out on helping Nanohoshi ("let's summon Zenith!") but success could be years away. Or try and lean on her to get those Teleportation Circles (though she said she didn't know where they were, only Orsted did, and Rudy isn't going to risk talking to that guy). I think what Rudy probably hopes is that with his magic and traveling lightly, he can move a lot faster than anyone else. After all, if an enemy is strong enough that it can stop Paul and Roxy (both very powerful) AND their other party members, then no one short of Rudy, Ghislaine, Rujerd, or Badigadi is going to make much of a difference -- and I'm just not sure Badi is the kind of guy would be relied on for this.
There are commonalities between Man-god's advises. Now the Zenith rescue arch beginnend, you can look into it after the arch ends.
Just watch the anime back in s1 and S2 part 1. The hints were there all alone.

Of course, it's not just Zenith who is at risk: if the party is in trouble, then that means that Paul, Roxy, and Lililia (plus the rest of the party) may all be in deadly danger as well. I've read the LN so I know what's going to happen, but Rudy has the magic and know-how that, if he can't build a plane, he could at least build a para-glider and use wind magic to fly across the land at high speed.

He was a hikikomori NEET but he was of above average intelligence and, in his isolation, he did a lot of self-study because he loved learning and trying new things, which is why he's so good at making figures. He's quite well versed in general science. And it doesn't take much to make a paraglider if you can control wind. It's basically just a parachute attached to a chair.

and you have to realize just how far above the average fighter rudy is now. ariel cant spare 6 advanced swordsman for the tripp (she doesnt even have tthat many, they are very rare.) the vastt majority of people in this world are intermediate in swordsmanship or begginer to intermeddiete in magic. rudy has enough combat power with the right team to pull the weight of dozen's of mages, and is special in his aptitide in close combat for a mage.
for ariel to help the same as Rudy would, she would have to send a contingent of mages or a significant chunk of her loyalists. and the favor she owes Rudy simply does not cover that.

19:30 Paul didn't get the letter about him marrying Sylphy. From what the letter about sending Aisha and Norn said, he only knew that Rudeus started going to the university in Sharia. Plus, the letter this episode came from Geese, not Paul. Paul has no idea that Rudeus even ran into Sylphy at the university.
that's because the delay for letters in their world takes months even a year depending on the distance. So the letter about him marrying sylphy most likely is still stuck on some courier or post office somewhere not to mention the time it would also take for the reply to come.

@@joby-wankenobinolan3428 The distance from the King Dragon Kingdom to Rapan is shorter than to Sharia, so Paul's group would've arrived at their destination a couple months earlier the sisters did, and Paul and Geese would have met up and had a couple months of searching before Geese decided to send the letter.
Crunchyroll's translating isn't accurate. Muse Asia is more accurate. The letter that geese sent said 'Having trouble rescuing Zenith. Requesting help.". Geese sent Rudues that letter specifically for him. He also sent one to Elinalise.

This turning point was the least dramatic but most probably impactful one. Choices to make, which all lead to regret one way or another, and for the first time, Rudeus disregards the Man-God's advice.

This turning point is more akin to the first one, as in the first, the mana disaster happened at the end of the episode, and it was only in the following episode that the journey began, and it was the events of that journey that marked turning point 1 as so impactful, not the event itself, as it was with tp 2, with the encounter with Orsted. Regarding Rudeus using the connections of his allies to send help instead of going out on his own, there are a few problems with that:
1. People tend to forget this but Rudeus is an extraordinarily powerful person, and therefore would stand the best chance of rescuing his family. He should be the one to go.
2. The way in which the letter is written suggests urgency and a need for immediate action. Think about it - Paul (or someone) wrote a letter and mailed it and the ONLY thing they wrote was basically "Send Help." Rudeus needs to get going ASAP. Of course, if he had time, he could put together a party containing his immediate social circle, but as you can see most of them have very reasonable reasons for not being able to go. And as far as utilizing the connections of said people, they are either nonexistent or might as well be nonexistent given the circumstances.
- Zanoba and Ariel are essentially banished members of their respective country's monarchies and thus don't really have very many subordinates, at least not any that would be willing to abandon them to help someone else. In other words, Ginger must protect Zanoba, and Luke Greyrat must protect Ariel.
- Linia and Pursena are essentially princesses in their own way and thus probably do have a reasonable amount of pull with their tribe's warriors. On top of that, the Doldia tribe arguably owes a debt to Rudeus since he helped save their children and their village from traffickers. Sounds like a good option to me, except that the Doldia Tribe lives on another continent (that is not on the way to the destination which is the Begaritt Continent). The only way to contact them would be by sending them a letter, perhaps even multiple letters because one might not make it there, and then wait months and months for a yes or no answer that might never come. By then, it might be too late.
Also, it's worth noting that hiring mercenaries or adventurers wouldn't really be feasible either. This is supposed to be a 2 year long journey. I imagine it would cost a pretty penny. Not to mention, ultimately you would be hiring people that are only out for the money and therefore might abandon you and/or your family if the going gets tough.

Which would you want- a life of feeling sorry for not supporting your wife, but she's damned unlikely to die, what with healing magic and whatnot, or a life of feeling sorry because you let the rest of your family die without doing a damn thing to help. I'm a father and a son. I know which one of those future would ruin me.
