There are many things, even things one would expect magic to heal, cannot heal. Bleeding and infection? Sure. But theres no indication or evidence of other things such as blood pressure & most definitely not post partum depression.

I think one issue for Rudy is also the fact that a trip to Begarit continent takes a bit over a year. So when he comes back he will not only have missed the birth of his first kid, he will have likely missed the first 2 birthdays as well. Remember it takes years to travel in Mushoku Tensei world.
Makes you realise just how fking big the Mushoku world is it's atleast 2x bigger than Earth
On top of that, that letter was sent a year ago by that time frame, anything could have happened in that year. Really makes you appreciate our modern instant communication lol

I can't imagine what kind of thing makes the rescue squad to send the "send help" letter. Paul's party is stacked asf, they already got Roxie as a mage but still needs Rudy help.
The Labyrinth they are at, is a legendary one in terms of challenge/difficulty. There was a hint of what it is earlier this season, Rudy read a book on it.

Issue is bro is extremely sketchy since every fkn person who knows about him hates him. So you're playing the game of trusting him and him tricking you, or ignoring his advice and losing something important. If the man god was trust worthy this wouldn't even be a difficult decision.
The problem I'm having is that Rudy, and his friends who give advices, seem to only weigh two options: help out yourself, or no help. But what about send someone else to help? Rudy has many powerful friends.
@frankartanis1290 elinalise did offer to help. But it's a literal year-long journey. It's a big thing to ask. Additionally, everyone he knows in the academy has never met his family with the exception of elinalise, so they wouldn't recognise them. Only powerful people that rudy knows are badi and ruijerd, one of which left. Rudy literally has no options but to go or stay. Can't go around asking people to travel for two years for his sake.

After reading the Paul Gaiden I can confidently say that sending the girls to Lilia's family would've been a non-starter. Lilia's mother absolutely hated Paul during his stay, blaming him for her husband's attention being robbed from her in his training and the coinciding visit of the Water God. She had a habit of hurling insults and emptied wine bottles at him. Imagine how her attitude towards Norn would've been like, the daughter of the man who ruined her family.

I'd been chasing lt a bit and has found some leads that've suffered link rot. Roxylib was a luckh find, since I don't read chinese and machine translation only takes you so far.
One thing to keep in mind is that by the time Rudeus actually reaches the Begaritt continent it will have been at least 2 years since Geese had actually sent the letter asking for help.
Nope, it would’ve been a year. Iirc what it said in the novel is a year to get there and another year to go back. So the back and forth travel would be two years, not two years to get in Begaritt. Unlike the Demon Continent, Begaritt Continent is a lot closer to Ranoa where Rudy is at. It is still a long journey but it is directly below the Asura Kingdom and they will just have to pass through the Dragon King Mountain Range and take to the seas to take them to Begaritt while the Demon Continent, they’ll have to travel to the other side of the world just to get there. That’s the two years travel. I know it’s a bit of a refresher for some as most of the places I’ve mentioned are places they went through so technically, Rudeus alongside Ruijerd and Eris back then could’ve gone through Begaritt themselves after their encounter with the Dragon God but they went back home after that.

Rudeus and Elinalise ponder about this a lot and think of different ideas. Eventually Rudeus comes to the conclusion that Geese had to have met up with Paul and sent the letter, rather than just sending the letter before meeting up with the others.
This is because Rudy had sent Paul a letter a year and a half ago, Geese would have no way to know where Rudy was unless he met up with Paul, also meaning he had to have been in Begaritt at least 6 months ago.
Hope I got that right, kinda hard to remember it exactly as it is written.
Anyways this letter is actually an important detail, but not yet. Or rather…Nope I can’t say anything. But piece together in clues you might find.
Yeah, this would be a super tough situation to be in. Because we obviously have the meta perspective that whichever decision Rudy doesn't choose is probably the "red flag" option, especially when the choice he chooses is ignoring what an omnipotent god's advice, but being in that position yourself, you'd be wracked with guilt and potential regret no matter how much you try to rationalize it.
idk. Technically the letter asks for help, but not specifically Rudeus's help. Rudy knows a lot of strong people, he can send other people as help on behalf of himself. Rescuing your mother is important, and would be great if you can do it yourself. But if you value the advice of a god (which so far has not failed you), this seems like the second best option you have.
There are no phones and no internet in this Isekai world. We take a lot for granted in modern society.

the thing that truly makes this episode a "turning point" for me despite how relatively chill it was is the deviation from the man-god, up until now this whole time rudy's been living his second life hes followed all of the instructions and advice the man-god has given him which has overall been pretty consistently beneficial(hes been sus as hell about it but still net positive) this is the first time hes disobeyed the man-god and chose his own path

Paul said things like that in Season 1 Ep 4, but of curse Rude would react totally diferent. Sylph got surprised with the "thank you!", it fit really well though.

There are no right answers from Rudy's POV. That's why this Turning Point is so good. First two turning points are like bombs. Third one is like a slow acting poison.

Spoilers for people who want to know why the mangod didnt wanna send him to help. Warning, its a long spoiler.
The mangod is actually evil and the dragon god is the good guy. The mangod didnt wanna send rudeus to help find his mom because on the journey he is suppose to reuinite witj roxy which the mangod doesnt want to happen because in the future rudeus is destined to have kids with 3 women/ wives. All his kids are destined to become super powerful and will help orsted kill mangod but the daughter he has with roxy is destined to be born with god gifted intelligence and will be the one that will figure out how to get to mangod and kill him with the help of her siblings and orsted hence why mangod is trying to stop rudeus from reuniting with roxy. Theres a second main timeline that is in the future where mangod killed roxy while she was pregnant with rudeus daughter. Because of this rudeus became hateful and became obsessed with becoming stronger. That version of rudeus is the strongesg rudeus in the series. He is a future old version of rudues who became so powerful he use to god around killing emperor level mages and swordsmen out of spite and was hunting members of the seven powers. That version of rudeus even found a way to enter mangods realm. Mangod got so scared he sealed all entrances to his realm because he feard future rudeus is capable of killing him. Future rudeus developed and mastered two new types of magic which was gravity magic and time magic. He couldve developed more but we never got to see it. Old rudeus tries to travel back in time to warn young rudeus but the time travel magic will jump back in time little by little. In fear that it may take years to go back using a method that wouldnt harm him he decided to just jump right back in time with time magic in one go and in the process he ended up teleporting back in time without most of his internal organs. Even after going back in time in a vastly weakened state due to all his organs literally being left back in the future he was still able to hold his own against the demon kings sister and relatives and helped drive them off. Before dying he handed young rudeus his diary which held all the information on his journeys and information about mangod. The reason mangod is trying to tdy a safer approach to prevent rudeus from having his other children is because in the past timeline when he helped straught up murder rudeus wives and children rudeus went on to become ridiculously powerful which is why he is trying a safer approach in the current timeline just by trying to manipulate rudeus into not reuiniting with his other two future wives aka eris and roxy. Also rudeus strongest child in the future at the end of the series will be his son with sylphie. His second child with sylphy to be exact. Their first child is a daughter. His son with sylphy is born with rudeus talent for maguc but unlike rudues he will be born with top tier talent for swordsmanship as well and will be trained under the sword god in swordsmanship. By the time he was only 10 he was already king level in magic and swordsmanship. To put that in perspective ghislaine is king level in swordsmanship and shes ridiculously op and his son achieved that at 10 😂. King level is two level below god level and he achieved that level in both magic and swordsmanship. He also becomes one of the seven great powers by 19 or 20. He is ranked 5th at only 19 amongst the great powers which is obsurd.
i personally think he shouldnt go until he gets more info at least, or word directly from paul. The only issue with this plan is the pressure from norn since she was literally about to leave to go herself, and also the time it would take to possibly get more info if any at all. The man god doesnt show often so if he did for this then id probably take my chances with staying. id assume the worst that comes with staying is losing paul and zenith. Geese's letter is strangely vague, and seems like a desperate plea for help, as though thats all he had time to write. i assume geese knows rudy is a years travel away and still sent the letter regardless.
He's worried because it will probably take months to go the other continent as we know it took reudus almost three years to get back from demon continent

Paul does not know Rudy got married btw. The letter he sent Rudy before was in response to one he sent upon first arriving at the school. Since it takes about a year for mail to travel, Rudy’s letter about his marriage still hasn’t reached them.
You cannot trust Hitogami, but in this situation you can't really know what was the really advice, it's pretty obvious he knows that Rudy doesn't cheat with Linia or Pursena

I cant believe how stupid Rudeus is, like bro, omnipotent being giving you advice not to go + he never lied to him + he brought him here. Its easy choice imo.
This is definitely a situation he'll regret no matter what he chooses, and besides, it's his parents who are in real danger, not his wife. Thinking rationally, he could end up saving lives by deciding to go and help, not just anyone's lives, but those most important to him. And don't forget that we don't know the man god objectives and that for some reason he is hated by other people who know him.

I feel for Rudy, I really do, but he's not considering all his options. He could try to find Rujerd. Elianise already said she's going. He could also hire Soldat. His choices aren't limited to just staying and going.
i mean idk paul and his party feel like they are capable enough to clear most high level stuff I think, so the fact that gees asked RUDEUS for help just means that the shit that's happening is hardcore and they couldn't think of anyone else who would be strong enough to help, specially because geese should know that they sent the girls to go and live with their brother so he wouldn't ask him for help unless they REALLY needed it, but then again the letter didn't come from Paul himself so it seems kinda sketchy, i see 2 scenarios, its either Paul wouldn't agree to send a letter because he knows rudeus will come if he read it an he doesn't want that, or the letter is a trap and someone other than geese sent it to lure rudeus to begaritt for some reason

It’s damned if you do damned if you don’t situation if he dosen’t go there’s a high probability he’ll lose both his parents which if he stays will effect not just him and he already has past life trauma from that but it’s basically telling both his sisters he won’t go help them meaning they lose their parents as well
but if he goes he won’t be with Sylphy when she gives birth as well as the first 2 years of his child’s life and child birth isn’t easy to go through nor what comes after he’ll most likely hate himself that he’ll miss those moments

@GirthCheck it's that, but also a warning from a supposed God that you'd be happier if you didn't go and that you'll regret going. There's also the potential that you die on the journey or that the message was sent in error sonce geese sent it and they might be on their way back while you're on your way down, so you're missing out on years of family time for nothing. Or maybe someone attacks your family while you're out or your wife dies in childbirth. There's a lot of bad potential that can fit into "you will regret it." :/
