@PsyQuake this was a bit controversial bro.. so this is good to watch when you get a feel of how to grade or gauge or judge.. but this is indeed a good watch
I thought you wouldn't react to more beatbox lol I'm glad you are tho. Inkie vs Beatness is a classic as well as NME vs Inkie. Beatbox community is a rabbit hole dude, there is a lot of great amazing content, and this coming month the loopstation battles for GBB 2021 are coming, which will be just insane. Also the beatbox community is always nice and friendly. Hope to see more reactions like this, brother, cheers!
Most of the beatboxers are friendly over competitive, not as in they won't try to get in each others faces, but more so when they realise that they're likely to win/lose they will not be afraid to cheer for their opponent. Also mb14 has always seemed a more "old-school" type of loop artist, as in he'd let his beat boxing do most of the work and use the station to stitch it together, while artists like Saro, NME, Brez, well most of the loopers nowadays try to use the equipment over their beatboxing.
Do you expect a music producer who focuses on death metal music to know a classic country song? I dont know why you would be disappointed at that. He sticks mainly to the rap genre.
Yes please Joey! This is a very good showcase of what a great vocal looper is about (minimum effects, the machine is just for the looping and mixing). Some people like DJ looping more, with more machine interference (transposing, slicing etc), and it is totally respectable. I like melodic routines more.
Fun facts: Saro has never been defeated in a loopstation beatbox battle. MB14 was second place in the Voice France 2017 You should check out some of these videos: 1) King Inertia vs Helium 2) D-Low vs B-art 3) Bataco vs Codfish 4) Alexinho vs Two.H 5) Gene Shinozaki GBB-21 elimination 6) Top 10 drops GBB-19 loopstation 7) Inkie GBB-19 compilation 8) Rythmind Gbb-19 compilation 9) SO-SO vs Beatness 10) NME vs Saro
12:27 It’s in 6/8. Which is basically 3/4 but the feel of this song counts “1 2 3 4 5 6” and the pulse is on 1 and 4. And yes it’s a cover of System of a Down. Awesome band.
15:40 you can do that with the loopstation but this part is just him beatboxing. That’s the tricky thing about loopstation lol if you’re unfamiliar you can’t tell what’s the machine effects and what is from the voice
with beatbox, attack on titan and your well-spoken, insughtful commentary you got me absolutely hooked on your channel man. That out of the way, here's some explanations to some of the questions that came up during the video: In Saro's 1st round, he got the metronome kind of sound by recording the sound of his first button press. As for improvising: both in normal beatboxing and in Loopstation, their pieces are for the most part pre-rehearsed hundreds of times to be able to do them to perfection, Saro's pieces even have titles, just like normal songs. Obviously rebuttals and counters are made up on the spot, but these don't tend to happen much in Loopstation, as they fill out the entirety of the available time with their songs, with little to no time to spare, they happen more so in regular beatboxing. MB14 improvised because he apparently fucked up something of his piece in the second round, which, aside from afroman, the first track was Toxicity by System Of A Down, a rock classic.
To add to your already great explanation I just wanna clarify that yeah improvised stuff is way more usual on regular beatboxing and afaik basically non-existent in loopstation, because it's just too complex to make something on the spot and you can't afford to mess it up
Both are legends in the game. I love how they both focus on the smallest of details in their entire music piece, it's not just about the drop, it's about every single step. Building up, and building it back down is done perfectly.
NME vs Brez GBB 2019 is a fantastic battle if you're looking for another one. The loop scene evolved so much from 2017 it's incredible! Looks like you gained a new subscriber Lol
Best part is practically nobody expected Saro to bring it this hard here he was defo a little underestimated which just made it so much more 🔥 Great reaction btw man ✌️😁
That pattern of fast hit-hats in saro's second round is not coming from an effect he did with his mouth ahahah! Love your reactions from your point of view as a producer!
Pls keep on doing these, love these videos so much, I think you would really like Brez vs NME 2019 gbb 2019 loopstation. Brez takes a more rap approach which you would dig, and NME is just insane.
This is one of loopstations greatest battles for sure but for the most hype round you have to watch Saro vs. Tioneb. You would love Tioneb's style for sure!
Saro made the first sound by tapping one of the buttons on the loopstation and recording it Also he has won every one of his battles by unanimous decision, except for one battle he won 4 votes to 1 vote against him. The guy is a loopstation magician fr
these two are literally top 3 with inkie in loopstation in the current era of loop station for me. i think one that you need to react to is Grand Beatbox LOOPSTATION Battle '15 | 1/4 Final. Penkyx is probably the best out of the early 2010 era of beatboxing. Probably one of the craziest and best drops of all of loopstation
It really is a preference thing I guess, I appreciate that Inkie is talented at music production but I don’t care for loopers that manipulate the sounds beyond recognition. I just think it kinda goes against the heart and soul of beatbox. But it’s also really hard to draw the line.
I don't understand the love for Inkie - what should I watch beyond his battle vs NME? I think it's a musical taste thing and I haven't dug his style in the songs I've heard
I've got a whole bunch of options for you to check out bro. These are some of my favorites and some are also widely regarded as some of the top battles ever. These will blow your mind Saro vs NME Beatness vs inkie Brez vs NME Rythmind vs NME MB14 vs Slizzer Rythmind vs So-so Jarno Ibarra vs Oxbox

15:19 while you are correct that you can do that on the loopstation, here Saro doesn't use those, those are simple sounds done naturally by Saro in quick succession
I want to see you react to the MB14 | La Cup Worldwide Showcase 2018 video. Most people like other musicians, professional singer and such all were jaw dropped.
Saros bubble noise is just a sped up phaser you mentioned the same track had a phaser earlier, also the length you leave the track recording is how long it will play for, for mb14s cut off effect he sings as he cuts his recording. In saying that, if you push the button twice within a second you can make 64th notes, however saro did his 64th notes by rolling his tongue
you need to rect to Mb14 la cup showcase.. it is the greatest loop station video ever.. it is simply amazing.. it blows everything you have seen out of the water
Glad you reacted to more loopstation man. Try reacting to SARO's battles and then NME's battles then lastly, RHYTHMIND's battles or their compilations man. I promise they be lit
there's no setting on the RC-505 to quantise your notes automatically (as far as i know), so all the 64th notes and 16th notes you're hearing from any looper really is purely recorded live and timed manually
Probably an underrated battle by the community, but my second all time fav loopstation battle is NME vs Inkie 2019. Super dope beats from both in both rounds. HIGHLY recommend watching this next.

Joey, you can watch the battle saro vs. Nme( it's looptation), also you can watch river vs. FootboxG and king inertia vs. Hileum. You will be surprised
I don't usually comment on these types of videos but I think I have a pretty good suggestion on what beatbox you should react to next it's (Audical GBB 2019 solo elimination)

Waiting for AOT reaction
@PsyQuake this was a bit controversial bro.. so this is good to watch when you get a feel of how to grade or gauge or judge.. but this is indeed a good watch
Absolutely recommend NME vs Saro after this, the level steps up again!

The team battle with MB14 and Saro is probably the best thing ever
@@BkxLounge Love that one
and saro vs inkie next it is extremly good aswell
Just came to the comments to recommend this!
mb14 and saro are basically the newton and einstein of loopstation.
i love your comparison dudee

Inkie would be like Nikola Tesla
Can't forget NME
mb14 and saro gave birth to rythmind

I'm disappointed that you're a music producer and you don't know the song 'Toxicity' 😂 12:52

System of a down was a bop back in the day.

What I can recommend is mb14´s loopstation performance at LA-Cup. This dude is actually build different :D

Mb14 performed on the voice France twice, with his loop
15:35 well there is a trick using a slicer effect to create hi hat or shaker but saro creates it just with normal beatbox
thank you yes, didn't see anyone else talking about this and it did need mentioned lmao
