Can you do a King inertia compilation 2021 reaction please
They recording before making a sound bruh, that's actually art they not hand sync
you have to react to the loopstation of Saro compilation he's a beast.
Yo joey i know u like KDA and here's some recommendations for you, its nearly as good as KDA song th-cam.com/video/stmZAThUl64/w-d-xo.html try to listen to it
@@ianone1294 yea i think he got that part lol
If you watch a full loop station battle, you’ll see them recording the sounds before the actual drops. They record separate loops live, usually with some effects on top, and together they form the tracks you see in this compilation. Every sound you hear originally came from the beatboxer within the 3 minutes they get. They don’t have any sounds pre-recorded.
Yes Sir
That‘s right, but they only have 3 minutes 😁
@@Jaime0197 thanks, idk how I missed that haha
@@sami6911 no problem mate 😄👍🏼
he should watch saro vs nb14
that one is the best intro
Uhm hey there. Rythmind was actually slapping his microphone. It was not hand-synced.
You mean hand synced. yea 😂
He hit the mic to get the sound WHILE recording that loop which is why it kept going after he did the first bar to keep that same bar looping
@@salomonreyes1875 Ehm firstly that has nothing to do with my comment. Secondly... I know... I watch loop since 2018 as well as beatbox in general...
@@Lusor_Caterpillar pretty sure he was replying to the other guy lol
@@pundah7084 lol not sure xD
6:25 he is actually smashing the mic to make the sound, but he recorded it, that is why it keeps playing after he stops smashing it
yup
glad you explain this
he makes it with him hitting the mic then he loops it
yea as you can see he pushed 3 trash he pushed 2 tracks that had something in it and one was empty
I guess watching a full battle would clear up some misunderstandings. MB14 vs SARO is great or BREZ (the rapper) vs NME
And yes they do be making all the sounds live and by themselves. The mic slap was also real
Definately, Saro is a legend! He also shows very well how he builds up his sounds with the loopstation.

every sound is made by mouth (or hand altough it is very rare) and this is the art of sound engineering live. they make and loop everything at the moment and have control over the track. beatboxers could do most simple thing like a single kick in the mic and it comes out as the most insane melody you have ever heard. so the mic hitting you heard from rythmind was actually making that sound but the reason that after the 8th bar he didnt hit the mic again was because he looped it in the device and didnt need to do it again.
داداش تو هنو زنده ای😓
چرا اینجا هم دارم ایرانی میبینم ناموسن
"They make and loop everything at the moment" *coughs in 909 clap rythmind*
For context, every single sound here was made by the beatboxers, but most with exception to drums are altered using reverb or other kinds of effects. When Rythmind slapped the mic, that sounds coming out was the raw sound of him slapping it, he wasn’t “lip syncing” his sound, he was making the sound and then looping it. The beatboxers start with making some sounds into the mic then they alter some of the other sounds to make bass or synths and then they record the sounds they made using a loop. When they loop something, it just keeps looping. Also no, pre recorded sounds are illegal in this competition. Inkie (the one with the ring and dark jacket) was accused of pre-recording songs and lost the semi-finals because of it. The reason they thought he was cheating was because of his second device that they didn’t understand at the time. So all the changing in sounds and tempos is ALL THEM
In the end did Inkie cheat or was he unfairly accused?
@@Heracles.J No Inkie did not cheat and currently he judged the competition
In headshot rythmind used the metronome beat as i've heard
Rythmind vs Balance - Rythmind hitting the microphone was the actual sound. He didn't hand-sync like you said in your words. He recorded it to the loop after he did it to the first time for the remaining drops. Just to clear it up.
Yeah he made the sound by hitting the mic to make the original pattern and then looped it right after.
I came to say this. Good work!
I'm sure plenty of people will fill you in on this, but yes, everything in these loopstation videos are 100% live, and everything originates from their mouth. The Loopstation itself just has input fx (that you can put on your voice as you are making sounds) and then track fx that you can enable for the 5 tracks that can be recorded into. Some Loopstation artists also use second devices like midi controllers and such. The reason why (to my knowledge) is basically to circumvent some of the limitations of the Loopstation or to essentially use the second device as a shortcut to parts of the Loopstation that would otherwise take longer to get to. So much fire shit with these loopstation videos though. I feel like you would really benefit from watching some of the battles, because there, you get to see the preparation process on top of just the drops. The machine itself is called the BOSS RC-505 Loopstation if you feel like looking into it. Anyways, keep up the great content! Staying lucky atm🍀
I'm actually so upset rn… I wrote a multi-paragraph reply, went over to Safari for just a second, came back and the TH-cam app had crashed, deleting everything I had typed 😩
I remember saying that MIDI is completely separate from a second device. You are correct about what MIDI is used for in loop, but what defines an extra device is almost always the addition of audio effects not present in the 505 (or mkII)… these are devices such as the TC Helicon & Helix Line6. For most competitions, you can use: what is almost always the BOSS RC-505/mkII, an approved second device, as well as any agreed-upon MIDI controllers for either of those devices. This often causes some confusion, and some ignorant people in the comments accusing loopers of cheating by using a “third device.”
@@EclipseBeatbox MAN that's tough. But ohhh okay that's good to know, thanks for the explanation!
I knew joey wasn't ready for rythmind's 2nd drop...and yes he did use his hands yo create that sound...if u watch every full battle you'll see them record and setup the beats.
He used the mic cord
He did indeed hit the microphone with his hands yes.
3:40 Yes, He used granular delay... You can use granular delay in Boss RC 505 And you can then use any sounds like kick or snare and it will produce a constant note....
6:55 He wasn't lip syncing.. He actually used the same granular delay I mentioned above... The first two bars, he recorded it and then looped it
10:00 No bud.. It's actually against the rules to do so.. You should watch a full loopstation battle.. They do all those live
21:40 It was not inward voice.. It was just his voice with modulators on the MPC
And btw mahn.. Love your reactions.. And I'm not slamming you or anything.. You thinking they are prerecorded itself is a big win.. It's that good.. You should react to full battles and you'll see that they make everything live... Cheers mate
I've never done looping before, neither have I watched any tutorial on loopstations, but I've watched beatbox for many years now so this is just what I can gather:
- The most common main piece of equipment that a lot of loopers use is the Boss RC-505. I don't know if you know of it, but that's what it is. I believe they are also allowed to bring and attach additional equipment, but I have no idea about the limitations.
- Like you have guessed, the sounds can be modulated/manipulated to make it sound more electronic, but the base sound of every everything coming from the machine is made straight from the beatboxers' mouths. That includes all the percussion, synths, basses, growls, impacts, everything.
- Every single sound you hear is recorded into the loopstation live on stage. That means to get all those electronic sounds, all the EQ, compression, distortion, modulation, phasing, delays are all also done live right on the spot. Pre-recorded sounds are not allowed. I believe they are able to store presets into the machines though, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
- 6:50 that sound does indeed come from hitting the mic, it's just heavily effected to make it sound the way that it did. A French looper named Saro also used that same technique the previous year.
12:20 i love how he lost himself at SO-SO's drop even though he said before the drop that it would be only "so so" 😂
He said it would be more than soso
@@Cyphule oh i didnt hear that clearly damn ty for that
You should watch a whole battle to understand how they make it, they start it from scratch, everything is done then and there and nothing is pre recorded. The loopstation has 5 different loop tracks, there are various delays they use to get the synthesized sounds(granular delay, vinyl flick, etc) and there are effects for input and output sounds. So, the mic smash one you though was done before was actually done at that very moment by smashing the mic.
I would suggest you to watch Frosty vs Robin or Saro vs Tioneb to understand the Loopstation well. You will get to see the melodic/simple and EDM styles in the same battle.
7:00 he actually made the sound with the hand no ^^handsync^^
6:31 i might be wrong but i'm pretty sure that he used some kind of settings on the recording mic of the loopstation so that when he was hitting the mic it would do this sound (then he just added it in the loop) You don't see everything in videos like this but almost every beatboxers in this video do this !
10:05 Oh and since they don't show you the whole performance, you're not seing the part where they record every sound they need before they modify them
all the sound are made on stage and come from the artist mouth. they get to use input effects on their microphone that change pitch and texture of the sound and then loop it live. they can also use the device to sometimes alter the sounds further with filters, beat repeaters and more.
Nothing is prerecorded. Everything is LIVE! And yes, they use effects on their sounds, but the inputs are all from their mouth (or hands in Rythminds case lol, he actually hit the mic and made the sound that way, like you guessed at first!)
All the sounds, well, most, with the exception of some people choosing to straight up slap their microphone or other shenanigans, stem from their voice/mouth. Then they can choose to manipulate those sounds with effects on their devices. Nothing is pre-made ahead of time, everything is started from scratch on the timer of the round (obviously rehearsed hundeds of times before though).
SO-SO is exactly what you said. Different. He is so unique to his own sounds thats why hes a crowd favorite.
I just want to say please put "Saro vs MB14 - GBB Loopstation Semi-final 2017" in your reaction list man. A must-watch video!!
This!!!
Huge respect for the beatbox skill share part, respect to you man.
I HIGHLY recommend the SBX KickBack Battle - Robin VS. KBA!!!!!!! The best Loop Battle I´ve ever seen
Bruh i just want to let ya know your reactions to bbx videos are simply extraordinary. You re such a cool dude. Please keep sharing this art with us, you re special yooo
None of these sounds are pre-recorded. All inputs have to be put in during the round. The Rhythmind hand slap was done there and then, he just looped it afterwards. As you see more with extra devices there are more and more modulations that can be done, but especially for Brez and Rhythmind which you were impressed with they only use one device
Actually Rythmind @6:25
is making the sound out of his hand hitting the mic. that was not syncing anything with the hit. then he made it loop.
Even Saro did that in a battle when he was making the Billie jean song
*_Hell yeah! more beatboxing!_* Loving this beatbox reaction series. Keep up the good videos!
seeing your first reactions to loopstation and you trying to figure it out is so great and fun to watch XD Loopstation battles are a rabbit hole you should really jump down they are so fun, cool, and unique. I think you have only scratched the surface for the appreciation of how good these artists really are.
It's always so sick when we get to tell the reactor that basically everything is live. The parts where rythmind hits the mic for those feedback sounds. That actually happened.
They make EVERYTHING on stage LIVE. Watch some of those videso and youll figure it out
Defenately check the NME VS Rythmind.
16:27 when u said bruh u don't stand a chance against So-So, u don't realise that he did stand a chance against him, he actually annihilated So-So and won the whole competition that year.
Yep
You need to see a full battle to watch them build up the beats. Yes the loop-station has some basic effects they can use like reverb and robot (what Brez used on some of his sounds) but all of the sounds first have to be made naturally by the beatboxer live on-stage. Doing anything else breaks the rules and disqualifies you from the competition.
I recommend reacting to the most legendary loopstation battle of all time: MB14 vs Saro. You’ll also get to see two very different styles of looping, one mostly uses natural beatbox sounds and vocals while the other uses lots of sound effects and manipulation of the raw sounds he makes. Both of them are best in the world for their respective styles.
If you want to see some absolutely insane looping freestyle (probably not 100% freestyled) on stage, I recommend reacting to Beardymans judging showcase at gbb 2019!
Trust me, definitely worth watching it, that will blow your mind!
Everything is live but:
Sound -> Loopstation -> Filters/Effects/Modifications -> Speakers
MB14 is one of the few people who primarily used unmodified beatbox sounds but all sounds are made live. They just push the machine's abilities to make their beatbox sounds sound like- well not like human beatbox.
Hey Joey for number 8. Rythmind, he is hitting the mic to make that sound he just recorded it and looped it
Loopstation battles use loopstations that tend to only change pitch and speed with some other effects, but some loopers bring second devices which allow for additional effects. Its basically producing except all the samples come from their mouths
That machine's call RC-505 by Rolland. Many people calls it Loopstation. So many apps and editing on that station . You just record and playing with the apps in it.
Not a single sound that you hear in the routines are pre made they are all created live. The only thing that is made beforehand is ofcourse the track itself but they are not allowed to record any sound beforehand
Bro you gotta react to some of these battles entirely. It would help clear up so much and I think you would appreciate them even more.
My bro, everything is recorded live, I'd defo recommend you to watch the whole loopstation battles just to get an idea of how the sounds are inserted into the machine, and how they are modified according to the looper's style, It would surely give all the answers you needed in this video, keep up with the energy G 🔥🔥🔥🔥
just a short explanation of loopstation:
All the sounds you hear are voice triggered. They have different effects to create different textures and alter pitches but they all come from the loopers voice (except in rythminds case when he hit the microphone with his hand Lol ).
The loopstation they use is the boss rc 505 loopstation and they are permitted to use one extra device if they wish.
Nothing is prerecorded.
Hope this answers any/all of your questions and I hope you react to more loopstation! :) (I recommend NME vs Brez 2019 GBB)
Alot of people are suggesting full battles which is great. But I actually recommend you watch Wildcard Winner compelations if you want to see something extraordinary. The wildcards are good audio and even though you lose the hype from the crowds, your able to pick up alot of the sounds they use and how they structure their beats so well
P. S - I hope you get some So-So merch 😂
All the sounds are coming from the beatboxers and they don’t pre record them before the event, however you can edit the sounds you make to make them sound inhuman, this is only with loopstation.
6:40 NO HE WAS!!! It wasn’t lip sync he made it live that’s why you didn’t hear it before
Rythmind is actually making that sound with his hands
You need to watch "SARO Grand Beatbox LOOPSTATION Battle 2017 FINAL & SEMI FINAL" that guys sets are insane, the last 2 are so good especially.
none of this is pre-made ahead of time, it's all done on stage live and watching it from the start of the sets you see them making the sounds and looping them together before it all comes together.
He actually did make the mic slap make that noise with a distortion on top of it, and then looped it so he didn't have to keep doing it over and over
Yessssss I love how into this you’re getting
u should check out mb14 vs saro from 2017, it’s the most watched video on their channel and it’s a good example of someone who doesn’t really use any sound effects vs someone who does
YEEESS!!! My favorite loopstation battle ever.
6:46
it is what you thought
him hitting the mic was creating that sound, after hitting it for one round, he looped it, so it kept playing
he had a filter which made him hitting the mic sound like that
At 6:23 that sound is actually coming from him slapping the mic. He wasn't lip syncing/mic syncing
6:58 Nope you were actually right at first lol, he had some autotune + synth effect on the loopstation which made a note whenever he hit the mic, then he looped that sound so that’s why he didn’t need to continue doing it
When the live sound effects are so good even the music producer thinks they are prerecorded 😂
The devices they use is called an rc 505, every noise that comes from it comes from the input. You have 5 tracks you can record multiple layers over for any unspecified amount of time. The only thing making it sound synthetic is after effects you can use from the device, like reverb or tempo or you can make a track a vocoder track and it goes in tune with your voice etc. Everything is man made though aside from that
Hey Joey!! I knew you would love this top 10, just so you know, all the sounds and the mixing is made on stage, nothing is pre-made or pre-produced and they just use their voice and beatbox to build the sounds, and the effects are made by the RC 505 loopstation. Maybe you should check a whole battle and you would have a better understanding of what's going on. I have seen people recomind MB14 vs Saro, that's a good one, Inkie vs Beatbess is a personal favorite. Great reaction brother, hopefully you do more of these, cheers!!
It wasn't hand sinking rythmind was really doing it 😂😂
You’re gonna love this years when it releases!!
You should watch the full battles so that you'll see how they make those sounds and drops
if you really like so-so, he has a 2019 compilation of just his loop beats
Yo Joey! Watch the 2017 GBB Final between Saro and Tioneb, there you can See Rythmind standing right in front of the Judges Table in the Audience while Saro Uses the exact same Technique with Slapping the Microphone while a distortion/Override effect is laid over the input signal. I guess that was the Moment where he got the Idea to use it Himself the next year. Keep up your great videos.
9:25 bro u have me dead with "damn kiss the ring b****" I was laughing for like a good minute 😂 🤣 😭
So the device that they are using is the Boss Rc-505 and the rules of the grand beatbox battle loopstation category are that every sound has to be created live so no prerecording and everything you here was done by mouth although you have 3 different Effects channels for input and 3 for output where you can activate various effects like reverb, granular delay, guitar to bass, flanger, beat scatter, Robot, and Vocoder and many more but the rules state that every sound has to be created by mouth in addition to the effects. And the songs are coreographed so there are only very few where they improvised the whole thing but it takes an insane amount of skill to controll every effect at the same time while beatboxing and hitting notes and harmonies
at 6:50 when rythmind hits his mic, he actually was recording the sound with the mic. It wasn't synced. He had a setting on the loop station that caused the feedback you were hearing to sound electronic.
You should know : The RC 505 Loopstation from BOSS is a 5 Channel looper with around 12 Effects on the input and around 16 effects in the output and you can layer as many takes you want on one channel. also you can activate 3 effects on input and output simultaneously. You do not have a keyboard, but if you are very quick in setting up the effect parameters you can use them to make different sounds out of the recorded loops. That is the big challenge for the artist to get out as much out of the Loopstation in the given time.
You should watch a full battle video where you can see how they build up the recordings before they do the drops.
Sooooooo, when he is recording sounds on his loopstation he can use effects like robot or reverb. Then when he has recorded all what he need for his drop he use track efects for the drop. The efects can change everything you want on your recorded track. So the notes what rythmind doing come from a delay or panning delay and there you can change the tempo from a hihat or a kick to miliseconds like 1 2 or 20.
I hope this helps you and have nice reacts in future...
I can recommend Frosty vs Rythmind gbb 21 :)
P. S. I like your music :))))))))))
You have to watch the actual battles man its more amazing to see the full executions with the given time of each beatboxers
Dude Tag Team beatbox compilation 2021 is so good. Please watch that
You have the best energy thanku so much joey ..im always amazed at such talent ..incredible much love and God bless always x
Stop trolling us with the whole last beatboxing video. we know you love it
In loopstation the artists beatbox the sounds and they loop it with the pads. Every sound has to come from them but they’re allowed to change the sounds using eq and other things while performing after they recorded the sounds
No he’s really making that sound with his hand.
Edit: Saro actually uses the sound of hitting the record button in one of his beats to start the kick drum in the loop.
Edit: nothings premeditated. All live all by them. Just edited live.
6:25 what you witnessed here was NOT a "hand-sync" of the sound, he RECORDED the mic smacking sounds then and there in the drop and then it went into a loop. FYI Rhythmind was not the first one to use it. If I remember correctly he got inspired from SARO during his battle against TIONEB (highly recommended battle to watch btw)
Soso is that one kid who joins your team randomly and destroys the whole game.
when Rythmind was hitting the mic it was making that sound but he looped it so that it can play while he adds more sounds.
JoeyNato to correct you, during the first rhythmind round you listened to, rhythmind slapping the mic actually made that sound using the filter granular delay. And he just recorded it during the drop and it looped again.
So loopstation, they use special equipment (idk the names or specifics) but they actually record the beats/noises themselves, they adjust pitches, frequency's, timings and everything to make the finished products you watched
You reacting to these are so entertaining
Pre-recording isn't allowed. You make everything scratch, on stage.
A battle video instead of a compilation would give you much needed explanation.
I really recommend MB14 vs Saro which basically is "the classic".
i LOVE how joey just asks so-so for merch 😁 you a real one!!
He really did that with the mic and his hand with the settings then looped it. shits dope
They save presets to each track they perform but build it all from scratch, so no pre-recorded sounds are allowed to use + they pretty much must be mouth triggered
You are gonna have to watch a loopstation battle to understand how the sounds are made etc. brez vs NME is my recommendation :)
When rythmind hits the mic, the mic is actually making that sound he just looped it to the loop station for it to keep playing
Sounds are recorded and then modulated mostly by granular delay, and they control the notes by modulating the feeback, that's why they sound like synths. The loopstation they're using has all the basic effects you need to create a song like EQ, compression etc.
So only the presets for effects are made beforehand. All of the actual sound inputs are done live (any sound that comes through). Basically, any sounds can be made live based on effects they established beforehand. Loopers can record and mix live, as well as manipulate tracks and track effects live based on predetermined rounds they prepared (so that they know what effects to add/remove/manipulate live)
King Inertia vs Helium. Best solo battle of GBB 2021 a few months ago, it is wild you should totally react to it!
bruh you HAVE to watch the full loopstation battles not just the drops so you can break down everything
Short answer: its all live ...
I pretty much always recommend watching the full battles instead of compilations, but loopstation especially, it will answer a lot of your questions.
I recommend MB14 vs Saro. It will give a good insight and it's a fcking banger
most "notes" are granular delay with 100% feedback (RC-505 Loopstation setting). Every sound must be started by the mouth.
They tune their voice with that thing, and everything what is happening is just in time not ahead of time, not after the time it's just full of tunning, looping and something like that. I want you to react on the beatbox kickback battle 2021 loopstation category !
Hitting the mic was not a prerecorded sound instead it was live.
Every sound saves in a loop.
Then they just set their own saved loop in different rpm and high-low pitch.
Great reaction vid bro, these loopers are talented AF. They need more attention brought to them...Toodles my Gee
6:30 lmao, it's not that he timed the notes to come, he made them by hitting the mic and apply filter, and because it's a loop station, it keeps playing that sound until he stops it
at 6:50 this was actually the hand on the mic making the sound, which he put effects on and looped. My favourite drop in loop that year
In 6:44 he didnt had you a fool, you were right ! He uses some plugins which make the mic slaps sound like notes, nice observation you had there !
We need more of you reacting to these loop battles!
React to some of the battles so you can see the whole process of them marking the beat. Definitely worth the watch.
we need more of these beatbox reactions!!!
100% live. Effects are added but they are added live as well. So there is simply a blank loopstation in front of them at the start of every round
6:55 nope, he was making the sound live with slapping the mic and recorded it into a loop track. the effects he was using was a granular delay and reverb forsure, and likely a vocal distortion.
The guy that hit is microphone (Rythmind) actually recorded the sound live in the drop.Lip synced action is not allowed in that tournament (gbb)Every sound is generated with delays or voice effects.
