also a note about the combo: wait a couple frames after landing b1 to input b2f4 and input b2f4 b24 (mash 2 after b2f4) as fast as possible. it'll make qcb1 land way more consistently. it also seems to drop more if you do b1 up close
Bryan is fun to learn but very hard to master. Soccer kick is a great low mixup that always sneaks a good hit. Also mix it up with mach movies to switch from low to mid. It took for forever to get good with the down back roll for soccer kick but it gets to a point you can throw em on demand
For CH QCB1 combos you can do b2, f4 > b2,4 > dash > 1 > b3~f2,1 for wall carry and 71dmg or f2,2 for 72 dmg and oki. The dash after b2,4 seems tight but in fact you have plenty of time to dash jab. Hope that helps ^^
Great video! Love the notations and easy variations, and the fact that you show these combos work on small chars. Quick Note about QCB4 combo and other combos ending with B3~F2,1 for new Bryans: If the 1 seems to inconsistently connect, you may not be dashing far in enough, doing back 3 too quickly, or you are pressing 2,1 too quickly after starting the slither step. This is something I had to work around when I started learning Bryan just last year at Tekken 7's sunset season. If wall carry isn't a concern, then 2,2 seems to more consistently connect with a tinge more damage (tho im not an expert)
Thank you a ton for making this cool combos available for us people with the inputs who don't have time to do all this but you are so much appreciated you earned a new sub
Amazing stuff, I’ve been getting prepared for tekken 8 by playing tekken 7 (last time I played tekken extensively was Tekken 5). Your notations are helpful, it’s helping me ramp up my gameplay
Wow, thanks for the guide and also including rotations. It really helps new players a lot. Otherwise I can't tell which move is which, especially if it's a move that I didn't use.
Love the combos, man! Great stuff here. However, like others have mentioned, it's quite tough to dash then go b2. I have yet to try the other combos but for the WS1 (Easy Version) at 0:11, instead of doing a dash, you can time it right to just go b2,1 f2,2 In the current version of the game, it deals a pretty good damage total of 72 (1 point higher than the combo shown in the video.
Hey man, You are definitely right with the analysis and I like that you tried to find something yourself. Appreciate the work! But I still would rather go for the f2,1 or f2,4 ender route: -> f2,1 because it gives you more wall carry and preferably a high wallsplat, which you can then combo further for around 100ish damage plus Wall OKI. -> f2,4 because it basically does what f2,1 does with a little bit less wall carry, but it grants you access to Snake Eyes. If you struggle very hard to connect f2,1 or f2,4. I would advise you to just drop the b2,1 and go for b3, like this b3~f2,1 or b3~f2,4. f2,2 becomes very interesting on infinite stages (stages without walls) or when you are sure you won't reach the wall and want as much damage as possible. It's good to have people like you exploring new stuff and pushing the boundaries! Keep it up and good luck practicing!
Thanks for taking the time to explain! You clearly are dedicated to learning the game and teaching others. You have earned my sub for sure. Looking forward to your future videos!
Bryan is one of my go to characters cause hes so much fun! I gotta learn some of these combos for sure! Ive been using the d3,2 ender for too long XD this video is gonna help me a ton!!
Awesome video thanks so much. Just a note on the F3 counter hit combo. Unless I'm doing it wrong in practice mode it seems if you are too close to female characters after the F3 counter hit the B2,4 will not connect, but it seems to work on male characters at any range. Thanks again for the vid.
Awesome analysis, man! Just recently, I also realized that especially this Route dropped a lot and you just perfectly described when it happens. That is also why I dropped this particular Route entirely and only go for either the Easy Route or: f3 > ssr > qcf3,4 > d3+4,2 > Dash > b3~f2,4. Max Damage (would use this when I'm sure I won't reach the Wall) f3 > ssr > qcf3,4 > MicroDash > 2 (or use 1) > b3~f2,4 > Dash > b3~f2,1. This for getting Snake Eyes out early for better adaptation mid combo and good Wall Carry. What I like about these two Variations is they start off very similar and make it easier for you to not mess it up, because they give you enough time to decide in the middle of the combo which Route suits you best. I appreciate your help with identifying the problem! It's good to have people like you exploring this stuff with us!
Sure man, im glad that i could be of help and yeah it seems i forgot to include it :P For optimal damage (43 dmg), and best wall carry, I would go for : LowParry > b2,4 > dash > 1 > b2,1~f2,4. And for the easy route with a bit less damage (40 dmg) and similar wall carry, I would advise you to go for : LowParry > 1+2,1 > 2 > b2,1~f2,4. (You have to input the b2 pretty fast here) If you seem to be dropping b2,1 in the easy route, go for 1 instead like this : LowParry > 1+2,1 > 1 > b2,1~f2,4. It gives you 38 damage in total, so you lose -2 on damage but consistency goes over +2 more damage in my opinion! Good luck practicing!
The main problem with not getting b2 and instead getting JU is, that you either press b2 at the same time or you don't leave enough time between the forward dash and the back input. When you start dashing onto your opponent after the screw, I would recommend you to hold back and press 2 just a tiny bit later. After a few times, you will find a sweet spot where you always get a b2 instead of a jet upper. I'm guessing this Works, cause the game interprets it as f,n,b,n,2 which is not equal to JU: f,n,b2. And if you still land too many misinputted JUs, try to leave a bit of room between your forward and back 2 input. My guess here is, that if you go for b2 too fast, it registers as JU: f,n,b2. But if you leave enough time in between, it might register it as f,n,n,b2 and thus it will not become a JU. Try both methods and choose which one you feel more comfortable with. Who knows you might even combine them. For me, it always worked to just hold forward long enough and then after holding it for a certain amount of time, I could just immediately go for b2 without even delaying the 2. I hope this helps you out!
Interesting, when starting combo with a heat dash the opponent floats slower and more near to you. Allowing for an example easy double knee combos into screw etc.
I've had my issues with this too until I discovered a way that works for me. After the screw, try to hold the last forward input from your dash, like f > f (hold). This will put you in a while running state, allowing you to dash very deeply. If the screw is very short-ranged and you can't dash any longer, just continue holding the forward button. Even if your character stops in front of the opponent, wait around half a second for the game to no longer recognize it as a forward-tap input. Then, you should be able to easily input b2,1. Would be cool to know if this helped you out!
Amazing video. Question, during some of Brian’s combos that you do right after a launcher he does this ghost taunt to power himself up and it doesn’t always come out. Is there a timing involved with that?
When Bryan performs his full taunt animation, he gains access to Snake Eyes. For example, moves like UF3+4 will trigger Snake Eyes on hit. Snake eyes grants Bryan new moves like 3+4,2. However, if Snake Eyes is already active, Bryan won't perform the taunt animation again on UF3+4.
2:20 i found an alternative to the EASY b1 ch combo! b1 -> b2,1,4 -> dash -> b2,1,2,4 1. it gives you snake eyes. 2. i THINK this one is easier, at least for me. 3. But it's 1 less damage than the easy b1 ch combo in this video. 4. I'm lowkey pumped because I've never been a part of a fighting game release. So finding stuff out like this is a first for me and it's making me so hyped to be a part of this all
That is actually a valid Combo route you found there man! If you feel comfortable going for that Route, then go for it! In my opinion consistency goes over damage, especially when its just +/- 1. But be aware, the reason why I'm using b2,1~f2,4 at the start after b1 is to gain snake eyes as soon as possible while Comboing. This way you can adapt easier to closer walls and have your snake eyes out for optimized damage or mixups at the Wall, cause for Example: Lets say you are pretty close to a wall, you do b1 > b2,1,4 and "wallsplat", your opponent reached the wall and you can't Combo further to obtain snake eyes. Now if you go the Route mentioned in the video, you do b2,1~f2,4 and "wallsplat", your opponent reached the wall and you have snake eyes. I just wanted to clarify that the earlier you get your snake eyes out mid Combo the better. Thus you could try out this Route: B1 > b2,1~f2,4 > dash > b3~f2,1. This might do less damage, but you are sure to get your snake eyes out as early as possible to adapt to Walls and the ender should be easier to connect. If you are sure to never reach the walls, then yours is definitely the better option though. It's great to have people like you trying out new stuff with us, it helps us unlock Bryan's full potential even faster!
@@LawFury holy moly, i never even considered the benefits of getting the snake eyes mid combo vs at the end. i love it. me considering never reaching the walls makes sense because i'm always practicing on the "infinite" stage haha (i'm gonna start practicing on the walled stages now too!). but your reasoning for mid snake eyes is great. thank you for the guide and the insight.
They still work, but they're tough to pull off I would say. You gotta dash first and then quickly input qcf3,4 to connect b2. It needs to happen very fast or else you'll miss the timing and b2 won't land because he'll already be too low.
I saw another video using 1+2, 1 during the juggle, are these routes more optimal than these? Just because im trying to figure out which set of combos to learn. (The guide is by hassan naruto of that helps)
Im not sure about what type of 1+2,1 combo routes you are talking about, but overall it all comes down to what you are trying to accomplish with the combo. There are 2 key factors that are important for combos "wall carry" and "damage". The Combos shown in my video, give you decent wall carry and max damage for now. If you want the maximum amount of wall carry possible you might try out your 1+2,1 combo route. I will make a dedicated video for wall carry maybe today or tomorrow tho!
This combo is very timing dependent, because bryan enters fairly long recovery frames after ws1. Meaning the game doesn't detect any input in this period of time. Thats why I advise you to try inputting qcf in a fast motion and try to do qcf3,4 very fast after ws1. If the move doesn't come out, it means you did input it way to early. if only 3 comes out, it means your qcf motion was in the recovery frame period and didnt get recognized by the game, but your 3 did afterwards. So with each attempt, try to stretch the timing a bit further when inputting qcf3,4 and eventually the move will come out. Goodluck practicing!
thanks for the video I had a quick question. I am having a problem with doing the double knees after the left upper launcher no matter how which way i do it. it is not coming out consistently.. i do while rising, down downforward right and it doesn't come out all the time. is there another way i should be doing it ?
I think you're having problems with his recovery frames. Recovery frames describe the animation after a move was active in which no input gets recognized from the game until that recovery frame is finished. Basically, when you do the input and it doesn't come out, it means that you inputted the move during its recovery frames. Which should mean that you need to wait a bit more until you do the input. And if you can't get the b2,1 to connect afterwards, it means you waited for too long to input and need to do it a bit earlier. Goodluck practicing!
in the very first combo how is it that you can run up and end it with b3,f~2,1 and the last hit doesnt whiff? Only way I can get this to work is if I ssr into dash before the b3.
I think I will make a video about this topic, explaining how to adapt your combos according to walls and other factors. Maybe, there could be something interesting for you too to pickup.
@@LawFury Ok, thank you :) I'll sub to your channel so I won't miss it ! EDIT: It's a channel dedicated to Bryan Fury ? Yep, it's definitely a channel for me ! It's the most badass character in any fighting game ! :D
For the qcb4 combo for some reason at the end of the combo I can’t get the 1 to connect on the back 3 forward 2,1 I think it’s the distance of my dash maybe idk
The main problem with not getting b2 and instead getting JU is, that you either press b2 at the same time or you don't leave enough time between the forward dash and the back input. Guys, i'm a new tekken player, i'm maining Kuma atm i think I am Dominator or the rank right below, how much harder is Bryan to learn than Kuma ? Knowing that I obviously don't master Kuma yet at all
It's a hard journey to learn Bryan man, but trust me there is no Character quite like him in my opinion. If it motivates you I also play with controller 😉 and try going for the easy Combo Routes they do enough damage.
You have to deep dash to the point where Bryan stops dashing basically. I recommend pressing forward > forward(hold) until Bryan stops in front of the screwed Character. Goodluck with your practice!
I dont understand, how do u guys do the b2,1 ender after the screw? Its just impossible for me to do, only jet upper comes out everytime since i input ff to dash and then b2..
If you are talking about qcf3,4 into b2 and your b2 doesn't connect, it means that you are inputting it too late. I know it might be challenging, but you have to try inputting it a bit earlier. Goodluck!
The trick lies in waiting half a second to a second before pressing b1, so the game doesn't register your forward input as part of the Jet Upper motion. Try dashing towards your opponent as quickly as possible to give yourself enough time to wait before inputting b1. I've explained this in detail in some other comments under this Video. For the most part, you could also just go for b3~f2,4 or b3~f2,1 as an alternative ender. It won't do as much damage and won't Wall Carry as much but it'll help you be consistent.
There are more routes that you can go for, Bryan is pretty versatile when it comes to that. You could extend the combo even further with heat burst or heat dashes. Just know that the Combo at (02:00) is probably the most optimized when it comes to damage and wall carry.
Im not sure why the 4 is not coming out for some of you guys. It could be cause you press 3,4 too fast after another. And b2,4 turning into JU is mostly cause you didn't leave enough time after letting go of forward. try waiting for half a second after letting go of forward and then inputting b2,1. If thats still not working for you just stick to b3~f2,1 or b3~f2,4 as ender. Good luck practicing!
Mostly when you Sidewalk someone that just whiffed a big string and at some point you'll reach his back. Or if your opponent entered a Backturned stance (For example Feng).
There is a tight window for inputting the knees after ws1, which can lead to b2,1 whiffing. If you're still having trouble, don't stress too much about it, just stick with the easier option for now. Good luck!
At high wallsplat, I typically opt for W! 1+2,1 > uf2,2,2,3. If you have Snake Eyes, I would recommend using the extended version W! 1+2,1 > uf2,2,2,2,2,3 for massive damage and good oki. However, be cautious because the 1 in 1+2,(1) can drop if your combo becomes too long, such as with wallbreak and high wall carry. Generally speaking, it's very consistent if you stick to standard routes with a high wallsplat. Another option I consider is b3~f3,4, delaying the last hit for more damage. These are the routes I find optimal for now.
It basically means that the second hit of B2,1 the (1) does launch your opponent. If b2,1 both hits connect, they are not true. Your opponent could get hit by b2 but he could block the upcoming 1 of b2,1. So B2(1) means that the combo starts when the 1 of the B2,1 connects and not when b2 connects.
I would say the most important thing is not to forget the neutral input between the forward and backward input. Other than that, I recommend practicing the execution in practice mode to improve your consistency.
@LawFury so they define neutral input as a slight pause,I can get jet uppercut pretty consistently in combos but I can't do it consistently enough as a combo starter. It's really bugging me since I never seen a neutral input pretty much ever
@@Ro-fw3lc The neutral input basically means releasing every button and then pressing b2. This usually happens so quickly that it's hard to notice the neutral input during the animation. If you're referring to seeing it in combo notations, it's typically represented as a star. I'm not sure what more I can tell you to help, man. A good way for me to practice clean Jet Uppers was doing sidestep > Jet Uppers. Try doing it u,u > f,n,b2. This way you will also build muscle memory to punish with Jet Upper after a sidestep. Good luck practicing!
@@issacgonzales9488 b2,4 won't work after b4 > ff2 or uf3 > ff2. But it should easily work for Counterhit 4,3,(f4) > ff2. I believe it only works on this route because the opponent is floating and not touching the ground when you connect ff2.
Thank you for the feedback! You're absolutely right, I must've forgotten to turn it off on some combos. I can imagine some people beeing confused when their damage numbers don't match up with mine, with Counterhit not activated. It's definitely my mistake and I'll try to be more cautious on that for my next videos. Thanks again for pointing it out!
Notation Mistake at (02:12) | B1 Combo
QCB2 should be QCB1!
Notation mistake at (0:25) | Jet Upper Combo
b2,2~f... should be b2,1~f...
And 3:12 the ender should be B3~F instead of B2~F
also a note about the combo: wait a couple frames after landing b1 to input b2f4 and input b2f4 b24 (mash 2 after b2f4) as fast as possible. it'll make qcb1 land way more consistently. it also seems to drop more if you do b1 up close
Thanks for correcting

A very good decision, i wish you goodluck learning them!
Bryan is fun to learn but very hard to master. Soccer kick is a great low mixup that always sneaks a good hit. Also mix it up with mach movies to switch from low to mid. It took for forever to get good with the down back roll for soccer kick but it gets to a point you can throw em on demand

Really curious how you go into back 2 after a dash without getting a jet upper??

The main problem with not getting b2 and instead getting JU is, that you either press b2 at the same time or you don't leave enough time between the forward dash and the back input.
When you start dashing onto your opponent after the screw, I would recommend you to hold back and press 2 just a tiny bit later. i found an alternative to the EASY b1 ch combo!
b1 -> b2,1,4 -> dash -> b2,1,2,4
1. it gives you snake eyes.
2. i THINK this one is easier, at least for me.
This way you can adapt easier to closer walls and have your snake eyes out for optimized damage or mixups at the Wall, cause for Example:
Lets say you are pretty close to a wall, you do b1 > b2,1,4 and "wallsplat", your opponent reached the wall and you can't Combo further to obtain snake eyes.
Now if you go the Route mentioned in the video, you do b2,1~f2,4 and "wallsplat", your opponent reached the wall and you have snake eyes.
I just wanted to clarify that the earlier you get your snake eyes out mid Combo the better. Thus you could try out this Route:
B1 > b2,1~f2,4 > dash > b3~f2,1.
Notation mistake at (0:25) the 2 in the middle should be a 1
True, thank you for telling!
I'll edit it into my pinned comment!
I wish i was this good😢,, i can do 60/70 tops
what did you use for the combo input images?
Nice
Do the dash ws34, b21~f combos still work in current patch? Cannot get the b2 to connect at all after JU, ws34 or ws1, ws34...
@LawFury no worries, I've been using these ones and they seem to be a lot better in most situations
When is the right time to do slither step 3, 4 after while rising 1? I try to do it early enough but it’s not working and i keep getting a regular 3
Goodluck practicing!
thanks for the video
I had a quick question.
I really appreciate the resources great video
cant hit the 2nd hit in f21 finisher in 1st combo. any tips?
edit: its micro dash before b3, didnt see it in inputs
fff3 after heat dash is really hard
in the very first combo how is it that you can run up and end it with b3,f~2,1 and the last hit doesnt whiff? Only way I can get this to work is if I ssr into dash before the b3.
It's mostly just a very deep dash. Either go very deep into b3~f2,1 and delay the f2,1 or do ssr before b3 as you already said. Goodluck!
@@LawFury Ahh alright I'll give it a try, thank you.
I wish stages were bigger... walls are always messing up the combos.
I think I will make a video about this topic, explaining how to adapt your combos according to walls and other factors. Maybe, there could be something interesting for you too to pickup.
@@LawFury Ok, thank you :)
I'll sub to your channel so I won't miss it !
You must probably dash even deeper.
Good luck practicing!
How do you do b+2,1 after dashing without getting Jet Upper as a misinput?
You forgot counterhit on on all of these combos :P
Yeah, I sadly forgot to turn them off. Sorry if it confused you!
Bro his launchers are so hard to get going
Why you dont show left button what you use?
thanks
Guys, i'm a new tekken player, i'm maining Kuma atm i think I am Dominator or the rank right below, how much harder is Bryan to learn than Kuma ? Knowing that I obviously don't master Kuma yet at all
Bryan is one of the hardest to play. Wayy harder.
I was hyped by Brian but the execution of his combos are too hard for me on controller.. I give up 😑 ..
It's a hard journey to learn Bryan man, but trust me there is no Character quite like him in my opinion. If it motivates you I also play with controller 😉
and try going for the easy Combo Routes they do enough damage.
Yo I’ve got most of these down but I can only get the QCF 2 2 ender to land 2 1 won’t work and 2 3 doesn’t either any advice?
Like the b3,f2 lands but the follow no matter it’s 1 or 3 doesn’t
You have to deep dash to the point where Bryan stops dashing basically. I recommend pressing forward > forward(hold) until Bryan stops in front of the screwed Character.
Goodluck with your practice!
is there a just frame for fisherman hook with forward or back 2 again?
Yeah, after WS2 you need to input f2 as just frame.
Subbed
I dont understand, how do u guys do the b2,1 ender after the screw? Its just impossible for me to do, only jet upper comes out everytime since i input ff to dash and then b2..
Would be cool to know if this helped you out!
micro walk works better i think dashing seems inconsistent
On the very first combo I can’t land the b2 after the qcf1 2. How???
If you are talking about qcf3,4 into b2 and your b2 doesn't connect, it means that you are inputting it too late. I know it might be challenging, but you have to try inputting it a bit earlier.
Goodluck!
Bruh, how do you run forward and do an instant b2 without getting a jet upper?
The trick lies in waiting half a second to a second before pressing b1, so the game doesn't register your forward input as part of the Jet Upper motion. Try dashing towards your opponent as quickly as possible to give yourself enough time to wait before inputting b1.
I've explained this in detail in some other comments under this Video.
For the most part, you could also just go for b3~f2,4 or b3~f2,1 as an alternative ender. It won't do as much damage and won't Wall Carry as much but it'll help you be consistent.
@@LawFury Thanks, dude. I'll stick to b3 for now, but I'll work up to it.
Im assuming there's not much else to do with df3
There are more routes that you can go for, Bryan is pretty versatile when it comes to that. You could extend the combo even further with heat burst or heat dashes. Just know that the Combo at (02:00) is probably the most optimized when it comes to damage and wall carry.
after ws1 my 4 in df34 isnt coming out also dash into b24 is sending me into jet uppercut help?
Im not sure why the 4 is not coming out for some of you guys. It could be cause you press 3,4 too fast after another. And b2,4 turning into JU is mostly cause you didn't leave enough time after letting go of forward. try waiting for half a second after letting go of forward and then inputting b2,1.
If thats still not working for you just stick to b3~f2,1 or b3~f2,4 as ender.
Good luck practicing!
@@LawFury ty for taking the time to help man
How do u even get into back turned for Bryan
Mostly when you Sidewalk someone that just whiffed a big string and at some point you'll reach his back. Or if your opponent entered a Backturned stance (For example Feng).
Can anyone explain why sometimes after ws1 the second knee won’t come out. Then if it does I can’t hit b2
There is a tight window for inputting the knees after ws1, which can lead to b2,1 whiffing.
If you're still having trouble, don't stress too much about it, just stick with the easier option for now.
Good luck!
what do you do for wall enders after a ~f21 high splat?
I think you just add a FF2 or QCB1 into regular wall combo
At high wallsplat, I typically opt for W! 1+2,1 > uf2,2,2,3. If you have Snake Eyes, I would recommend using the extended version W! 1+2,1 > uf2,2,2,2,2,3 for massive damage and good oki.
However, be cautious because the 1 in 1+2,(1) can drop if your combo becomes too long, such as with wallbreak and high wall carry. Generally speaking, it's very consistent if you stick to standard routes with a high wallsplat.
Another option I consider is b3~f3,4, delaying the last hit for more damage.
These are the routes I find optimal for now.
what do brackets mean @ 1:37? B2 (1)
@@LawFury Ah I see! Thanks a lot for the in-depth explanation!
How do I do jet upper more consistently?
Did bryan get nerfed, some of these combos aint hitting the same damage
No, it was my fault. I forgot to turn off Counterhit on some combos. That's why some of these deal more damage than without Counterhit.
Also having trouble connecting the b2,4 after using heat dash. Is there a delay? @LawFury
@@issacgonzales9488 b2,4 won't work after b4 > ff2 or uf3 > ff2. But it should easily work for Counterhit 4,3,(f4) > ff2.
I believe it only works on this route because the opponent is floating and not touching the ground when you connect ff2.
@@LawFuryI noticed that in your new vid. Beautiful bryan dude execution is on point
Kinda misleading having counter hit on on combos, that don't need a counter hit to launch (dmg wise). Great combos, tho!
Thanks again for pointing it out!
what does activating snake eyes do?
It gives you access to a few new moves. You can find them listed under Bryans Move List > All Techniques > During Snake Eyes
Steve please bro 🙏🙏
Bryan kinda nurfed you gotta learn how to play with him all over again he like a new character I hate it
